They lost prohibited firearms. Most citizens have never even seen or held one. I don’t think the RCMP should have firearms. They’re not responsible gun owners.

@@lootlovers-oluz9534 A Mp5 would be a sub machine maybe. But when they say machine gun I'm thinking belt fed gun. Idk. it only takes one bad cop to ruin it for everyone, that said, if one cop stole (or lost) over 200 guns, you'd think the RCMP would be able to figure it out. this is clearly a problem if there are multiple thieves, it indicates more than one and RCMP has a serious competency problem on its hands.
The machine guns fell into the lake during a canoe trip. I think the RCMP is fully capable of collecting all those scary guns the government has banned. They obviously won’t require very much storage space for them.
Maybe the RCMP should have their firearms taken. Most legal gun owners haven't lost any firearms, and yet the RCMP have lost a number of prohibited firearms including handguns, rifles, sub machine guns and fully auto machine guns. I have seen some very poor handling of firearms within the RCMP and was shocked when they went from revolvers to semi automatic pistols. Although trained, some members are not properly handling firearms.
Actual Headline should be: RCMP loses huge amount of firearms in 2021 and some in 2022. If anyone bothered to calculate: 2000-2019 = 600, divided by 20 ~ 30 per year. 2021 = 99 2022 = 44 2020, 2023 = 205-99-44 = 62, divided by 2 = 31 per year

Wow. If a civilian "lost" a restricted pistol, let alone a prohib full auto, which I assume would be MP5's and M4's the cops would stuff charges so far up their ass they would lose their license and life savings trying to fight it.
I think the quantity and severity of the weapons are not too bad. With enough money, pretty much any body in Canada can purschase them. Im just glad the list did not include grenade or grenade launcher!
How exactly do you lose a firearm? I never have. Let those that lost them pay for them. Incompetence to the extreme! You might find them in a stash of illegal firearms. How did they get them? Hmmmm?
Taking under consideration the impotency of police force I am not surprised. Actually surprised that the number its that small. And we wondering why police can't fight the criminals. They can't keep themselves disciplined and in order. What a shame
I'm not one for bashing on the RCMP, but if that were a private citizen, they'd be in a huge pile of trouble
Not the Mounties though!
Lost and stolen 2 different lists. Check out 2015 alone.
Especially with those automatic guns.
No to mention the swat team.. and heavy artillery that will show up. To try to reclaim it.
Stole you mean, how do you lose a gun?
Remember when they lost a grenade launcher in Vancouver ? Wild lool
Probably not stolen but re appropriated to clandestine groups
Nono… sold to the streets
Someone slipped it in their lunch bag and took them home
Shows a total lack of accountability in the RCMP, and incompetence of leadership. A consistent theme with the Mounties.
