From yardie to yardie...Thanks for the video I'm going through it as well with my girlfriend...but we just have to stay focus and think about why we started trading in the first place...we'll get there trust me
I did the opposite I didn't tell or haven't told anyone except for my wife and I been Trading on my demo account and everyday I been making profit over 3-7K$ even if it's a demo account it's still crazy. Before I trade I make a plan on what I'm gonna do and how I'm gonna execute that plan, my risk management and when to close the position. I've been learning to trade FX for 3 months, I lost my job due to a back injury and everything since I been learning Trading , it's all a mental game I'm completely emotionless when I trade so one thing I tell you man you keep doing what you're doing because if you believe you can be successful it'll eventually become true, believe in God first and believe in yourself that you can do it. If you quit someone else will figure it out and make it. You got this bro
@NycAgent47 once you start putting real money at risk the emotions will come in, i wish started with a demo 8 years ago when i first started trading full time
That part where he said he would risk his entire account just to prove a point is so relatable. It feels like my mother is rushing me into working, but I keep telling her that if I don't ever master this trading thing, I would never see the other side of life that could be amazing. I am very strict with risk management, so it is gonna be slow. Trading is the only profession with a bright future, because it's scalable. I don't like people, I don't have friends, I never dated, and there's nothing else out there for me other than money. But I need to approach money in a smart way. I can't just work random jobs I hate. This is my life. I will not squander it doing what the 90% are doing. If money is gonna be my sole purpose in life, then I should at least do it properly and efficiently (not trading 8-12 hours per day of my time for money). I do have a side hustle online, so I do have a form of income, but the problem is I'm gonna have to work permanent "night shifts" in my bedroom just to catch all the decent work. The timezones are crap, and all the action happens while I'm sleeping.
great approach, I'm also giving myself 10 years to trading, 5years solely on trading and if not profitable yet I'll add a regular job to it for the next 5 years. After 10 years I'll quit if I'm not earning average yearly income from trading
Once you’ve been trading long enough then you can see setup’s coming miles away and time zone don’t matter as much. Just gotta get ya limit/stop order game right. With time it’ll come though! Stay at it!
That’s why my ultimate goal once i have enough earnings is to travel somewhere far. Where no one knows me, so i will have a fresh start. Since not everyone u know understands the path u are taking, so it’s better to build it alone than be with the people who always questions u
I’m working the night shift too- so I can trade NY session. I make a good salary but I rather make half my salary consistently trading than at work. I love this and will make it no matter what. Good luck
Never put all your eggs in one basket. I understand the drive and almost “need” to be successful in trading. It took me 15 months to get properly funded and profitable. Still have goals ofc.. but while doing that and still to this day trading is a form of additional income to me as I would need to make over six figures in trading to replace my day job. Someday it will fully replace my day job. As of right now I’m an amateur.. the goal is to be a professional but I don’t act and pretend I am one. As in professional I mean doing it for a living. I don't regret telling my family I trade/invest. Most of my extended family view as a degenerate gambler and I get berated because I don't have a financial degree, let alone a college degree at all (I'm a college dropout) along with not having work experience in the finance sector. Little do they know, I've been profitable since I started in 2018 and it's been quite the journey as a trader/investor. I don't talk about what I'm up to these days because I'm on an island alone, nor will anyone understand the reason why I trade/invest. Long story short, imagine working a 12 hour shift doing security work in Afghanistan for $160 a day as a veteran with no college degree (I sucked at academics), working dead end jobs back home while living in a job market that requires a college degree/being paid $20 an hour for manual labor, and having no support other than your siblings (lost both of my parents). Nick, you made me tear up when you mention the support you had from your dad help get you where you are. I wish I had that but even though my daughter is 31 yrs old I still encourage and support everything she wants and works for. This resonates more than you know. Thanks Nick
If you arent successful yet or still trying to find your way in. Theres nothing wrong in working a job and trading on the side till u get consistent. Its not a this or that, u can do both... If u feel u cant work cuz u gotta watch the markets, then u already got the wrong approach... u shouldn't be looking at a screen all day. For eg, i can get up at 2.30 am eastern, look at the setups when london opens at 3 am... i can make some bread by 6 am and head to work... if u dont catch anything. U still win cuz u didn’t lose money
as oscar wilde once said; "Anybody can sympathise with the sufferings of a friend, but it requires a very fine nature to sympathise with a friend's success." or as gore vidal said “Every time a friend succeeds, I die a little,”
I feel this all the way. They will bash you, down it, and assume you’re wasting your time. I just read a post that said “the 97% of people who quit, are employed by the 3% who never gave up”. KEEP GOING. I hope you’re VERY profitable right now!!🙏🙏
A man who has heard his hungry child crying for food he couldn't provide doesn't give a damn about what you learned today because it can't feed a family. Put your pitchforks down, Im also a trader, and my father wasn't that excited about it either. I tried to consider his perspective. He had a family at a young age and got a good job. Lost it when the economy tanked. Lost our home. Lost everything and had to start all over. With a hungry family in tow, he had to produce, and that's the bottom line. A hungry belly doesn't wait until you figure out how to make consistent income trading. It was easier to understand when I considered these things. He was just worried about me. He wanted to make sure i could take care of myself and not experience that same trauma. I'm very thankful to him for providing a life comfortable enough for me to be able to take those risks and learn these skills. Know your emotions are valid regardless of the situation, I just wanted to put this perspective out there.
