325a is such a killer well rounded ship, I hope they fix the bugs with it one of these years. The unobstructed cockpit view and dashboard is the best in the game as far as I’m concerned.. bought the mustang pack, upgraded to titan, then 325a, the cutlass black, then paid more to get the 325a back because I love it so much.
Is anyone annoyed from the BIG light refection in the central top of the cocpit? for me it totaly ruins the exeptional view... even in this video it points so out to me 00:02:50
I actually went for the 315p. It has a larger fuel tank, 12 cargospace, improved radar and a tractor beam. (Although those last to are not implemented yet). I gave it a all stealth loadout except for the QD. Idea is to use it to scout, scavenge and smuggle with it.
Now a days i own an Origin 135c along with a 600i. I had a 300i that I really loved but was just plagued with bugs🤣 The undership cargo lift just would never work right. Every time I stalked the fridge with water, and grabbed one to rehydrate, it would glitch out the rest of the ship. I was even ship jacked in it one time by a player that snuck into my hangar😂 I just had the worst luck in that thing. Had my wings shot off several times by player attacks, just had to part with it Farrister😆

Great Review Farrister. I love the styling of the 300 series ships. Origin makes some beautiful ships. I don't have a 325A, but I do have a 315P. The biggest difference is the front gun has been replaced by a tractor beam, and it has more cargo space and larger fuel tanks. One thing about the 300 series you forgot about was when you purchase it, you have the ability to have it customized. You can select the exterior paint and the interior colors and seat makeup. I don't know it that is available if you buy it in game or not, but if you get it with real money or credits, that option is there. Fly safe and I'll see you in the verse.
With the upcoming wipe, I've been looking into pledging for this ship to be my main starter. So far it is looking promising with it able to handle VHRTs pretty well. In my case, I am using laser repeaters instead of cannons for the faster projectile speeds (easier for fighters) and size 1 missiles for more ammo (I only really use them to crack open Hurricane shields). My main gripes are the uncommanded pitch-up on vertical take-off (a hassle inside a hangar) and the reflection of the interior light on the cockpit canopy.
Thanks for the review. Great as always. I have a 315 and have been waiting for this review before upgrading it. Off what you’ve said it looks the 315 is getting melted. I appreciate that the two ships are different beast, but a fighter you can log out in is really handy. I just wish hope i can get an upgrade in white. The 300 looks brilliant.
I have one and will never get rid of it. It’s a great little ship for tooling around and joy flying. I added upgrades and do dads right from the pledge store! Hopefully they make the kitchenette fully functional so you can hydrate on the go! I lost my coffee mug in an update 😭
We all did. Have you noticed the interior colour is wrong now too? Should have black plastic walls, not the white ones from the 300/315. Issue council bug STARC-11579
@@TiJayFLY I’m sad I’m not the only one. I melted my original and got an ILW one with 10 years of insurance, and all I’ve lost now is the coffee mug and I have an extra glitched stock 325A in my fleet, so now I have two for the price of one lol.
Great video! I love my 325a. It is definitely in my combat rotation, but it is also my go to when making long treks. The only change I made in weapon loadout was to put a Deadbolt IV in the nose. That way, I get more capacitor shots on the wing cannons, and can use the ballistic cannon when the target shields are down.
Weird thing I noticed but this mic makes you sound a lot younger than your older vids. Also been loving your content! Each video is always so peaceful and an amazing view into the gameplay feel of each ship
I really like what they did to the 300 line in the redesign, but I also really liked the exterior model of the old. I would love to eventually scour the verse for the parts to build the classic 350R. Like restoring a classic car.

