Yanking a hot blow dryer or even warm blow drying through my hair is a thing of the past. And the shedding involved in the processed has decreased at least 80%. I just bought the Revlon round brush dryer. I love it. My hair was stretched but extremely soft which I’ve never experienced with a blow dryer. Idc how much people say the revair is worth it. $400 is extremely high. At the end of the day it’s applying heat to the hair which can cause damage. I love my revair and use it most wash days. I bough the revlon but returned it because it absolutely pulled at my hair. You can get a smoother finish at tension 4 and high heat for a shorter period of time (like 1 min per section). The high setting is lower than regular bow dryer low setting. Give it a try. I do notice something on you that I've been suspecting, which is that the revair side is more dry looking. I'm sure both sides are actually dry, but the blown out side doesn't look as dry. I find the revair over dries my hair, so am planning to experiment with only getting my hair 75% dry with it next time, then using a regular blow dryer and paddle brush to finish it off and dry the roots especially. I think that may give me the best of both worlds, no combing/brushing through it as I stretch it, but using the blowout method to finish the drying with more luster. Wish me luck!
Thank you for your review. I could see the results easily, and I love your quiet, calm tone of voice. It was very soothing, too. Many ppl may not know now but the Revlon has been recalled due to it overheating and exploding on some ppl. This is probably the newer versions within the last couple of years. Mine is 7yrs old and I haven't had any problems. Anyone that purchased it within the last year or 2 be very careful and keep an eye on it. There is currently a lawsuit going on.
Yes! Thank you for sharing this, I just watched @naptural85 video on this. I haven’t had any problems with mine either but it is something to be aware of.
Im starting to love my natural hair just watching this video i love our type of hair it can look short and can be long thanks for showing us the dryers
Well, this isn't what I was expecting. A cousin of mine sent me a video of this thing through Facebook. Because my daughter's hair is extremely curly. It takes me about 30 min to add products (coconut oil and detantler) and detangle her hair. By the time I'm done, it's already dry. I thought this was a dryer and automatic detangler. I'm not going to detangle her hair and dry it for $400. Even though her hair is waist long, it still towel and drip dries pretty fast.
Thank you for this! I'm thinking of getting a Revair, too! I use the same Revlon paddle brush dryer and have found nothing to rival it. However, I use the tool on my two daughters' hair, and they've lost so much hair from using that thing! I like the high heat on it, but it's super high and really, really hot! It's ok for touch-ups, but the initial process leaves them with a ball of hair in the brush! I'm looking into this Revair so they can save some hair during the blow or process! I think it might be worth the investment if it'll give good results without pulling their hair out.
It saves so much time! The more I use it, the more I love it. I even got my mom and fiancée to try it, they both have different hair textures than me and it worked great. It’s really gentle and works on locs and braids ❤️
Bought the revlon hair dryer since its on offer. I think with the right technique and hair prep you could probably avoid snagging and have amazing results. Your hair is beautiful ❤❤ mine isnt as long so hopefully the brush will still wotk out for me
Great review on both. Been a lazy natural for years I would love the revair but cost of living is real ,plus living in Uk so going to try the cheaper version 👍🏽
Exactly. Think of the RevAir in terms of price per use. You'll get your money's worth. Bought one yesterday and was definitely impressed with the time saved and how my hair felt. Played around with the settings and found what worked for me. Like her, I don't plan on using mine on the highest tension setting (4). And (2) for heat with the cold shot at the end. Yes, it is definitely cumbersome but the time saved is priceless. I had to save for my purchase.
You have beautiful hair from the very beginning and it came out well with the Rev Air but I think if you had used a higher heat setting (I hate to say heat cause you actually don’t feel heat) your hair would have been completely straight. Concentrating on the scalp more would have gotten that straight as well. Also four parting on each side would have helped. One more thing, they call it a hair straightener, not a blow dryer. I love mine but due to arthritis in my hands, it’s not easy. I’m not familiar with the other appliance but you’re correct, they work completely differently.
I love both. But i agree about the setup which makes me reach for my revlon more than my revair at times. But i wanna change tjst because i have 4c hair and that paddle brush is rough lol. I have a 10% off code for revair as well incase folks wanna save a couple coins.
Thank you for the review! I'm leaning towards the Repair. Can you please share what mic you use with this video? It sounds amazing! Please and thank you!
