This is my favorite of the wendigoon podcasts. Wendy please keep doing it more frequently. I neeed it more in my life and we need more like this on the internet
I know you both are extremely busy, but I wish you could do a Sunday school every week. I love Aiden's intelligent delving and Isaiah's intelligent interpreting. You make it understandable.
@@knittinninja Well Isiah has gotten so massively popular, he is on 2 other podcasts with other youtubers, is currently on tour with one of them, and barely has enough time for his own channel, but his first podcast was Weird Bible with Aiden, well it's Aidens podcast but Isiah is half of it, and it had been a so long since this podcast has put out an episode, so seeing him back on here means he hasent forgotten his old friends, which is just really nice, I love wendigoon but if he just ghosted Aiden and never showed up again personally I'd lose respect
So refreshing to see young people who believe in Christ and show it in their everyday life. You are growing so much faith in hearts as you go. God bless all of you
I love this podcast but I think the episodes centered around specific Bible stories are better than these concept centered shows. Focusing on a singular narrative is superior for such a loose, unscripted show. It brings natural organization to the discussion because you are following a story. An episode like this one is harder to follow, harder to learn/draw meaningful conclusions, and lacks direction. In contrast, your Samson episode or passion episode are some of my favorites. I could follow the story as you moved through it. I left the Samson episode feeling full of new insights to the story and a deeper appreciation for the little details I often miss in Biblical passages. I left the passion episode spiritually grown. I still think about points that Isaiah made during that episode when I mediate on the personhood of Jesus and the depths of the love and humility our Lord has for us. Thanks for another episode! I am always excited to see an upload here ❤
1:18:00 My pastor put it this way, “If you want what God wants, you’ll always get what you want.” Helps put things in perspective of how little we grasp the consequences of our actions and that the most direct path to happiness and contentment is submission to Him
Finally, Aiden dropping a whole lesson of near east biblical ancient worldview. I knew you had been a student of heisers books from past shows, but haven’t heard you drop the bomb on wendi. Until today! I’ve been waiting for to hear his opinions on it and to maybe open his mind to other concepts of the ancient world and language from the bible
Same thought here. So excited for this. Heiser's work on connecting data points from the old to the new testament has given me a deeper appreciation for what Christ did in his lifetime and on the cross. I know wendigoon loves Christ and i hope he jumps down the rabbit hole in this area of study. It is so rewarding and exciting to understand the weird things in the bible us westerners often overlook.
Was baptized today. Started watching this podcast earlier in the year, and y’all opened my heart to God in a way that years of studying philosophy couldn’t. Thank you for sharing the word of God and staying true to yourselves and your faith.
Aiden! You were speaking ny language here! Love Heiser and i am so thankful for you bringing up the more "controversial " ideas. Wendigoon, as always your words on Christ shine and resonate! Thank you for this podcast... i appreciate this podcast and tespectfully request MOOOOORRREEEE .... please
This episode was really good! I've been trying to read Unseen Realm recently, and was excited that I recognized the first part that Aiden referenced! But oh man... That vernacular. Reading the book is a slog, and I think I'm going to have to re-listen to that part of the podcast a few times to really wrap my head around it
Aiden said something about there not being any exorcists before Jesus, but Jesus himself contradicts this in Matthew 12:27 when he references the fact that the Israelites were casting out demons.
Revelation, singular, no S. It's a book predicting the downfall of Rome written in highly symbolic and figurative language, likely in part to avoid censorship by Roman authorities.
In two months please do an episode about Jesus’s birth, because I know this is a very basic request and nothing close to a “Ezekiel prophecies episode” or anything like that but it would make my holidays amazing this year and it would be interesting hearing Aiden go over the misconceptions of the wisemen being there at the birth of Jesus even though it historically makes more sense for them to have showed up like two years later, and it’s also a good time for Aiden to explain why Christmas isn’t pagan
The Bible does not give a definitive explanation for Angels and Demons. So we get the idea that the “greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.” We really needed a voice to speak on this so I am so blessed to have encountered the work of the late Michael Heiser. His work may be flawed and leaves as many questions and answers. But we needed his voice to speak on the Heavenly Hosts and the Unseen Realm. The church has swayed so far away from literal spirituality. It saddens me that he was branded heretical by some so quickly after his death. Mattis has a based point on this subject. Isiah, who I love, disappointed me on this subject. I’d be interested in both Mattis and Isiah’s Eschatology.