Something to add to this already magnificent review is that if you pledge in this patch, you get the option for customizing the ship. You get to choose better looking beds, vanity items such as picture frames that would make the ship look like it's an actually livable ship, more items for the kitchen, better livery for the cockpit and seat, and also better weapons and quantum drives packages. Mine is customized to the bone. Just stick to the cosmetic items and all you add is few more bucks to the price of the ship and the interior will look spectacularly better. Oh, and you also get to choose the exterior color of the ship now as well. Mine is all red, instead of the color of his.
I actually searched you channel specifically for a 325a review a mere four days ago, and failing that a 350r review. I wanted to know which to pick and your reviews never fail to decisively show me the correct choice.
Oh! They're similar in terms of performance, with the 350R much faster and the 325A slightly heavier armed. It depends I guess on whether you intend to use more for dogfight combat, or more for cruising/travelling?
I bought the 325A for the first time in 2013 and had a lot of fun with it. My original package has since turned into another ship, but from time to time I come back to my first ship for the nostalgic feeling. It's still a damn cool looking thing but not my first choice for combat missions.
Like some others the original 325a was my first love. Took it out last night to do a Hammerhead and it's 2 hurricane escort ERT bounty. Kept stock components on it but changed weapons to 2x FL33 laser cannons on wings with size 4 Omnisky laser Cannon on the nose. It handled well but after completing the bounty noted its Hydrogen was under 25% remaining so it is a bit of a hydrogen hog but otherwise an enjoyable solid pve ship.
I bought the 325a twice (1st one got turned it into a cutty black cuz there was an annoying bug back in the day causing you to clip through the floor and get stranded in space, 2nd one turned into a C2 because Crusader FTW), now here I am watching 325a videos ready to buy it a 3rd time. Inventory is coming into play in 3.15 making this ship more versatile over other fighters without storage. And once food and the coveted poop mechanics come into the game, the 325a, IMO, is going to become even more attractive as a fighter. Especially for those travelling far from home.
I didn't get a 325a until long after I'd acquired many other ships. In fact, I purchased mine when CIG introduced ship customization with the 300 series Origins. What I have now is a comfortably equipped 325a in now-gone Sage Green.
Not sure if anyone else spoke on this, but your issue with landing isn't a bug. CIG turned Proximity Assist to On by Default. What this means is that when your ship is in close proximity with something else, like the ground or a pad, your maximum thrust is automatically reduced. If you are one of those maniacs who waits to slow down by the time you're already very close to the ground or the pad, then this setting will prevent you from slowing down fast enough. However you probably shouldn't be flying that way in the first place... Also you can just turn the feature off.
As always, I love your content so much. I personally upgraded my Aegis Avenger from the beginning of the game to this one because I wanted an Origin and I do not want a ship that I can't walk inside like smaller ships. And, to my surprise, this one is more powerful than he seems to be. I love it so much, I use it with a long travel quantum and it's perfectly polyvalent. I even do VHRT with it. The only big wall I took was the "Master Tracker License" haha, definitely can't do it with this ship. I recommend if you want a good fighter but you want to fight with style and comfort as well !
Out five times with avenger titan only got the hh once. (First two noob to meta changes , Astroid in the dark it take a lot of strafing.... 4th success and 5th doing great killed escorts circled back broke shields ran out of hydrogen fuel...) I mention because I know it could and it’s a solid test just did it was hurricane no gunner at least 33% easier than using titan even without gunner :) curious how 325a does but don’t own
The 300 series is my favorite Origin offering. I really like the customization options you can add during purchase. They should do that with all ships!
My first SC ship. back in 2013. I occasionally take it out for a spin, and its always good fun, its really fast in a strait line, and it packs a good punch! I would recommend swapping out the quantum drive for an Atlas, that way you can make round trips in the verse without refueling every 2 jumps.
I just melted the 325a once the bug started. I couldn't get it to go away no matter what I did. Had to swap it in for a 300i. I respectfully believe that Farrister kind of downplays how incredibly difficult this thruster bug makes small tasks. I can't even float in atmo. You absolutely have to keep flying no matter what when there is a gravitational force. Landing on Orison was nearly impossible. I had to pitch up and give it little bumps of thrust just to keep myself floating and then inch toward the open bay door. It was very painful. Don't be surprised if you end up having to melt this ship after the bug hits you. The 300i does not share this issue so far. I miss the AD4B on the nose of the 325a. Love the 300i but miss that size four nose hardpoint! Thanks for your lovely videos, Farrister!
I really love the 325 its my favorite ship, awesome design and comes with bed, toilet, shower and cooking and a fridge. For combat its really decent and very agile
At the start of its career, all the 325A really seemed to have going for it was its looks and, at the time, a targeting system that would allow you to lock onto multiple targets at once, although there wasn't really any advantage to doing so. For a few patches after the weapon hardpoints were upgraded, the 325A had afterburn speed of 1325 m/s instead of 1235, making it an absolute monster. These days, the 325A is kind of in a "love it or hate it" category for most - I love mine and it's one of very few combat-primary ships I have, but I know a lot of folks who won't even look at one because it's not Aegis, Anvil, or Drake. That's fine with me, part of the draw of mine now is that, while well regarded, it isn't ubiquitous. Mine, with a promotional flat-finish 'sagebrush' paint similar to that of the standard Gladius, is all the more unique.
Mine has been collecting dust in the hanger since I bought my 600i. It looks like a capable little scrapper, but when you can use a Glaive, it’s really no comparison imo. Maybe one day she’ll see the stars
I have a custom one of these. Thanks for doing a review on one of my favorites. Currently I equip mine with a Voyage QT and for weapons I slap on a big laser cannon but the side ones I replace with a pair of Tarantulas. They have 200 ammo and do quite a bit of damage. Meanwhile the size 4 laser cannon does well on its own for stripping shields. Stock size 3 missiles are fine but I replace the wing ones with eight sparks. I like the 325a but it does have a couple of glaring weaknesses. It’s wings are fragile and they house both a size three weapon as well as one missile rack and the reverse thruster on each. This, combined with its somewhat sluggish maneuvering thrusters (this ship drifts in all directions and only has an impressive forward thrust as well as nice pitch, yaw and roll) and generally larger size than most ships in its class make it very vulnerable to enemy turret fire. It’s a fun ship and can punch above its weight in the right hands but aside from looks, the Avenger series has most of its benefits with none of its drawbacks. The cargo space on the very comparable avenger Titan is big enough to fit a buggy too. I’ve yet to use the cargo space on my 325a. Only things the 325a has the Titan doesn’t are a toilet and those size 3 missiles.