I don't care what other people think of me or if they judge me. These are the kind of people that get satisfaction by seeing others fail and love company when they themselves fail. If they prefer a fixed income or if they're subordinate to others, I won't judge. These kinds of people also... dislike seeing others succeed. I've made a lot of people smile from my many failures but now I'm smiling and they're not. 😎
Its just facts people rather see you at their level or down on your ass, it makes them feel better i believe. This is why most successful people are hated for no reason. People just dont like it when you at the top like that wnba player who got first round #1 its all hate cause she got that top pick. Same with all the others first they hate ya then they love ya
I've learned some valuable lessons! 1. Nobody cares, if they do IT'S conditional....THEY HAVE TO SEE RESULTS. My Chinese boss once told me "Don't ever show too much". I'd encourage everyone, when you are making some money, do so quietly, find a quiet place l, be content with yourself, help who you wish. But stay low-key let people assume, BUT STAY ON YOUR PURPOSE
If I don't try to do two jobs for income, I think none of my family members will support my trading career. Stressed with jobs, stressed with losing more than wining, stressed with ideas maybe I will not win, I cannot earn money from this industry. Really really hard.
My wife all ready tell me to stop trading I pretend I did, even though I’m buying for long term. I feel like family are always thr to ripoff the benefits when you made it but will never support during the struggle
Actually what people do not understand is that all parents want the best for their kids, it is hard, but fruitful, take time, LEARN WHAT MATTERS and become someone, it takes time, but belive me, it is good
I think people don't care about those emotions in trading because they never have to directly confront those emotions. They are never forced to change for the better unless they're going through a tough time and make an actual mistake in their own life.
I made a mistake tell my mom and sister was the worse mistake to do, they ask you for money even though my goal is never use that money until I reach my goal for financial freedom
When it comes to trading, the people closer to you won't support you, even telling you to give up on this illusion or laugh in your face. If you had said any other business than trading, they would've show support and help you reach your goals. It's heartbreaking they won't even try to help you but bring you down just because its "trading".
Currently in this position, I failed second year engineering and im pursuing trading again for that freedom, I lost all passion for engineering and I want to pursue trading no matter what it takes, I regret telling my parents...my dad told me I would have better luck winning the lottery than succeeding in trading..I remind myself of that every time trading knocks me down
It's been a long time since you made a reaction video... really missed this! edit: I've watched his video actually... agree a lot, especially since I had a family when I started trading, which made the struggle even harder...
There's nothing wrong with working a job even a part time while also trading on the side. Depending where you live 1K a week is not enough to live comfortably. and as parents who already don't really understand they just see it as you wasting your time.
If you lived a privileged life with supportive parents or guardians, you can't relate. If your family and friends have never been successful at starting and running a business, they will not understand nor care. They have their own misery to deal with. Keep your mouth shut and keep learning. 99% of new traders fail. New traders. You stop failing once you find your method(s).
As someone who is in his 40s, I can sympathize with his parents. The young man lives with his parents. They want to make sure he can sustain himself because they won't be alive his entire life. He should get a job doing something he enjoys that is sustainable right now. He can continue learning the trading game while working. Once trading starts matching his income from the sustainable job, then quit and trade full-time.
trading has such a bad name, i have a breakeven week and i feel like my dignity and image got stepped on and that is break even, let alone losing, they would destroy me completely.
Yes, many people will celebrate your downfall. Vicarious is the word. Or if I borrow from Boston Legal, it's the SchadenFreude, or something like that. But the important thing is to not let it happen. And what I discovered for that to not happen is, do not tell anybody about what you do. They won't know where to attack if they know nothing about you or what you do.
