I am 100% with this. The lowlight on the go 3 is terrible compared to competitors at the same price point. I will certainly be testing that. Would you prefer go 4 vs action 4 in lowlight? Or perhaps an iPhone 11 Pro, or pocket 3. I’ll probably include all for the comparison.
This cam is a crap. Very good accessories and app but concerning thé real vidéo capability it is not 4k from far. Old iphone looks less grainy that this even at normal light. The auto balance can not work ang go from low light to dayligh properly, a waste of time. I also think a lot of people are lying.
I've regretted every insta360 camera I've ever bought to be honest. Had the Go 1. One X, X3, and now I have the Go 3. The Go 3 isn't that bad, but your right about the image quality. It's not even as good as the Pocket 2 and the Pocket 2 is hella old. I did still keep the Go 3. I sold all of the other Insta360 cameras.
I bought the black Go 3 128 GB from BH Photo on sale 2 weeks ago. I noticed that the model was "discontinued" a week later. This was puzzling to me as I understood insta360 was on a two-year refresh cycle. I'll return this and get the latest and greatest when they announce it tomorrow.
No, two year cycle is based on product support, NOT device release. I sold cameras for 15 years, including action cams. We are in an era where if you buy a device after 6 month launch window, it's already outdated. Look at smartphones, they are pumping those things out every 6 to 8 months, yah, I sold those too ;). DJI Action 3 was released Sept 2022, A4 was released Aug 2023. It cracks me up that people keep accusing Insta360 of doing things that their brand has been doing for years lol And no, I don't work for Insta360, I just think their stuff is innovative and I have all the brands including brands you've probably never even heard of ;)
@@thebetterbuy Yah, sometimes there is longer gaps but these days it's not the standard for new releases. Look at GoPro, 11 to 12 was exactly one year, this is now pretty standard, insta360 shouldn't be singled out for this method which a lot of people are doing because let's be honest, they are the ones making a huge impression in this market ;)
@@MiyagisRantI think the issue people are having is the “s” rather than the 4. It wasn’t a true new product release. I get why they did it, but I think that’s where most people are coming from.
i Love the Go2. Hate the Go3. Will the new Go4 have haptic built-in to its camera (not the pod)? I capture B-roll with my Go camera. I hate that i couldn't wear the Go3 and tell if successfully i turned it on or off. For the Go3 I had to rely on the light or beep (both features i purposely turn off on my Go2 because i don't want distracting sound or irritating camera on light in the shot bouncing off reflective surfaces). Knowing the camera is on or off via a haptic vibration is Essential for me and a deal breaker if it doesn't have it.
Thanks for every honest review. Your doing the difference comparing other TH-camrs. I love the 4k video from my Osmo Action 4. Crisp , good contrast and natural colors. Now im interest on get the 360 X4 for create fun angle videos.
I've been bamboozled for Go3 too :D. It's kinda collecting dust. I will buy Action 4 instead of Go4, unless it's revolutionary, I doubt it. Waiting for your review :D.
Hey, you´re so right, do reviews and no promotion !!! Insta 360 is a great company with great ideas, but they shouldn't exert such pressure, we in Germany say "the shot can backfire" . I'm happy to wait for your review and hope that the camera meets all expectations.
I just know that the FreeFrame mode sucks with the GO 3S. I do think that the GO 3 still works better as a small action camera in FreeFrame mode vs the GO 3S 4K. I'm thinking about sending the GO 3S back and just stick with my GO 3 that works better in FreeFrame mode than the GO 3S.
Your video is the first one I’ve seen that mentions Insta’s new camera. Wonder when all the buzz will start? Now, I love my Go 2, chose not to upgrade to the Go 3. Really hoping the 4k resolution is available across the board and not just in standard video mode. Fingers crossed! Love your stuff - keep it up! 👍
@@thebetterbuy Oh, I know it’s coming. Normally we’d see more ‘theorizing’ type videos by now. You know the ones, content creators give us their insights as to what they expect the camera to offer by breaking down the teaser ad frame by frame.

@thebetterbuy thank you for your honesty. Ages ago, I remeber looking into the older models, and people were showing that they constantly had to fix the audio in the post because it wasn't close enough to being in sync. To me, I really like the concept design, but audio is such a crucial part of video to me, and apparently, going into high stabilisation mode just absolutely made it unbearable. So I was about to film a video putting a camera inside a blender bottle and I thought I needed the go 3 for size.