I recently bought one of these ships. I customized the paint-job and interior. This is a truly gorgeous ship that is very fun to fly. My only compliant is how quickly it burns H fuel.
Despite buying this ship AGES ago, I've just started flying it around a couple days ago. It's a great little ship. Good in combat. Speedy to get around in. Has some space for boxes. Seems like an excellent daily driver so far! I use the Revenant VERY sparingly, so I'll have to pick up an M6A when I have some credits under me (unless there's a new recommendation for it now?)
Absolutely, although I read AGES ago and assumed you meant AEGIS ago xD M6A still does fine, it couples well with the M5A. Many might choose instead to put a Rhino repeater on with Panthers or similar - laser repeater seems to be in favour right now!
The 325a was my first "real" ship (after my mustang starter) and is still my favourite. I feel in 3.19 though its not as powerful as it was but that could be it just needs upgrades to my liking like previous plays before resets. I mostly fly the drake cutter these days since its a better well rounded ship for cargo and long travel, but the 325a truly is the mercedes of ships. Sleek like and agile like a shark with curves to make a model jealous but still enough fire power to take on stupid big ships (like the caterpillar i once bagged) I'll never trade her in.
Ooh I do like this ship a lot as well, in fact this is the first combat-oriented ship I bought in-game and the ship that got me into bounty hunting. I don't use it a lot nowadays but it still has a special place in my list of ships. I also feel it benefitted greatly from 3.14, before it couldn't fire two shots of M6A without going into power low so I had to use C-556 which honestly doesn't go well with 325a aesthetically. Now it can bzztbzzt the M6A a lot more. It's quite a pleasure to fly this. I'm definitely hoping for more of these sleek fighter kind of ships, there aren't exactly a lot. The upcoming Ares is somewhat sleek and is a special kind of a fighter, but doesn't quite strike as fancy like the 325a. The only thing I'd like to have with 325a is to be able to attach those 350r inlets and double exhausts on the 325a, just for the extra tough visuals. Really hoping for those kind of customization and swapping to be a thing.
The 325 interior is actually bugged in 3.14. The interior plastic is supposed to be black - as seen on the configurator and in previous patches - not white, regardless of customisation. Only the 300 and 315 are meant to have the white plastic. Please contribute to the Issue council bug STARC-11579 if you can!
This bug first appeared in 3.12, but was fixed in 3.13. So this is the second time this bug has visited the 325a. I was so annoyed that I melted mine. Black interior or Bust ! #GiveUsBackOurCoffeeMUGWePaidForIt
I have the 315p on pledge, partly because of the whole interior customization thing. But I’m also gambling that we’ll be getting T0 Exploration gameplay with Pyro.
I'd love to see what you would choose between this and the Avenger Titan. Stats wise, other than the extra Missile on the 325a, the two ships are identical.
As is, it is just tough to recommend this when the Titan exists. Same weapons, more utility and cargo and cheaper IRL and in-game. This thing supposedly has a bespoke missile targeting system. While IDK if that will ever be realized, what would set this apart from the titan would be if they justified the loss of cargo from the other variants by giving it an internal missile magazine, to just let this thing have a bunch of missiles for its size, like the Reliant Tana.
The biggest thing that I looked at when I got my 325 and 315 is that I like housing in games and these unlike many of the fighters have a bed and a bathroom. From a fantasy/sci-fi point of view bouncing around in space it would be great to stretch the legs and be able to use a bathroom. The only thing I miss in these is why no shower option?

