- Christian Bale is well-known for his role as Batman in the hit "The Dark Knight" franchise. He also won an Oscar for his role in the 2010 movie, "The Fighter." His new movie, "Hostiles," is a western drama set in 1892. It follows Army Capt. Joseph Blocker, played by Bale, on a journey to escort a dying Cheyenne war chief and his family back to their native land. Bale joins "CBS This Morning" to discuss the relevance of "Hostiles" today, and how he transformed his look to play the role of former Vice President Dick Cheney.

After 2 decades of watching his movies, this is my introduction to the real Christian Bale and his charismatic personality. I have to say his ability to transform physically says a lot about his discipline.
He looks fat but chill everyone. He's probably put on pounds for a role. He manages his weight like a magician. He went anorexic bone thin for a role in Machinist then beefed up right away for Batman. Went skinny again for Fighter then chubby for American Hustle. Joke all you want but the man's got discipline like no other. And he's laughing his way to the banks and award shows.
