This technique is actually pretty dumb, especially for building mountains. It's much cheaper and easier to use DUPLO instead. That way you wont have to wast a shtload of bricks and 32x32 baseplates...
Hello my friend here Rafael from Brazil I came to thank you for your projects you always motivate me with your projects thanks to you I can make my ideas come true you help many people always keep passing your ideas on the followers we thank you
As someone new to building a Lego city, this was very helpful and informative. Thanks! Also...when I look away, I thought I heard Ernie from Sesame Street - you sound kind of like him (not meant as anything negative - just an observation). Thanks again for the tutorial video!
i'm like that as well. i want the larger bricks to make larger stuff. most of the smaller sets are list plated together. still don't know why lego bring out a 32x32 stud brick. i would love to see that.
just when you think you know everything about LEGO, someone finds yet another brilliant technique. Great video, Jay.
thank you! this method has been around for quite some time. very useful for collab builds.

I can’t wait for the city build
I used a technique similar to this to make basements for my Lego houses.
cool idea!
Lego needs to hire you
This was very helpful, I was dealing with my 16x16 plates bending and this worked thank you
you're quite welcome! glad to help.
I included a lazy version of your technique in a video for my Summer Camp. Now many of them are using it. Thank you for making this video!

Love all the vids
thank you chris!
Very nice! I see that when I want to use the road plates I have to figure out something else. (But this is not made for layouts right)
true! it's really meant for landscaping.
U inspired me to do legos and u are a awesome human being and can u do another tutorial on a vehicle plz
You can make a city By if you buy some Lego city building
I need a way to elevate my city so it's above my water baseplates. Just not sure if it's worth it to do something similar to this.
i've seen others elevate their cities with lumber to make platforms. then fill around the edges with mountains and cliffs to hide the platforms.
Or use Baeplates from Next. Size like a Baseplate an use it like normal plate. Get iit by Amazon.
Wow it helped a lot when i build my houses they always comeout because of the flexibility.
I will use my useless lego pieces to make the width😅
glad to help. i'm using my bulk unused lego as well to make these.
@@jaystepher 😂😂
Good tutorial
Thank you
How can I make streets using mils
you would have to plate them with tiles and such. sad thing is lego doesn't make road plates.
Don't understand why Lego just wants to go with everything being small pieces now. I don't understand why Lego hates base plates.

If i had enough bricks ;-,
if you have junk bricks you don't use like pink or discolored ones, those would work.

Just another way for Lego to sell more bricks.
true. maybe one day lego will make an official mils style plate.