This is my original pledge. Never had a chance to fly it until this week. I love it! I'm prettttty sure the brake \ reverse thrust is still sometimes bugged xD and the ladder...oh..the ladder. Why..oh why must you deploy and then retract..over..and over. Other than that..
The 325 was also my first ship! And while I love it, I feel it was nerfed too much in 3.14 either ammo wise or shield wise. I'm sadly back to the Cutlass black for bounty missions only due to that. Anyway, great video as usual ;)
@@Farrister It's really good now, much better than in 3.13 conversely to the 325! I set it up with full fixed laser repeaters and they each got 45ish rounds with decent shield which is great for shredding enemies in those VHR bounties!

I use Cutty and ROC to mine. been thinking of melting 325 or trying new loadouts because easy combat missions kill me fast and bounties seem to be bullet sponges with the stock loadout. Never considered using my Cutty for bounties. What is your loadout on the combat cutty?
This is possibly my absolute favorite ship in the game. If you get the extra stuff like the coffee machine and the food processor it will further your capabilities of survival as well. so you could very well go out with the 325a take out a target collect 4scu worth of gear from the ship destroyed ( when the feature comes), and move onto the next target and maximize your UEC collection with this ship. Just need to keep moving until your food and coffee runs out then sell your collected equipment, repair, rearm, and out doing it again. This is definitely a solid solo ship and you can carry and equip spare equipment from the inside of the ship verses the gladius that has all external storage. It is a nice touch that the cargo is stored internal on this ship so you don't need to worry about losing it while in flight. Overall I think you cannot go wrong with this ship at all. plus I personally think ships should be bought what you like rather than what is best according to the meta. Out of all the fighters I will choose the 325a first every time. Cannot go wrong with the titan either when it comes to combat and full capabilities.

I will be getting this and the starter mustang package (gonna melt/ccu that stang asap). Really excited for having the 325a and using it for ‘camping’ of sorts. Love having an interior and comforts of home! Now here’s my question… is it worth buying any package weapons when getting this? My assumption is some updates makes you lose upgrades but if you purchase lets say the laser package, those would be permanently kept with the ship… am I right and is it even worth getting? I’m pretty sure I want to go all energy based so I don’t need to buy ammo. Great video!

A decent bounty hunting ship, well-armed for its size, good missile loadout, amenities (Bed, Kitchen, bathroom, only lacking a shower), and a weapons rack with a closet to store armor and weapons. Overall good for the bounty hunter who doesn't take his/her targets alive
I've had all the Polaris/Perseus/Orion and BMM's .. all melted, yet this little beggar is a joy in every sense, aesthetically gorgeous, with weapons/performance well within acceptable limits and possible the most luxurious outfitted ship in the verse. Ships are designed with a certain place in the ship hierarchy and for good reason, backers should adopt a common sense approach on purchase, its a game, you've an opportunity to indulge yourself, forget stats they're insignificant as the game stands, so if in doubt......melt.
I really like the 325a; would recommend as an official 'starter' pack; practical and performs very well in many situations. On paper it should be better than the Gladius; but for some reason I can't get it's guns to take out the NPC enemies as quickly as I do the less armed Gladius... thus I feel the Gladius gets some sort of unstated weapons buff in accuracy when it comes to combat... I've flown the Defender, 325a, Buccaneer, 350r, and Sabre quite a bit (with the same guns or more than a Gladius) - but for some reason the Gladius gets the easiest kills - and it doesn't make sense to me when you look at the stats on paper.
Still have my 325a. Think its one of the most overlooked ships. Nice to look at, fast and easy to fly, and it can kick some a**. Also, it got a toilet :) how can a ship have a bed but no toilet?!?
The 325 is a nice ship. But it has two things i really don't like. If you loose a wing (what can easily happens in a fight because they are made out of cardboard ) you also loose a weapon. And the other thing that you can enter it only with the ladder. Wish the 300 had the same entrance like the 100.
I first got interested in SC 10 years ago, and ended up going for the 325A.. Been seeing a lot of streamers play it recently, and I am getting tempted into reinstalling it.. But also im being told I should melt it down for a Cutty Black or Crusader Spirit C1.. Thoughts? Lol
@@vonrosphe3098 I find that about time I run out of Balistic cannon ammo, I need fuel or repairs anyway. It last longer than the gattling gun ammo. Besides, lots of players try to jump you these days. I like to be prepared.
It's a prettier Avenger that exchanges some cargo capacity for more missiles and a 20% increase in price. Not a fan of paying extra for virtual luxury and I prefer the more practical looks of Anvil and Aegis anyway.
@@Farrister follow up report. I needed a little bunker runner. Something fast that can hold a few corpses and defend itself in a pinch and has a bed. So I bought the 325a. Here's a report on the state of the bugs. The ladder works flawlessly so far. The chair seems OK but u have to be close to activate it. The gun rack IS bugged. Once placed the weapon can not be retrieved. So far I haven't been able to get the monitor near the bed working but maybe I just haven't found the button. All in all the ship performs well for its intended role.