Eh, if you spent a whole week without being profitable and you’ve been trading for 3 years, you’re doing a disservice to yourself. Profitable traders understand you’ve got to lock into every aspect when you’re committing any time to the market. Outside distractions is always going to be there and at the end of the day, those people giving you a hard time are more than likely who care about your well being. It’s better to have them in your life than to have nothing. The process is all that matters. The end goal comes when you’ve earned it.
dont feel regret since you even are profitable....... i would laugh at their lack of discpline and being limited and mediocre.....they had years lot of years to be in your place to be succesful but they stayed in their comfort zone .... you should feel pitty for them because they live in a cage....i cant wait to make big money to reverse what they say to me...i remember each one what say to me and its time for the big slap roast of shame level 9 mil dark sarcasm
Real people who don't trade don't care about anything I open a charts in class and my friend see me trading I've know n trading for 1.2 years but really study it for 7 months but I'm real close to being profitable I know my mentor trade set up it work well for me but I still in demo he came up and said I wanna learn and I act like I know nothing so he said you learn for year and you know nothing so these few months you were pretending and he said I will learn for 3 month and go trade with 30$ I said you will blow that account and he start making fun of me not being profitable after a years because he thinks im saying something bad to him he is very egotistical I wanna see him blow his account so he get his lesson learnt🙂↕️

I can relate breakeven for the past month. When brother in law asked me I said breakeven for the week and I can tell by his facial expression ugh 😂
I think people don't care about those emotions in trading because they never have to directly confront those emotions. They are never forced to change for the better unless they're going through a tough time and make an actual mistake in their own life.
I get where he's coming from. Realistically though, if you're not consistently profitable to the point that you can pay the bills, then it's a hobby.
I made a mistake tell my mom and sister was the worse mistake to do, they ask you for money even though my goal is never use that money until I reach my goal for financial freedom
Love your videos ❤ please don’t stop posting
Never chase the market and also the best advice is stop looking at charts for weeks or months to refresh your mind
My dad has actually forbidden me from trading.
Traders will lose money for a whole week and then say “BUt i LEarnEd SOmEtHing boUt mySelF” 😂 get real brehhh
Me watching Nick on 1.5x watching this guy in 1.5x😂
😂
@@olawaleolaitanezekiel9411 same!

Me 2xing it 🎉
Nick, your trading view sign needs repairing 😂 what heppened to the 'g' 😂
We are in Atlanta after all. Tradin' view 🤠
Thank you for speaking in behalf of all of us traders! I really hope many dads watch this lol Keep it up Nick!
There's nothing wrong with working a job even a part time while also trading on the side. Depending where you live 1K a week is not enough to live comfortably. and as parents who already don't really understand they just see it as you wasting your time.
I just say I’m an investment banker for a private equity firm
I hope he stays positive...
The song WHO I AM by Alan Walker...represent this situation.
Yeah I can relate to this. Now I just tell people that I work in financial analysis in the commodities market
Beautiful video. Very relatable
As someone who is in his 40s, I can sympathize with his parents. The young man lives with his parents. They want to make sure he can sustain himself because they won't be alive his entire life.
He should get a job doing something he enjoys that is sustainable right now. He can continue learning the trading game while working. Once trading starts matching his income from the sustainable job, then quit and trade full-time.
agreed
Spoken like someone who works a 9-5 which there’s nothing wrong with
Bro my father did the same thing to me damnn word by word🤦♂️
Thankyou so much
I found myself in his boot
trading has such a bad name, i have a breakeven week and i feel like my dignity and image got stepped on and that is break even, let alone losing, they would destroy me completely.
Yes, I can relate my blood sister said I can't make it so Baaaaaaaad.
Only person that could understand a trader is another trader. So shut up, work in silence and show em the results❤
I feel for this guy but that’s the way it is.
Nice video!
😂😂😂 very informative thank you
Eh, if you spent a whole week without being profitable and you’ve been trading for 3 years, you’re doing a disservice to yourself.
Good to know other engineers swap to trading as well.
I can relate to everything he said
Omg exactly my situation
Luckly for me I come from a family of traders, investors and entrepreneurs!!!! Still not easy though!! Love the content NIck
Same regret
I’m telling my family that I trade too and they are always support me
Crazy I seen this vid before and I relate
Same shit happening to me
Bro literally nobody cares about any of your jobs. I literally don’t care either. There’s a million of us breaking even, when lambo son?
dont feel regret since you even are profitable....... i would laugh at their lack of discpline and being limited and mediocre.....they had years lot of years to be in your place to be succesful but they stayed in their comfort zone .... you should feel pitty for them because they live in a cage....i cant wait to make big money to reverse what they say to me...i remember each one what say to me and its time for the big slap roast of shame level 9 mil dark sarcasm
$1000 a week. Hot damn thats a dream for me
I TELL THEM I BUY AND SELL CANDEL.AND SMALL IS GOOD BUT SOMETIME SMELL MAKE CRY
He just ask how many did I make but little does bro know you can't make anything untill you became profitable and that's the time you scale up and make a lot
I wish I could like this Video 1000x

True
No one cares about your struggle, They only care when you made it to the top.
Family not the problem…. You the problem ☝️