Wow!! I think I finally found my hair twin. My hair grows, but thin. So i kept cutting it to see if it gets thicker. My daughters hair grows, and one section of her hair is like 2 sections of mine. i realize now we have different hair types. Not everyones hair is going to be thick all over. our curl pattern is different as well. I have both and yes.. That Revlon be breaking off my hair. The REVAIR is GOLDEN!!!! LOVE MY REVAIR. THE REASON ALSO IF YOU HAVE KNOTS IT COMES OUT EASIER WITH THE REVAIR.
1st of all, your hair is amazing! I blow dry my hair every wash day and there’s no comparison in my opinion. I’ve retained so much length over the past year using my Revair….it’s amazing! I purchased the Revlon unit when it 1st dropped and I didn’t like it at all, a few of the bristles came off, too much friction and I never felt like my roots got straight enough. To each his/her own but my hair is worth the investment. Thank you for sharing!❤❤❤
Thank you girl for this video. I can’t afford to have more heat damage. You need to get RevAir sponsor girl! Girl that affiliations baby! I will wait for a sale for RevAir. I need that. I have the Revlon blow dryer!!
I used to have the exact same Revlon dryer. It worked sooo well but after using it for about two or so years, my hair started thinning and eventually breaking so badly that I had to cut 10 inches to save the rest of my hair. I think the big metal part in between the bristles where the brush bristles are connected to gets extremely hot and eventually leads to thinning from running hair repeatedly over a super hot piece of metal. After you use it, you can touch the metal part to see how hot it gets. It’s unfortunate because it made drying my hair so easy but had i known what would happen, absolutely not
when you started the braid to keep it out the way I just knew your hair was going to be wavy on that side. Do you usually go back over one good time it to re-straighten
Beautiful. I'm not sure if I missed it in the video but did you only have water on your hair? Did you use any other products like a leave-in conditioner or heat protectant? If so can you tell me the brands that you use
I’ve finally decided to get the Revair for my baby girls and I…I’ll bite the bullet and do installments, cus I’ve tried so many , and Revlon broke my hair so bad I gave it away.. but I am 4b 4c.. I think it’s for a looser curl or eventually you’ll start to realize breakage
Can you try the Shark STYLE iQ AirWave, possible dupe? Im not bothered if it gives beach waves, i just want it stretched. The UK girlies can get the rev air anymore😞
I'm still thinking because I don't blow dry often. I'm a real Natural so I don't really wear straight styles. Maybe next year. I have a brush dryer & the results are similar to Revlon brush, it's really all I need. Thank you for sharing this way because you can really see the difference.
I think my hair density is 300% of this 😢 and around 4 inches longer but it’s naturally a little straighter than this so I wonder if I’d need to spend longer breaking it into 3x more sections 😢. I’m just gonna be discouraged if the hair doesn’t get straight! There will be no options left!
@@cfoster6804 I was shocked at how well it works. I have type 4 hair (I’m West African) and I usually wear natural or protective styles because blow drying it myself feels like a lot of work and also is emotionally exhausting. Still, my stylist suggested I do for a number of reasons and to save myself money I have to do it myself more often. You will get an arm workout, but the whole tugging through your hair (I’m tender headed as they say) and feeling exhausted half way through is gone! It’s worth the money for me.

I know it's two months later but if you still have that code?
I'm tiyad of the Dominican salons charging me $60 to fry my hair ...I got a rev air I'll def update my hair thick thick
I’ve had both and will ALWAYS choose the Revair. I threw that revlon brush in the trash! It was ripping my hair out and didn’t even get it smooth
The price point is HIGH …. My hair gets straight with the revlon brush and I will have to continue to use it until I can afford it the $400 one
Thank you for the review! I'm leaning towards the Repair. Can you please share what mic you use with this video? It sounds amazing! Please and thank you!
I use the rode mic pro I love it so much! I found it on Amazon.
@@TerranDailey THANK YOU, for sharing that with me! Thank you!
Queen🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾❤❤❤. Thank you for your Tutorial, now I can make a inform decision!
Depends on what look you want. For a more sleek look and elongated then rev air will do. Both looks are beautiful.
My husband said the revair looks like a vacuum 😂
I said that too
That's basically what it is
1st of all, your hair is amazing!
Right I’d love a sponsorship from them lol It really is a great tool, sometimes they have coupon codes I think I got $30 off
I used to have the exact same Revlon dryer. It’s unfortunate because it made drying my hair so easy but had i known what would happen, absolutely not
I had my Revlon dryer for years too. Now that I use the Rev-Air I can see how damaging the Revlon is and it gets way too hot.
when you started the braid to keep it out the way I just knew your hair was going to be wavy on that side. Do you usually go back over one good time it to re-straighten
or does it just kind of like loosen up to straight over time
RevAir is perfect for silk pressing ❤❤ The Revlon will work wonders on fine hair
Guess imma have to kick out that $400 😂
lol! It’s worthy every penny
I know! Dayum! 😂
I would love to buy the rev air so bad, but there is STILL no shipping to europe
rev air dried it longer and less poofy. Good video. You have pretty hair.
