Hi. Good review! I have a choice to make between the Questyle M15 and the Ifi Hip-Dac 3 to accompany my new Focal Celestee headphones. I like the less bulky side of the M15 for going on a cell phone, but I haven't tried both. The price is very similar despite their difference in format and power. Which of the two do you prefer?
Awesome video!!!!! Hey, I am just starting my path in the HiFi world and just bought the m15. I have two questions, My first question is since the m15 has the gain option, is it a good thing to just leave that one? or when is that optimal to use the gain on? 2nd question is the magenta color light is for "final unfold of an MQA core stream". What is that and how can I try that type of file or source? Thanks just need some clarity on these two things.
Good review! I bought the M15 to use with my Focal Celestee headphones on my cell phone. The sound is excellent except that when I take the bus the sound cuts out for no reason. It might take 30 minutes of listening, or sometimes it's less. I have to unplug the USB wire and plug it back in but it starts again after 5, 10 minutes. I do not understand why. My music source is Qobuz and I don't change anything when it happens. When I'm at home in my living room, it doesn't happen. My connections are still fixed. It's very weird... Do you have any idea what it could be?
Can you confirm when looking at the bitrate LED that the iphone switches the sample rate automatically with Apple Music? Does it play at the same sample rate as the source file everytime? I would like to get an iPhone 13 Pro or 14 Pro to use with the M15, and I want to make sure it does that no problem. Did you experience any "glare" common with ESS chips? Also, opinions on the Luxury Precision W2?
So the volume is dependent from your phone? Because when I use UAPP as my player you cannot adjust the volume rather adjust it with my BTR5. I am interested though if M15 or RU6 will suit my audio source.
If I already hip dac2, is it worth the investment to buy this dongle? Or should I save some money to invest in a DAP/BT DAC instead? My concern would be battery life considering that I'm mostly listening on my iOS devices.

Thanks for the review ! Looks like a nice device! But m15 might be a little bit too lean and clean for my taste. Will stick to my RU6 for now!
Thanks for watching!
Is the ru6 slightly warm than the m15?
should i buy this for my laptop for better sound in fps games and movies. or the laptop it self is enough?
Does it consume a lot of battery from the phone? I’m between ua5 and m15 just because ua5 has integrated battery
I have a Hidzs S9 Pro, is it worth the upgrade for a Focal Clear, Moondrop Kato
I do not think so. You have a good portable DAC.
@@arduino8506 Okay then thank you
Hello! Ultimately, which one would you choose if you could only have one? .Thanks

Hi, if i only use Tidal to play music, which one can decode better? ifi hip dac or Questyle M15? thanks
you should ve use Gain, i wanted to hear ur excitement then :}
Soundstage/audio quality aside, does anyone know if this will boost the volume of the device it's connected to?
When using Questyle M15 with your iPhone , Do you encounter any noise?

Yes volume is dependent for the device you are connected to unfortunately.

Hmm this and hip dac 2 sound different so if you want something fresh then yes, if not I rather you save your money.
@@ianfann thanks a lot for your input 🙏🏼
How did you costumize your Hip Dac? 😲
What iem in this video?
Moondrop Stellaris
@@ianfann cable?
Kinera gramr
@@ianfann thanks for your answer
No problem, anytime.
Can i use it with 7hz salnotes zero?
Not my cup of tea. It's too linear and too boring
You just get a shitty V shaped m50x and an amp then.
no volume control, i'll pass
