Over the years, the Ford / Shelby relationship has evolved, with Shelby doing the conversions on the early cars, and eventually Ford bringing production in-house. By 2006, Shelby wanted to turn the wrenches on Shelby branded cars, so they re-worked the arrangement once again. The result was the 2007 Shelby GT, a car that was born a Mustang, then shipped to Shelby American in Las Vegas for the Shelby Treatment, installed by Shelby techs. From The Brothers Collection.

I would add it. The Shelby GT's have more pure Shelby DNA then the GT500. Where the GT500 where put together at Ford. The GT's where shipped to Shelby in Las Vegas to be turned into Shelby GT's.
ForPointSix 4.6 yes send it to Shelby so they can put Ford parts on the GT. Whatever. Bunch of badges for not much.
FYM ASMD I had no idea Ford owns Husrt (all manuals come with there shifters). Also Shelby would add (at extra cost of course) Paxton, whipple, or a Kenne Bell supercharger, where you would get side strips that said Shelby GT/SC. You could add Bear 4 pot brakes, Autometer guages. A host of other mods not just Ford Performance Parts. The Car shown in this video is just the base Shelby GT,
FYM ASMD that’s typically what someone with an svt-modified mustang would say. these are an example of a real shelby. that’s the difference that many people tend to get upset over.
There sweet cars but the king of Shelby American is the supersnake.In 2007 the Shelby gt was the entry level Shelby definitely not above a gt500

THAT'S A BEAUTIFUL CAR LOL MY BUDDY HAD ONE IN THE SAME COLOR AS A SC CAR LOL I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT IT BUT I HAVE MY 07 SHELBY GT AND MY 08 GT 500 AND MY 07 427 EDITION CONVERTIBLE SUPER SNAKE AND LASTLY MY GRABBER BLUE 900HP SUPER SNAKE.
This car has been altered slightly from original. The Shelby GT came factory with dual nine inch silver Lemans stripes, deleted on this car. Mind you; mine is stripe delete as well (I like the look), and the scoop has been painted black from the original silver.
It’s an aluminum hood on these cars, not fibreglass.
Looking at purchasing one this weekend. Same color too. Hope all goes well!!
LeMans stripes are missing and the hood scoop is fiberglass as well as the hood. No spare tire , jack or lug wrench but a air compressor is included. I have a 07 Shelby GT Nor Cal edition . White with Silver Stripes . Chassis dynoed with the 5 speed manual @ 294 rwhp @ 296 rwtq. Stock. Added cams , ceramic coated headers with better tune and chassis dynoed @ 331 rwhp & 329 rwtq . Swapped 3.55:1 rear gears to 3.73:1 and turned a 12.14 1/4 mile @ 111 mph
Damn, all that and it still isn't a 10 second car? Just need to find 19 more HP and I bet you're there. I wonder if the shitty CA emissions control bullshit has anything to do with the stock reduction of HP.

Car didn't get a 90mm throttle body. That's the stock 55mm throttle body. The intake tube is probably 90mm.
It came with a 90mm MAF housing.

I have an 07 and love it!! Only drawback is it's an automatic.

I just picked one up and it had 3,700 miles and I got it for 12k. Only issue is that the original owner died in it and he wasn't found for a couple of weeks.... that said, it's only drawback is that on really hot days it smells pretty ripe.

If the Bro lack inspiration for rare models , here a list : 1970 Pontiac Tempest GT-37, 1973 Firebird Formula SD-455 ,1977 SD-455 Pontiac Can -Am Lemans , 1966-67 Pontiac LeMans Sprint 6 Cyl OHC, any 1966-67 OHC Six intermediates from Pontiac could be interesting from the historic point of view .These '07 Stang is little bit too new .
I honestly believe that this is 1) the best looking car 2) best sounding car, 3) Given the stated HP this car wickedly fast in 2nd and 3rd gears- say, 30-80 MPH 4) You will NEVER EVER get more compliments thasn I have receieved in my white one/ BIZARRE- I tell people = GO GET ONE, as time passes by, they hem and hall. ast 14 years, The only thing that dates it are the chunky lights imo. PS/ The 500 rides higher, doers not sound so great, Shelby loved the GT, imo- "for the people"

I agree. Never understand why Shelby would bolt on a fake hood scoop, that's something I'd expect a 19 year old kid to do to his ricer, not a company like that. Not really that impressed by this car, I'd spend a few more dollars and get a GT500.
Agree, the Bullitt is cooler in this case, if I couldn't afford a GT500. I had a 2001 Bullitt once that I LOVED. Have a GT500 now though.

Why I love the old Mustang cars so much.... There so uncomfortable to drive I've set in one and it's so uncomfortable if I had to drive it for more than 5 miles I would have to have a masseuse massage the creeks in my neck out....

Wow!!! For the extra 11,000 thousand above the standard GT..You get just a CAI, Throttle body, Tune, vinyl sticker, strut brace, a short throw shifter adapter, ball, floor mats, x pipe and a plaque...wow...$1300 bucks in aftermarket parts and you will have a Shelby too! Definitely takes away from "I just raced and beat a Shelby Mustang" because everyone who has a mustang gt does those exact same bolt on mods...and most add long tubes, cams ect... The Mustang Shelby GT is just a pretend super car...Not to be confused with the same year Mustang Cobra Shelby 500 which is a actual investment super car.

I own a 65' Fastback Mustang. My uncle bought this car brand new. He seen a 1965 Gt350 and set out to buy one. After he found out the 1965 GT 350 package option cost $ 1,500 dollars, he ordered a plain Jane white fastback and Shelbyized it himself for $ 500 dollar. And now you know the rest of the story. Very, very similar scenario here.

Those orange front turn signal lights look so tacky and dated now. Looks like they came from the 1980s... so much so that on my 06 GT I swapped them out this summer for smoked ones which look so much better.

As an owner of a Shelby GT as it rolled off the lot at Shelby. This 300 mile car has a lot wrong with it. Starting with the missing stripes...

James Dingell that’s exactly what I was thinking while watching this video. It was very upsetting to see that sgt without its stripes. on top of that, he even mentioned that they only come with the side stripes LOL.
You could have gotten the 07 Shelby gt without the stripes.My 07 white Shelby gt has the stripes.The only thing I would say about the car is the tires just not wide enough even for the 319hp the car puts out.

Very nice, but just another new car full of electronic crap just waiting to break down. You have to look close to see one of these new ones is a Shelby. They look like every other Mustang going down the road. Should be on some used car lot or Ebay. My Shelby collection stops with the 1970 models. Next thing we'll see is the Brothers buying up every Mustang II Cobra and King Cobra they can find.

this car is horrible, I saw one in person today and thought it had to be fake. the hood scoop and side scoops are non functional, they are just for looks. the 20 horsepower gain is a fucking joke for Shelby, the stripes on the side are bad quality. I guarantee it is maybe $1000 in parts but they charged $30,000 plus for it. this car sucks and is a total scam.

There are tons of cars with non-functional scoops, inluding Mustangs of the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and 2000's. The Original GT350 in 1965 made 306hp, the K code 289 Mustang made 271hp, so the Shelby GT350 only had 35 more HP than the top of the line Ford produced 289 engine. So I'm not seeing the big deal regarding this Shelby only having 20 more HP. In reality, looking at the numbers, the 20 HP is not a joke for a Shelby. If you tally up the parts that are on the Shelby GT, from the Intake, TB, ECU, Sway Bars, Shocks, Springs, Struts, and new 3.55 rearend (Not a gear change, but a completely new rearend), you are way north of $1000.
