For portable use the bluetooth and battery versatility of the Fiio is my choice. Clip case and short IEM cable is great while working. Use it so much my clip broke so I 3d printed a new one.
I still love the BTR5 it's a great unit
Much like hood scoops on sports cars, I'm a sucker for see through electronics.
The btr5 is awesome. I love the neutral tuning of btr5
I am blown away by this thing!!! have it for about 4 hours now. it is just amazing with applle music. Listening to Black Sabbath Essentials. This dongle warped me into space!!!

High impedance headphones are limited by how much voltage to unit can produce. Low impedance headphones are limited by current generally speaking. Therefore to assume this would be good with high impedance headphones is correct
Very good review. I too have the Sundara and HD650's, connected to a desktop Questyle CMA 400i dac/headphone amp. Love all three.

Thanks for this review, I have the BTR5, but have been spoilt by hearing the amazing Chord Mojo 2 so am intending to buy that when I can afford it. Interested to hear what you think of the new Air Pods Pro, I had a pair of the v1 on loan while waiting for the new version. Much improved sound quality, a real pleasure in fact. In your review, please consider going against the grain and talking about the spatial audio experience as well (even if you don't like it, though I do!)
My BTR5's battery expanded till it forced the mother board to pop out the front cover. This is after almost 3 years of use. Now I'm DAC less.
Can you compare it to the hiby FC06?

hi I have akg type c headphones which have a built in DAC; is it good enough?, and i use it with a strix g18 2023 via thunderbolt ; which has a thunderbolt 4/cpu :13th gen i9. I am able to see that windows allows me to set the sound quality on 24bit 96khz. So is it viable or i need to make some changes? . i sometimes directly download lossless music or use Spotify premium.
I read that the M15 doesn't sound good through its single ended out (3.5)? One reviewer really harped on that said it was excellent through the balanced but mediocre at best through the single ended... Did you try the 3.5 out ? Or could you comment on whether high or low gain single ended out if you still have the device or recall it well, please ? I'm actually going to use this in a home system: single ended out to RCA pair right into my tube preamp and full kit I'm having fun collecting good dongle decks for this purpose. They sound good and have different characters so I can change the sound of my whole system whenever I want 😊
I like the output through the 3.5mm jack and it’s what I use the majority of the time

which have smoother more bold sound more lush less fatigue and more panch impact of bass this m15 or ifi zen dac?
I'm looking for a solution for plugging my laptop into the 3.5mm AUX line in into my car stereo. Using the 3.5mm jack from the laptop dock produces very low gain and not the best audio. What solutions would you recommend for this use case? I was strongly considering the M15 but could use one of the bigger IFI or Chord DACs as long as it's USB powered.
in the car, I'd definitely recommend something small - i reckon the Questyle would offer plenty of power!
How is it compared to Hiby R5 Saber Gen 2 and Shanling M3X in sound quality sir? I’m thinking whether i will go with DAP or dongle dac/amp. Thank you.
Not heard the sabre but I much prefer the fiio to the m3x

I haven't heard either. I own a DragonFly Cobalt. What I surmised from other reviewers is that the Questyle M15 is a bit more neutral while the Go Bar is slightly lush sounding. So what sounds best will vary, depending on the synergy with your headphones and headphone cable.
I too own the questyle m15, but I am considering upgrading to a DAP, as it indeed drains so much battery from the phone. How is the improvement in terms of sound quality, if I upgrade from this dongle to a dap like the Astell & Kern Kann Max or like the iBasso DX320?
Both of those will be far superior. Even my fiio m11 plus ess is much better than the m15.

I own the M15 and had the Shanling M7 DAP at one point. The M15 is noticeably superior compared to the M7 despite being 1/4th of the price. M15s power output depends on the source too. It provides far more power when hooked up to a laptop than when it is hooked up to a phone. M15 connected to the M7 provided a lot of power too. I drove my HD6XX, Arya Stealth and LCD-X 2021.
@@FattahKhanDhrubo i finally bought the ibasso DX320, sounds so smooth and it reveals a little bit more of the detail. I actually like the dx320 more than any other endgame daps.
I haven't seen any vids in a while that do not say the reviewed DAC is excellent 🙄

@@AudioFixation Same here. The Go blu is very fussy with pairing. It pairs well with a very few number of earphones, with others it's garbage.

So its pronounced as questyle! I always thought it was questyle instead of questyle.
