I love weird bible, it’s given me something to listen to at work while also reconnecting me to the faith I’ve moved away from as I got older. I was raised a catholic and went to a catholic school, but I feel like I’ve learned more out of these discussions then I did back then. You guys are killing it!

As a teen i tried to read the bible just out of curiosity (i ended up only reading Génesis, Exodus and Apocalypse because i was a dumb teen that wanted to see "the cool stuff").
One of the things that stuck out to me is how frustrating it was that the chosen people continue to disobey and reject God even after they *SEE* with their own eyes his power create miracles for their sake.
Wanting a human king because they want to be like other nations is part of that, it makes no sense logically but they still want it after being warned.
As far as i could tell the Hebrews are a reflection of humanity as a whole, capable of living a great life but actively deciding against it.

Really thank you for this podcast. God has used this in my life. As I watched each episode it was like God was telling me something. For instance when I watched the episode about job, I had God take away things I valued, so I felt like I was prepared before hand to go through it. God is using this podcast. Thank you, really thank you.

I actually just watched the prince of Egypt for the first time a couple days ago. I’m 25 and I never knew it was a thing until I heard about it on one of these podcast episodes. Best animated movie of all time.

This is one-hundred percent my favorite podcast. Others may have episodes more often, or have a higher budget, but this is both the tie between my three favorite content creators and the most interesting religion based podcast I know of and I stand by that.

Pastor Allen Nolan of a church in Oklahoma is on TH-cam. He talks about the trinity mirroring our design of body, soul, and spirit, and how each of those is split into three components. He preaches straight out of the bible and walks you through the different translations from greek and hebrew to get to the originally intended meanings. I really enjoy his sermons and i think you guys would find them very interesting and info-rich.

1:23:55 Frank E. Peretti wrote This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness, among other books.
These 2 specifically are fictional stories that go into how the spirit world interacts with the physical world (angels, demons, etc.).
For works of fiction, they are extremely compelling and pretty accurate based on stories I've heard from former Satanists, etc. (real ones, not the edge lords). Some of my favorite books of all time. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Additionally for Samson, looking at KD ratio, when he knocks over the pillars and kills all the Philistines at the party, it says he killed more in his death than in his life.
So, as a single man, Samson has best ratio, no question.

I love this series. I would recommend recording the audio locally and syncing it in post to get around the robot voice issue. You'd need jump cuts but you could toss in a transition or something on top, world is your oyster, especially since dagon is a false god and the real God gave us dominion over the earth

1:29:13 as a conservative who also happens to be Christian, I’m gonna assume that you meant the hardcore Bible thumper type of people then? Like my old piano teacher from years back who was absolutely of the mindset that if you sin once then you go to Hell, and she was liberal and Christian. Right? Just wanting clarification to clear my conscious is all
Absolutely love all of this content, from the lore lodge and wendigoon to the weird bible podcast. Genuinely brings enjoyment and peace to me to hear you guys talk passionately about all of this stuff.

Something we’re digging into. I (Aidan M) like Dr. Heiser’s suggestion that there was a “heavenly host” of divine beings that were not gods, and did not have the powers of creation, but were assigned to govern over the nations.

2:50:40 Hebrews 9:27 says "it is appointed to a man once to die, and then Judgement".
2nd Corinthians says to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD
These 2 Scriptures seem to pretty clearly indicate there is no such thing as purgatory and that immediately upon dying, we will stand before Christ and face His judgement.

Whoever mentioned rizzing Jesus needs to ask for forgiveness man. Even on bible podcasts the saviour cant just be left alone😂
As long as no one is cucked for the carrot i think society will manage to scrape by.
Wait, people actually think that Adam had any kind of human companionship, let alone a wife, before Eve? I'm spoiled cause I just was reading Genesis the last couple days but there's no way to interpret that. It's purely closing your eyes and seeing what you wanna see
If MLK had a group of defense bears, the FBI would still have accomplished their goal, but the right dude would definitely have been hunted down
The standard for obedience changed, the standard for respect never has on a sex based standard at least. Even on a race based standard biblically it never changed honestly. We all should still respect each other and thats the given til its reasonably not. And biblically, unfortunately for us stubborn people, there's no god given reason there's not. We're just in an era now where the only obedience needed is to God. And boy do more, me included, need to do better at that
Methodists cant even get together and talk😂. I bet if Wendigoon went to Westboro though he'd have even those psychos like "yeah youre right, it's God's place to jduge" in like 2 hours
Im honestly comfortable saying it was always condemned inner-family copulation. Theres a reason Noah, his wife and sons, and his son's wives were on the arc. Even going back further to Cain, he had a family too, so God clearly created more people that goes unmentioned. I wouldn't be surprised if God placed more humans on earth, or had more righteous people survive the flood, that went unmentioned too

The irony here is palpable…. Please actually go read books, also look up what muslim faith entails, also look up the history of Palestine and hamas, and Jesus was absolutely not a Palestinian Jew… A. Palestinians hate Jews and want to completely genocide the entire Jewish population, and B. The Palestinians are not Jewish. Look up and research what you support.
