Comedy Connections is a BBC One documentary series produced by BBC Scotland that aired from 2003 to 2008. I was 11 when they started and I grew up watching them on TV. They are as funny today as they were way back then.

I watch my Two Ronnies box set about once every six months & I still love them. On the other hand I haven't watched Not The Nine O'Clock News since it was originally on TV. Real talent endures, although I suspect some of their less PC sketches would give a lot of people the vapours today. Historical social context people!!!

Most of the other celebrities featured in this show have died now - The Two Ronnies themselves, Barry Cryer, Graham Chapman - Josephine Tewson has died in the last week or so!

I was a young scriptwriter (junior scriptwriter) in the 70's with the BBC. I could not have wished for a better apprenticeship than I had working on the 'Two Ronnies'.

70s BBC and ITV are a land more magical than OZ to me. i was a boy from Beaverton Oregon who saw Monty Python , Are you being served and the Ronnies on public broadcasting channel . I had to put aluminum foil on my antennae to watch them .. Tell me more, if you would, please ..what was it like?

Is amusing how the two Ronnies have aged liked a fine wine and can be watched now with great fondness, however who would watch ‘not the 9 o’clock news.’?

@@kobimccarthy3742 No, Barker hated it and Corbett thought it was ok. Griff Rhys Jones is on record as saying at a BBC party not long after the sketch Barker was less than complimentary to him

Young days are lovely and hopeful with love, true sexy love , always just about to happen. Learning and saying hello to everything. Old Days are scary with death and disease and saying goodbye again and again.but.it comes with something like wisdom which seems like a small compensation.
