@@carrie-annamc2803 I tell seniors to never give money to anyone through email or from the phone. Most of them are old enough they don't need those modern conviniences. So if anyone really needs money they will send you mail or set up a meeting in person. It just makes it easier than trying to explain a lot of these scams. I told my grand parents years ago to call me if their computer ever had any real issues.

My grandpa once got scammed for thousands because the scammer claimed he kidnapped his granddaughter (my sister). The scammer also had a girl to scream and act scared. My grandpa was in his 90s at the time and didn’t know any better.
My grandma had a scammer call and say one of us was kidnapped and she called my mom on her other phone to check. She was a smart cookie. Luckily she knew about scammers at that time and kept her wits. If it was my grandpa he would have paid asap.

@@malamu1357 Probably something to do with fraud or conspiracy charges. If real money transfers hands in an illegal way, it doesn't matter the context, the law has been broken and Kitboga could be charged with that offense.
Idea: Make a troll version of 2FA for your bank account that is super easy puzzles/solutions and times out for like 15-30min after 3 failed attempts and purposely mess up the first 3 attempts. Then lead the scammer on some nonsense story after failing the first 3 attempts to really get him worked up, but make it so that when it comes off cooldown it changes in to extremely hard puzzles that u have to get like 10 in a row right to complete. After you fail the first 3 attempts and the scammer is frustrated waiting for it to come off cooldown convince him to do the 2FA for you saying its some new feature they must have added that you dont understand

Thankfully, my great aunt picked up that something was wrong and convinced my grandma to talk to my mom about it. My mom explained it was a scam and to always ask her if someone was asking for money, especially if someone was telling her to keep quiet about it.

I think this preys on the psychological phenomenon that many people are too scared to embarrass themselves in front of an "expert", and thus they are too scared to doubt what the "expert" is saying and to say something against it. In many cases even if the person is 99.9% sure that it cannot possibly be right, their fear of personal embarrassment and humiliation in front of an "expert" is too strong and overrides these doubts. This is, of course, irrational thinking, but that's just how the human psyche works in many cases.

I just received two calls today from Social security scammers and due to watching your videos I knew right away what they were up to and was able to string them along for 20+ minutes.
You do amazing work and we all appreciate it.

Idea:
Make a troll version of 2FA for your bank account that is super easy puzzles/solutions and times out for like 15-30min after 3 failed attempts and purposely mess up the first 3 attempts. Then lead the scammer on some nonsense story after failing the first 3 attempts to really get him worked up, but make it so that when it comes off cooldown it changes in to extremely hard puzzles that u have to get like 10 in a row right to complete. After you fail the first 3 attempts and the scammer is frustrated waiting for it to come off cooldown convince him to do the 2FA for you saying its some new feature they must have added that you dont understand

Thank you for doing this! A scammer almost got my grandma by pretending to be my brother. Thankfully, my great aunt picked up that something was wrong and convinced my grandma to talk to my mom about it. My mom explained it was a scam and to always ask her if someone was asking for money, especially if someone was telling her to keep quiet about it.

I think this preys on the psychological phenomenon that many people are too scared to embarrass themselves in front of an "expert", and thus they are too scared to doubt what the "expert" is saying and to say something against it. In many cases even if the person is 99.9% sure that it cannot possibly be right, their fear of personal embarrassment and humiliation in front of an "expert" is too strong and overrides these doubts. This is, of course, irrational thinking, but that's just how the human psyche works in many cases.
Yeah, typically a real company will inform you that you'll receive your refund in 3-5 business days. They have no reason to see your bank.