The Revlon air. Thank you for the video cant wait to try it.
Beautiful! Did you detangle your hair before blowing it out? If so, how? Fingers?
Yes I did detangle first. I used a tangle teezer.
Beautiful. I'm not sure if I missed it in the video but did you only have water on your hair? Did you use any other products like a leave-in conditioner or heat protectant? If so can you tell me the brands that you use
She used nothing.
Can you do a video on cleaning the revair?
I have both and I like both depending on my mood and what I wanna do❤
I will try to use a regular vaccum and see if it works
Lol
That’s a good way to introduce fecalmatter and mites into your hair
Not joking
😂😂😂
Thanks for getting right to it. This was helpful.
Can you try the Shark STYLE iQ AirWave, possible dupe? Im not bothered if it gives beach waves, i just want it stretched. The UK girlies can get the rev air anymore😞
I had the revlon hair dryer. It works but in the long run causes split ends.
And a bit of heat damage in my opinion.
I love your voice and how you pronounce your words:) Your hair is beautiful.
revair has works better for me. i can wear stretched styles more often with less worry about damage.
I have both and let me tell you... Revlon = A LOT OF unecessary breakage! VS RevAIR = ZERO breakage! And dries super fast!
I’ll have to stick with my Revlon as the Revair doesn’t ship international 😕
I agree, Great review but I can't get the product in the UK 😢
Just got mine off eBay! Can’t wait to use it!
Will you try the Dyson air strait?
I definitely want to try the Dyson next
Thank you for this review! I’ve been wrestling with these machines! ❤😂
Hey curly hair is beautiful ❤
I'm still thinking because I don't blow dry often. I'm a real Natural so I don't really wear straight styles. Maybe next year. I have a brush dryer & the results are similar to Revlon brush, it's really all I need.
Thank you for sharing this way because you can really see the difference.
I like the Revair results better
I think my hair density is 300% of this 😢 and around 4 inches longer but it’s naturally a little straighter than this so I wonder if I’d need to spend longer breaking it into 3x more sections 😢. I’m just gonna be discouraged if the hair doesn’t get straight! There will be no options left!
This was a good review. I am looking for a hair dryer so this has given me some light into what I should be buying. New sub here. Stay connected.
Thank you for subbing! 🤗
Thank you 🩷
what products do you use ?
Can I do a trim after using the revair or should I go for the Revlon hot air brush before trimming
wow! guess I'm about to spend that $400. They have mother's day sale right now.
It’s worth the price! Hope you enjoy it.
Yes I just got mine today. It was like$354 with the discount. You don't need the bigger set honestly
@@laydklela9111 I ordered the same! It comes Wednesday and I can’t wait to use it!
@@TheBohodiva How do you like it?
@@cfoster6804 I was shocked at how well it works. I have type 4 hair (I’m West African) and I usually wear natural or protective styles because blow drying it myself feels like a lot of work and also is emotionally exhausting. Still, my stylist suggested I do for a number of reasons and to save myself money I have to do it myself more often.
You will get an arm workout, but the whole tugging through your hair (I’m tender headed as they say) and feeling exhausted half way through is gone! It’s worth the money for me.
I have the same pink brush
Your naturally beautiful 😍 I just had to comment that most women not naturally beautiful your beautiful and your hair is beautiful ❤❤
Thank you so much!!
@@TerranDailey 😘
Thank you sis for your video it help me a lot
My Revair is literally collecting dust and I’m trying to sell it. The Revlon brush is nice . I have use it in modesty.
Thank you for such and informative review!🥰
Which one is the latest/new version of the RevAir?
So basically the Revlon is like using an original blow dryer with a paddle brush to stretch it?
yes pretty much, it does a good job 🌺
Greetings to all. Thank you for sharing the Revlon hair blow drying brush, and comparison with Rev Air products.
What an excellent andobjective video.
How much is this machine and how can I get it in Rwanda?
My sister and I are going to literally split the revair cost in half, and both pay for it so we can share. Cuz it looks like its worth it based on the videos I have seen
Yes it is! Everyone in my family uses mine lol it works on all hair types. Hope y’all enjoy.
Rev Air all day. 💯