The only reason why i got rid of my baby, the 325, is because i had the ability to invest in a Sabre Which is amazing but cant do much compared to the 325 lol
@@Farrister power is ok but with the Titan they are the same besides additional rockets on the 325a. Main difference used to be performance, but now they are, as I say, weirdly equalized and 325a no longer has that edge (at least according to erkul) of being faster and more maneuverable, which an interceptor should still have. So I went back to the Titan, because personally I like that ship design and its utility more. Something else will have to become my luxurious bounty hunting/cruising in style craft. But of course none of that is set in stone just yet.
You can really see the contrast between the lack of polish on early ships compared to more recent ships. The pilot seat in this thing looks pretty bad, the interior in general just looks bland and unrefined. It just goes to show how much the ship designers have improved over the years... and why we have gold standard passes.

The refelection really drives me nuts... even considering melting it because of that... dont really have trust in RSI fixing that..

Great video! I love my 325a. It is definitely in my combat rotation, but it is also my go to when making long treks. The only change I made in weapon loadout was to put a Deadbolt IV in the nose. That way, I get more capacitor shots on the wing cannons, and can use the ballistic cannon when the target shields are down.

I really like what they did to the 300 line in the redesign, but I also really liked the exterior model of the old. I would love to eventually scour the verse for the parts to build the classic 350R. Like restoring a classic car.

This is my favorite ship to just daily drive. It’s the best all arounder and I like having a fighter with living quarters.

Something to add to this already magnificent review is that if you pledge in this patch, you get the option for customizing the ship. You get to choose better looking beds, vanity items such as picture frames that would make the ship look like it's an actually livable ship, more items for the kitchen, better livery for the cockpit and seat, and also better weapons and quantum drives packages. Mine is customized to the bone. Just stick to the cosmetic items and all you add is few more bucks to the price of the ship and the interior will look spectacularly better. Oh, and you also get to choose the exterior color of the ship now as well. Mine is all red, instead of the color of his.

I actually searched you channel specifically for a 325a review a mere four days ago, and failing that a 350r review. I wanted to know which to pick and your reviews never fail to decisively show me the correct choice.
Oh! They're similar in terms of performance, with the 350R much faster and the 325A slightly heavier armed. It depends I guess on whether you intend to use more for dogfight combat, or more for cruising/travelling?

I bought the 325A for the first time in 2013 and had a lot of fun with it.
My original package has since turned into another ship, but from time to time I come back to my first ship for the nostalgic feeling.
It's still a damn cool looking thing but not my first choice for combat missions.

Like some others the original 325a was my first love. Took it out last night to do a Hammerhead and it's 2 hurricane escort ERT bounty. Kept stock components on it but changed weapons to 2x FL33 laser cannons on wings with size 4 Omnisky laser Cannon on the nose. It handled well but after completing the bounty noted its Hydrogen was under 25% remaining so it is a bit of a hydrogen hog but otherwise an enjoyable solid pve ship.
Oh wow, I haven't encountered the hydrogen hog issue!
i love canons iswell as you and i love placing (timing my shots) firing laser repeaters endlessly whilst knowing half of them missing the target
I bought the 325a twice (1st one got turned it into a cutty black cuz there was an annoying bug back in the day causing you to clip through the floor and get stranded in space, 2nd one turned into a C2 because Crusader FTW), now here I am watching 325a videos ready to buy it a 3rd time.
Inventory is coming into play in 3.15 making this ship more versatile over other fighters without storage. And once food and the coveted poop mechanics come into the game, the 325a, IMO, is going to become even more attractive as a fighter. Especially for those travelling far from home.

