  • This 32 Chevy hasn't been on the road in 32 years! It was last titled in 1989. Plus its an old school 60's built hot rod! Will this forgotten and abandoned old school hot rod start?

What a cool relic! Love everything about it. Blend of vintage parts from multiple makes is some true old school hot rodding

A pure scavenger survivor, the origin of the neux rat rod: patina painted Pick-n-Pull parts bin style that's getting popular again.
I bet he could roll this into any rat show and people would ask him where did he find the parts and he could just flaunt that it was original like that, period Built. 🤣

Oldsmobile rockets are my favorite. That drive shaft is crazy. That technology was insanely unheard of.

Those headlights look like the same Lucas driving lights used on 68/69/70 Shelby Mustang and GT/California Specials. You would be able to buy them as accessories back in the day. Someone restoring a Shelby would pay for originals!

Sweet very nice, great relic to see back on the road. Never saw a reservoir so polluted LOL. Looks like an "Iron Trap Garage" recovery great share thank you.

I’m surprised it came back around after blowing it out and adding fluid

Looking at the picture of its earlier days the radiator shell and side feature lines looked more like a 34, I say that because I had a 34 pick-up and a 34 coupe. The 32 shell may have been added later the steering wheel is definitely a 58 Chevy Belair, had one of those too. The tail lights are 41 to 48 Chevy, they were the same tail lights used for those years.
I my friend am very happy for you, I'd give my eye teeth for a car like that. That Olds engine was quite popular for the hot rods of the 60's, I put 324 Olds rocket motors in both my coupe and my pick-up. Really cool car. 👍

    Cool ‘32!!
Steering wheel is a 1958 Chevy non-Impala passenger car.
    (2nd/3rd tier 59 &60 were similar)

Weather and age have turned a once mint hot rod into a rat rod. I think this is really cool. I would not do a thing to this car other than make it drivable and not fall apart on the road, otherwise it is perfect as it is... well maybe change the headlights, not really crazy about those but if they work leave em I guess.

From Leo: 55 Chevy trucks did not have horn rings, upscale cars did. Cool old car.

Nice! I'm (re)building my 1932 Chevy sedan that my Dad bought in 1971 and my parents built as a street rod throughout the 70s and drove from 1981-2016.
Your driveshaft is out of a 1957-1959 Ford, likely out of same car as the rear end. Taillights are 46-48 Chevy.

That front axle is probably 50's chevy truck. Im building a 32 pontiac. Getting ready to replace the wood with steel inside.

Clear coat new brakes and master cylinder, fresh coker tires, and rebuild the carb and add a msd ignition.and you have a perfect true lineage rat.

The front axel looks to be stock,
I have a 30 pickup and just bought a 32 axel, I believe it was the first year for juice brakes.

The shape of that tailshaft would be because it would hit the chassis when it bottoms out.
Have those front rims checked, the rivets holding the centres to the steel rims, come loose.
