I’d love to get your thoughts on the Koenig Arius. There are some reviews out there but not many owners just loaners on channels. I want to see how you see the knife as someone who uses their knives

Jacob White the best place to find one readily is the strider Facebook group otherwise follow strider knives, Marisa strider and Josh Lee on instagram and they post when they drop new knives on the strider website. Hope this helps cause I know how it is trying to get into striders.

@neroknives I would go with the Koenig Arius. I have that along with most brands in your video but the Koenig blends so many desirable features. The Arius is my favorite knife ever that I have owned for me I prefer a Arius versus the traditional holy trinity although the Sebenza would probably last longer.

    I would pick
    1) Microtech
    2) Buck
    3) Benchmade
    4) Hinderer
    5) Medford
    Honorable mention:
    Strider, Spyderco, Case

Just got a LUDT.... my collection is pretty diverse and I have to say.... as an all around do it all pocket knife.... the LUDT is an absolute champ.... cuts like a laser and actually holds an edge longer than it should.
    Good reviews...

Welcome back! I have missed the videos. My top 5 is very similar. Hinderer, Chris Reeves, microtech, strider, and Protech. Love my Koenig mini goblin, the clip just doesn’t go over my jeans all that well so it doesn’t get a ton of pocket time unfortunately

Wow, you really have a phenomenal assortment of wonderful blades. I can absolutely relate, but I am nowhere close to your level my brother. You have a wonderfully stocked blade store there. I value your opinion because you definately know what you are talking about. When talking about different blades, you can literally compare one blade to another, this type of thing definately gives one a very informed opinion. I loved the video.

IMO, Reate only made sense when they were a newer company charging $250 and below. Once they put their prices in line with CRK and Hinderer, I just can’t see it, unless you want a custom design that is well made, like their Kirby Lambert models.

Welcome back man. Here’s my “opinion” on Chinese knives and why I prefer USA knives. Here’s the main reason why. What happens when you need parts or have an issue with your Chinese WE or Reate knife? Can you send it back to China to have it fixed and get good customer service? Will you ever see your knife again? How long will it take?

    • @hphillips7425

I agree with you on the American made knives. I happen to own two guitars. They are fender Stratocaster‘s and both of them are excellent guitars. One is made in the United States and the other one is made in Japan. Honestly the one made in Japan is far more superior as far as quality and craftsmanship. It happens to play better than my American made guitar. This is a well-known fact and the guitar world. Guitars made in Japan are significantly more expensive than guitars made anywhere else. I stay away from guitars made in China Taiwan Indonesia career and basically anywhere else but Japan and the United States of America. I’m on a waiting list for a Coil to go on my guitar it is a pick up and it’s hand wound by a Japanese woman that is famous and has been hand wrapping pick ups for years. It will be five years before I get this coil pick up LOL but it is worth it.. In a lot of ways I see the knife industry been the same as the guitar industry. I am new to the knife world so I’m going to keep following what I have learned in the guitar world.

Nothing wrong with S35VN. Would pick GEC for the fifth brand due to the fact that they are amazing at what they do.
Not interested in a Ferrum Forge of Medford. Had a Koenig Arius in M390. Sold it, because I did not carry it. Too thick. Rather carry a SnG or CRK.

Respect your opinion a lot. We have way too many "American made knives are the best" people nowadays who are unreasonable. It's fine to buy American made only , and it's understandable, but when you kick other brands just because it's non American made without even comparing it, now that's very shallow and dense.
Ps: I'd choose the XM over the Reate too lol.

He's back, *baby* ! Looking forward to 'Cooking with Vinny' . As for WE, it's not your opinion, their lockup/interface is worse than questionable, it's dangerous. It's a shame because they make good knives. As for U.S. makers, I've been very impressed with my SteelCraft Mini Glimpse (Chinese constructed I know). it is unflinchingly solid and though it has some features I would've changed (big flipper, uncomfortable Begg clip) it has stayed in my pocket because it's so freakin' well designed and reliable. Also loving my Ferrum Forges. Great to see you.