I didn't get a 325a until long after I'd acquired many other ships. In fact, I purchased mine when CIG introduced ship customization with the 300 series Origins. What I have now is a comfortably equipped 325a in now-gone Sage Green.

Not sure if anyone else spoke on this, but your issue with landing isn't a bug. CIG turned Proximity Assist to On by Default. What this means is that when your ship is in close proximity with something else, like the ground or a pad, your maximum thrust is automatically reduced. If you are one of those maniacs who waits to slow down by the time you're already very close to the ground or the pad, then this setting will prevent you from slowing down fast enough. However you probably shouldn't be flying that way in the first place... Also you can just turn the feature off.

I personally upgraded my Aegis Avenger from the beginning of the game to this one because I wanted an Origin and I do not want a ship that I can't walk inside like smaller ships.
And, to my surprise, this one is more powerful than he seems to be. I love it so much, I use it with a long travel quantum and it's perfectly polyvalent.
I even do VHRT with it. The only big wall I took was the "Master Tracker License" haha, definitely can't do it with this ship.
I recommend if you want a good fighter but you want to fight with style and comfort as well !

Out five times with avenger titan only got the hh once. (First two noob to meta changes , Astroid in the dark it take a lot of strafing.... 4th success and 5th doing great killed escorts circled back broke shields ran out of hydrogen fuel...) I mention because I know it could and it’s a solid test just did it was hurricane no gunner at least 33% easier than using titan even without gunner :) curious how 325a does but don’t own
The 300 series is my favorite Origin offering. I really like the customization options you can add during purchase. They should do that with all ships!

My first SC ship. back in 2013. I occasionally take it out for a spin, and its always good fun, its really fast in a strait line, and it packs a good punch!
I would recommend swapping out the quantum drive for an Atlas, that way you can make round trips in the verse without refueling every 2 jumps.

I just melted the 325a once the bug started. I couldn't get it to go away no matter what I did. Had to swap it in for a 300i. I respectfully believe that Farrister kind of downplays how incredibly difficult this thruster bug makes small tasks. I can't even float in atmo. You absolutely have to keep flying no matter what when there is a gravitational force. Landing on Orison was nearly impossible. I had to pitch up and give it little bumps of thrust just to keep myself floating and then inch toward the open bay door. It was very painful. Don't be surprised if you end up having to melt this ship after the bug hits you. The 300i does not share this issue so far. I miss the AD4B on the nose of the 325a. Love the 300i but miss that size four nose hardpoint! Thanks for your lovely videos, Farrister!

At the start of its career, all the 325A really seemed to have going for it was its looks and, at the time, a targeting system that would allow you to lock onto multiple targets at once, although there wasn't really any advantage to doing so. For a few patches after the weapon hardpoints were upgraded, the 325A had afterburn speed of 1325 m/s instead of 1235, making it an absolute monster. These days, the 325A is kind of in a "love it or hate it" category for most - I love mine and it's one of very few combat-primary ships I have, but I know a lot of folks who won't even look at one because it's not Aegis, Anvil, or Drake. That's fine with me, part of the draw of mine now is that, while well regarded, it isn't ubiquitous. Mine, with a promotional flat-finish 'sagebrush' paint similar to that of the standard Gladius, is all the more unique.
Definitely agree, the variety that individual preferences offer is a neat part of the 'Verse :)

Ah I find the Glaive much tougher this patch - used to fly it all the time, but the big cannons feel like they have less ammo?
I have a custom one of these. Thanks for doing a review on one of my favorites. Currently I equip mine with a Voyage QT and for weapons I slap on a big laser cannon but the side ones I replace with a pair of Tarantulas. They have 200 ammo and do quite a bit of damage. Meanwhile the size 4 laser cannon does well on its own for stripping shields. Stock size 3 missiles are fine but I replace the wing ones with eight sparks. I like the 325a but it does have a couple of glaring weaknesses. It’s wings are fragile and they house both a size three weapon as well as one missile rack and the reverse thruster on each. This, combined with its somewhat sluggish maneuvering thrusters (this ship drifts in all directions and only has an impressive forward thrust as well as nice pitch, yaw and roll) and generally larger size than most ships in its class make it very vulnerable to enemy turret fire. It’s a fun ship and can punch above its weight in the right hands but aside from looks, the Avenger series has most of its benefits with none of its drawbacks. The cargo space on the very comparable avenger Titan is big enough to fit a buggy too. I’ve yet to use the cargo space on my 325a. Only things the 325a has the Titan doesn’t are a toilet and those size 3 missiles.