Now I agree with the channel name here. Also was very surprised to see wendigoon here. As i didnt know this channel before i clicked on it threw me off for a second. Great video.
Always nice to see another episode from the boys! In terms of suggestions for a new episode, it could be interesting to discuss the book of Ezekiel and its history and weirdness. It's certainly got a lot of things to discuss, such as Ezekiel's visions of God and Angels, as well as the prophecies of the war of Gog and Magog (or Gog FROM Magog depending on how you look at it), and the general state of the world at that point with how Israel had fallen into demon worship.
I disagree with some of your guys' theological takes, but i really do appreciate the WBP, it has genuinely helped me get closer to Christ. Continue the good work fellas.
@@Lucstar004it'd be faster to say the parts I disagree with, most of which are takes from previous episodes. "Gay christian", "once saved always saved", foul language (which I think the Aidens have stopped for the most part), and drunkenness are the major ones that come to mind.
@@lordbarron3352 fair enough, I disagree with most of those personally especially once saved always saved.. although I do question why you think gay Christians aren’t possible when we definitely have jealous Christians or wrathful Christians: are they not all equally as sinful?
@@Lucstar004 I suppose it depends if the description is active or passive. Active pursuance of sin means someone isn't a Christian, as they aren't repentant and don't seek Christ. On the flip side, I would consider someone repentant as Christian, as long as they aren't pursuing sin and pursue Christ. In the context he mentioned, it sounds more like the former than the latter.
@@lordbarron3352 Aiden did actually briefly mention the topic in one of the more recent WBP episodes (don’t remember the exact episode) and in that one, he mentioned the act itself as being the sin, not the attraction or inclination so to speak, so I don't entirely think he's saying "gay Christian" in the sense of actively pursuing sin. The fall of Lucifer came about at the Creation of Man. He and his followers (a third of the Host) were pissed that God created Man in His image and likeness, above the angels. Lucifer then set about to tempt Eve into sin.
I believe this oversimplification of the devil's rebellion may be rooted more in tradition than actual biblical text. Obviously something is going on with 1/3 of the angels in revelation but we must make sure we look at it in light of the passages before and after it (context)..which seem to be referring to the time of Christ's birth.

This might be a bit late, but I do have a story to share with either the Lore Lodge boys and/or Wendi about the time my family shared a house with the devil. It's a true story that ive been working on, collecting the testimonials from each family member and *trying* to write it in a (hopefully) timeline accurate way. If either of you guys would be interested, I can absolutely share it with you verbally or send it over. Thanks guys, and God bless your day :)
I know its apocryphal but one of my favorite types of demons comes from I think the Book of Enoch. When a Nephilim (GIANTS!) dies, their soul wanders the earth since they were not made with divine souls. Their souls would wander the earth for all time, and would become earthly spirits and demons. Just the idea that the progression of death for a Nephilim is becoming a demon is just crazy to me, though I could be wrong about certain things.
Question: where do you guys get that the devil swipes 1/3 of the angels (stars) at the birth of Christ? This is something I've never heard before. Please enlighten me
I misswd it, no! I had questions! 1. Why do protestants generally not like crucifixes? Is Exodus 20:4 not allow even Christian imagery? Since the saints Jesus are believed to be in heaven. I was raised Baptist fundamentalist so iconoclast. 2. What is the parable of the talents supposed to mean? 3. Why do some people believe Halloween is occult? 4. Why was the apocrypha or deuterocanonical taken out of protestant bibles? 5. Is practicing yoga without the religious aspect still idolatrous? Ive argued that worshipping any god would have to be intentional and conscious decision, so I think doing yoga stretches is fine and not worshipping Krishna. I met someone online 5 years ago who fervently argued it was idolatrous. I argued you can't unknowingly and subconscious worship a god. If anyone wants to answer these question feel free to.
