Thanks Bernie, I should have mentioned that so thank you for adding this. I did consider this but because I want to sell the Go 3 I thought it better to get the entire unit. Also because I had the Go 3 in white and wanted the Go 3S in black I wanted it to match. Appreciate the comment and have a great weekend
i have the x3, go3 and pocket3. we have similar requirements so i really enjoyed your opinion. still deciding if i want to upgrade to the go3s, X4 and get an action5...i was disappointed with the image quality of the x3 and go3, didnt feel comfortable adding the footage to my vlogs go3s and x4 look great when there is great lighting but from what i have seen, they still kinda struggle in low light. the best scenario for me is if they would add that 1 inch sensor in the action 5. currently considering the ace pro
@@tribalhak thank you, I definitely agree with your thoughts about the go3 and the x3, the image quality just wasn’t up to it. The x4 is a lot better, but still not as good as what you get with the pocket 3. The go3s is so so so much better than the go3, but it’s still a tiny sensor so as soon as the light goes it falls apart. The Ace pro does look great and the low light on it just got better. Maybe wait a few weeks and see what the Action 5 is released with (I expect it to stay as it is with the Action 4) and then decide. The Action 4 and 5 advantage is that it will work well with the output from the pocket, especially if you shoot both in d-log. 🫶🏻
Does it have a loop mode? thanks for all your effort. I am researching for a relative. She needs a camera for horse-riding on the road to deal with bad drivers. Something with a rear and front view or two cameras. Been looking at the Wolfang as a budget option and the GoPro's as a more expensive one. There's also a tube front and rear option, forget the name of that one. This helps. Thanks. WOnder if the Insta 2 would be good enough, I imagine so.
It does have loop mode yes - I’ve not used it but assume it works well as I’ve not heard anything bad about it. The go 3 (not s) also has it I think - worth checking but a consideration is that they are both not great in low light and dark situations.
@@Runningonthemind That's great thanks. I think it'll be used in daylight so but that's also good to know for dawn dusk excursions and under canopy of trees perhaps. Thanks again :)
You’re very welcome, thanks for taking the time to watch it and visiting what do on here. It will do a review of a Few of my other cameras soon so subscribe if you want to see any others .
Nice video last Inst360 was the first one and I fell in love right away keep in mind this is while I was also using a GoPro Hero 11 and I def have been a fan since!
Thank you, glad you liked it. I think the 3s is a big step up from what they’ve made so far. Love its versatility, it really can give a perspective that no other camera can.
Its strength is its size and portability. The X4 360 is better but even 8k on the X4 only works out as 2.7k ish once it’s reframed to 16:9. Given the choice I’d go X4 (I have that too)
@@hoymikey that’s true - my go to is the Osmo pocket 3 but but that’s no action camera for sure! X4 is great for an immersive experience. I think the Go 3s is a great little camera but low light will still be a struggle compared to the likes of the R and the GoPro etc. they all seem to have a used case, probably just so we end up buying more 😂
@@Runningonthemind got it, i will use it probably while motorcycling, some leisure with family and friends and whenever we are on the beach. X4 or this? hehe
@@hoymikey for biking the X4 is amazing but the action pod on the go 3s is magnetic so could give you some unique footage attached to the bike in places you can’t attach an action cam to. For me though, of the two, I’d go x4 but there is more to do in post processing
You’ve made my choice for me. I’m going to buy one for my channel now. Thank you!
Thanks, I’m glad to have helped in some way, it’s way better than previous versions. Appreciate it and will check out your channel 🫶🏻
@@Runningonthemind thank you!
You can get GO 3S Standalone Camera which is still compatible with the GO 3 Action Pod. So something to consider if you already own the Go 3.

How long does the battery last?
About 35ish minutes for the pod only in 4K I think and about 150ish with the action pod
Hmm, I think it is worth it, probably the missing feature is, it to be 360 .