Despite buying this ship AGES ago, I've just started flying it around a couple days ago. It's a great little ship. Good in combat. Speedy to get around in. Has some space for boxes. Seems like an excellent daily driver so far!
I use the Revenant VERY sparingly, so I'll have to pick up an M6A when I have some credits under me (unless there's a new recommendation for it now?)
Absolutely, although I read AGES ago and assumed you meant AEGIS ago xD M6A still does fine, it couples well with the M5A. Many might choose instead to put a Rhino repeater on with Panthers or similar - laser repeater seems to be in favour right now!

The 325a was my first "real" ship (after my mustang starter) and is still my favourite. I feel in 3.19 though its not as powerful as it was but that could be it just needs upgrades to my liking like previous plays before resets.
I mostly fly the drake cutter these days since its a better well rounded ship for cargo and long travel, but the 325a truly is the mercedes of ships.
Sleek like and agile like a shark with curves to make a model jealous but still enough fire power to take on stupid big ships (like the caterpillar i once bagged)
I'll never trade her in.
Ooh I do like this ship a lot as well, in fact this is the first combat-oriented ship I bought in-game and the ship that got me into bounty hunting. I don't use it a lot nowadays but it still has a special place in my list of ships.
I also feel it benefitted greatly from 3.14, before it couldn't fire two shots of M6A without going into power low so I had to use C-556 which honestly doesn't go well with 325a aesthetically. Now it can bzztbzzt the M6A a lot more. It's quite a pleasure to fly this.
I'm definitely hoping for more of these sleek fighter kind of ships, there aren't exactly a lot. The upcoming Ares is somewhat sleek and is a special kind of a fighter, but doesn't quite strike as fancy like the 325a.
The only thing I'd like to have with 325a is to be able to attach those 350r inlets and double exhausts on the 325a, just for the extra tough visuals. Really hoping for those kind of customization and swapping to be a thing.

The 325 interior is actually bugged in 3.14.
The interior plastic is supposed to be black - as seen on the configurator and in previous patches - not white, regardless of customisation.
Only the 300 and 315 are meant to have the white plastic.
Please contribute to the Issue council bug STARC-11579 if you can!
This bug first appeared in 3.12, but was fixed in 3.13. So this is the second time this bug has visited the 325a.

I'd love to see what you would choose between this and the Avenger Titan. Stats wise, other than the extra Missile on the 325a, the two ships are identical.
I think I would choose the 325A, but that's purely for the aesthetics and my own style. I think the Avenger Titan has more utility
As is, it is just tough to recommend this when the Titan exists. Same weapons, more utility and cargo and cheaper IRL and in-game.
This thing supposedly has a bespoke missile targeting system. While IDK if that will ever be realized, what would set this apart from the titan would be if they justified the loss of cargo from the other variants by giving it an internal missile magazine, to just let this thing have a bunch of missiles for its size, like the Reliant Tana.
But so pretty :(
The biggest thing that I looked at when I got my 325 and 315 is that I like housing in games and these unlike many of the fighters have a bed and a bathroom. From a fantasy/sci-fi point of view bouncing around in space it would be great to stretch the legs and be able to use a bathroom. The only thing I miss in these is why no shower option?

I find mixed results - I'm an old fashioned guy, so avoid bed logouts, and avoid walking around during quantum, even though they're mostly fine now xD

The 325 was also my first ship! And while I love it, I feel it was nerfed too much in 3.14 either ammo wise or shield wise. I'm sadly back to the Cutlass black for bounty missions only due to that.

@@Farrister It's really good now, much better than in 3.13 conversely to the 325! I set it up with full fixed laser repeaters and they each got 45ish rounds with decent shield which is great for shredding enemies in those VHR bounties!

I use Cutty and ROC to mine. been thinking of melting 325 or trying new loadouts because easy combat missions kill me fast and bounties seem to be bullet sponges with the stock loadout. Never considered using my Cutty for bounties. What is your loadout on the combat cutty?

