Agree with this 100% the moment I started being profitable was when my emotions where in control in a win/loose situation. It's just about the trade and the move. Money is the outcome not the primary concern.

I realized after 2/3 years of trading that RISK MANAGEMENT & Psychology/discipline is absolutely necessary in trading YOU WILL NOT BE PROFITABLE, ima say that again you will NOT be profitable without those 3 simple rules & I mean it. Trust me folks listen to him. Study the markets & I mean STUDY like actually study the basics, certain reversal patterns/candles , back test , fundamental, technical … all of that boring shit yes study it all & I mean soak in all the knowledge. Risk 1-3% I know I know it sucks when you got a small account because the profits are small but please I beg you for YOUR sake just do it & continue to deposit money into your account eventually 1-3% will be a decent amount of profit. Couple hundred /thousand bucks. Just do it folks. This takes time it’s a marathon not a sprint & from my experience I say focus on the higher timeframes. Weekly,daily,4hr good luck you’re gonna need it👍🏾🍀

@@RamanSingh-tt8zi I understand your pain bro. That’s because demo account is based on principle of the market. In demo account, your technical analysis always work out, if it’s going high it will keep going high until trend is broken. If it’s falling same way till it’s broken.
@@RamanSingh-tt8zi But In Real Account, technical analysis is not enough. Fundamental analysis needs to come in, the News have a great effect on the market, the Feds too, the entire investing market affects the forex market, inflation affects it.
Sadly You need to gear all this up in real time to be a professional trader.

That’s what motivate me the most
What clicked for me was when I realized overcomplicating things was part of what was holding me back. I found that the simplest strategies actually worked and you just have to be consistent in the way that you show up every day despite fear telling you "don't trade today" after a losing streak. Trading on demo for a good amount of time is also very key. It's the best way to learn price action. Another thing is to use a trading simulator as you can focus more and you don't have to wait every day for lets say market open. You can trade 50 market opens in a weekend and gain experience that would have took you more than 50 days. Start by focussing on a specific time of day on a specific instrument. This goes hand in hand with not overcomplicating things. Once you get the hang of one it all slots together trust me.

i totally agree with you about the simulator - believe me, it makes all the difference. demo doesn't compare. i believe demo is good for ideation, the simulator to validate or discard, a small live account to refine psychology and emotional control before taking the plunge. TBH the strategy is the smallest component of successful trading.
I like your eye-to-eye basic conversational style! I'm new at trading and only just beginning to make small consistent wins.
It is imperative to understanding YOU ALONE are responsible TO you yourself FOR ALL YOUR DECISIONS and ACTIONS. Being willing to accept the times of FAMINE as well as the times of feasting, is vital.
In my country we build houses with bricks. Each brick is individually set in place with a good slop of cement and lined up with the others before the next brick is prepared. That is what I want my mindset to be. Enough bricks settled in concrete will eventually build me a secure house on a good foundation ---I hope!
So, for now, I'm in fasting mode. The money must build money..

My trading coach taught me that the mkt is a mirror that reflects back everything that is wrong with us and our life! Fixed my life and personal issues over a 3 year period and finally became a FIRE retiree that swing trades & downhill skis all winter. Trading now pays for my heliskiing addiction. Both of these activities provide massive amounts of dopamine via being in the moment and in the zone. Which is great for a hedonist like me.

Online trading..is only viable because it is fast..and offers leverage..you don't compete with anyone in forex but yourself..
I can completely relate to your journey. I started learning at 20 years old now I am 22, from a computer science background and finally, I am getting more into the "process" rather than the result. But the only difference is If I am not wrong you use to save money by cutting grass and I don't have that option so I am saving money through some freelancing. Hopefully, I will become a consistently profitable trader.

This is real. No such thing as “fast money” when it comes to trading , you gotta put in the work. I’ve heard a few different people say it takes a year to be profitable. You gotta be willing to put in 1-3 years of consistent work in my opinion to get to mansions and lambo status. People , (including me at first), think it’s quick and they’ll get the hang of it & get a Benz in 5 months... that’s not just the way it works 😆. That’s why we get frustrated , we realize it’s not as quick and easy as the gurus make it seem. Patience if your friend!
What got me wanting to learn trading is the freedom to trade anywhere in the world. Traditional business and real estate cannot do that.

Luxury items bring about emotion to the viewer, masked as "motivation" and practical steps bring about progress. One cant have emotion and progress at the same time, if you have emotion, you cant progress and if you are progressive you don't have time for emotion. So one needs to ask that question, I love your approach to trading, i want to learn trading and become really great at it, something tells me I've come to the right place.

Hahaha about ten weeks in (and a few hundred hours of research and studying) of real money trading and after quitting ten times (and naturally losing everything too) this video makes me feel better. 2-5 years is about right, took me 4. I feel sorry for the newbies that think it’s going to happen fast, it never does. Sure you can gamble and hit it big on a trade or two but to be in the game long term you really do have to treat it like a business. Nice video.

@@zeen7899 that’s a long conversation. But to sum it up, learn about the psychology of trading, that’s 95% of the game. And learn money management. If you don’t know these two aspects you will NEVER EVER EVER win at this game. And lastly large time frames. I trade the daily and 4hr timeframe, period. Anything less is noise. Just my opinion
Yea bro im 3 months in and learning price action and market structure with no indicators.. ppl became profitable in 6-12 months everybody different you can’t compare your journey to others thinking because it took YOU that long it will take everyone else the same bro…. Jus saying everybody has a different journey .. how determined are you? How much time do you have per day to study?Are you learning winning strategies? Are you learning from someone who IS profitable? Etc

Fellow software engineer here. I've been paper trading market replays for a while (after spending a bunch of money on courses) and realized that most of the strategies that were taught didn't work for me enough to become consistently profitable. My immediate reaction was that I must be an absolute idiot because these strategies work for other people, right? Well I came across "Trading in the Zone" by Mark Douglas, which I now listen to every morning on repeat. It's an amazing book about trading psychology. After a week or so of listening to it on repeat, picking up little things here and there, I realized that my problem was my intense need to be right all the time. After I stopped caring about being right my paper trading win percentage went up drastically and I'm starting live trading tomorrow as a result. All that to say great video!

Risk analysis should be always on Top. Next part is Hedging practices which can actually let you feel the market not just trade

No one has a passion for something that they have never done before, or have just barely started doing, Nick. The passion comes after doing it for a long time and doing well at it. People have GOT to stop telling people to do what they are passionate about. This makes people pursue the things they have done before and liked, which is usually stuff one does in k-12 education. Painting, singing, etc. People should do what they have an aptitude for. These things will work out well for them. And then the passion will follow.

Excellent advice, since I got to understand how trading works better. I follow Mrs Bonita Mollet's rules and this has worked amazing for me. Diversify, dollar or pounds cost averaging investing method, portfolio re-balance every quarter and I've found a mix of managed and index funds has worked out the best for me

Forex trading seems to be very difficult, I have studied and make good analysis on the market, I've also used trading bots and yet I still make loses, it's really frustrating but I'm going to keep my head up on it cos I see a lot of people winning from the forex market
Experience and a good amount of capital is required basically, to win and make profit and most cases guidance from a professional broker.

Lovely Nick, that’s so true I can support what you have just said now from experience of being a trader myself for close to 6 years now. Entry; money management & discipline (psychology) is a master key in the Forex Industry that at the long run cumulate into consistency and by consistency doesn’t mean you wouldn’t take loses as well (because profits & loses are surely part of trading, just that with your money management, it shall all be well fine-tuned 🙌) ... keep the good work up
