I remember being moderately surprised the first time I heard there were no trains in Iceland (I'm from the UK, for context). But then I thought about it for about 2 seconds and realised there's not much point investing hundreds of millions of kronur in rail infrastructure if a new volcano could just suddenly explode up its ass and make it unusable.

It is part of our culture, but I think it is a gross overstatement to say that many people truly believe they exist. I need to do a video origin of elves because there are three different versions. One involves Adam from Adam and Eve not getting laid. It's hilarious.

Exactly... It is also a question of throughput. Even of you moved all of Iceland around every day. It still wouldn't make financial sense.