Ah it's worth it when you get one!
This is possibly my absolute favorite ship in the game. If you get the extra stuff like the coffee machine and the food processor it will further your capabilities of survival as well. so you could very well go out with the 325a take out a target collect 4scu worth of gear from the ship destroyed ( when the feature comes), and move onto the next target and maximize your UEC collection with this ship. Just need to keep moving until your food and coffee runs out then sell your collected equipment, repair, rearm, and out doing it again. This is definitely a solid solo ship and you can carry and equip spare equipment from the inside of the ship verses the gladius that has all external storage. It is a nice touch that the cargo is stored internal on this ship so you don't need to worry about losing it while in flight. Overall I think you cannot go wrong with this ship at all. plus I personally think ships should be bought what you like rather than what is best according to the meta. Out of all the fighters I will choose the 325a first every time. Cannot go wrong with the titan either when it comes to combat and full capabilities.

Really excited for having the 325a and using it for ‘camping’ of sorts. Love having an interior and comforts of home! Now here’s my question… is it worth buying any package weapons when getting this? My assumption is some updates makes you lose upgrades but if you purchase lets say the laser package, those would be permanently kept with the ship… am I right and is it even worth getting? I’m pretty sure I want to go all energy based so I don’t need to buy ammo.

A decent bounty hunting ship, well-armed for its size, good missile loadout, amenities (Bed, Kitchen, bathroom, only lacking a shower), and a weapons rack with a closet to store armor and weapons. Overall good for the bounty hunter who doesn't take his/her targets alive

I've had all the Polaris/Perseus/Orion and BMM's .. all melted, yet this little beggar is a joy in every sense, aesthetically gorgeous, with weapons/performance well within acceptable limits and possible the most luxurious outfitted ship in the verse. Ships are designed with a certain place in the ship hierarchy and for good reason, backers should adopt a common sense approach on purchase, its a game, you've an opportunity to indulge yourself, forget stats they're insignificant as the game stands, so if in doubt......melt.
I really like the 325a; would recommend as an official 'starter' pack; practical and performs very well in many situations. On paper it should be better than the Gladius; but for some reason I can't get it's guns to take out the NPC enemies as quickly as I do the less armed Gladius... thus I feel the Gladius gets some sort of unstated weapons buff in accuracy when it comes to combat... I've flown the Defender, 325a, Buccaneer, 350r, and Sabre quite a bit (with the same guns or more than a Gladius) - but for some reason the Gladius gets the easiest kills - and it doesn't make sense to me when you look at the stats on paper.

The 325 is a nice ship. But it has two things i really don't like.
If you loose a wing (what can easily happens in a fight because they are made out of cardboard ) you also loose a weapon.
And the other thing that you can enter it only with the ladder. Wish the 300 had the same entrance like the 100.

Against other players it's a good idea. But just for PVE Missions not worth the time, i think.
@@vonrosphe3098 I find that about time I run out of Balistic cannon ammo, I need fuel or repairs anyway. It last longer than the gattling gun ammo. Besides, lots of players try to jump you these days. I like to be prepared.

Depends on what you do in game, I've always had a sweet spot for the 325A, but the bay in the back of the Avenger might be more useful to most

It's a prettier Avenger that exchanges some cargo capacity for more missiles and a 20% increase in price. Not a fan of paying extra for virtual luxury and I prefer the more practical looks of Anvil and Aegis anyway.

@@Farrister follow up report. I needed a little bunker runner. Something fast that can hold a few corpses and defend itself in a pinch and has a bed. So I bought the 325a. Here's a report on the state of the bugs. The ladder works flawlessly so far. The chair seems OK but u have to be close to activate it. The gun rack IS bugged. Once placed the weapon can not be retrieved. So far I haven't been able to get the monitor near the bed working but maybe I just haven't found the button. All in all the ship performs well for its intended role.
Is anyone annoyed from the BIG light refection in the central top of the cocpit? for me it totaly ruins the exeptional view... even in this video it points so out to me 00:02:50

@@Farrister power is ok but with the Titan they are the same besides additional rockets on the 325a.
Main difference used to be performance, but now they are, as I say, weirdly equalized and 325a no longer has that edge (at least according to erkul) of being faster and more maneuverable, which an interceptor should still have.
So I went back to the Titan, because personally I like that ship design and its utility more. Something else will have to become my luxurious bounty hunting/cruising in style craft.
But of course none of that is set in stone just yet.

You can really see the contrast between the lack of polish on early ships compared to more recent ships. The pilot seat in this thing looks pretty bad, the interior in general just looks bland and unrefined. It just goes to show how much the ship designers have improved over the years... and why we have gold standard passes.
