    I just finished the first read through of your book a few days ago. I have been working on trying to flex the lead wrist at the halfway back position and am struggling with that. This video should help. Thanks for this one. Can’t wait for our course to open in Nova Scotia. I’m a 71 yo female and my bucket list is to break 90 this season. 🤞

    Just found your videos and will definitely use them to discuss things with my better half, (esp at golf) she's an LPGA pro here in az, far east aside of the valley at gold canyon golf resort, Katie, and I'm a greenskeeper new to the game about 2 years in since I met her. There's always videos I'll find and ask her.. hey do I do this? Should I do this? Or often times she will say,, I've been trying to tell you that!!! Lol

    My golf coach has been trying to get me to hinge the club up as it seems I do as you described. The heavy deal!!! Does the wrist hinge start immediately in the backswing or at some point during takeaway. Sorry if this is a bit of a silly question 😊😊

    • @USGOLFTVshow
      @USGOLFTVshow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We like to see it take place from when the clubshaft is at parallel to the ground to lead arm being parallel to the ground. Hope that helps...

    I am confused about lowering the hands tip. In a few other videos, you have suggested to raise the handle to reduce the chances of slicing. Can you clarify?

    • @USGOLFTVshow
      @USGOLFTVshow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. We like the high handle for the driver and our students who struggle slicing the golf ball. If we have students struggling with proper wrist hinge we will have them lower the hands. Hope that helps...

    • @USGOLFTVshow
      @USGOLFTVshow  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes and no, it all depends on the golfer. In the Vertical Line Swing we like to see a slightly closed clubface or a flat lead wrist. You can learn more here if interested www.badliegolfbook.com/

    Why wouldn't you set your flat lead wrist condition at set-up, so you wouldn't have to think about having to manipulate your wrist during the swing ?

    • @USGOLFTVshow
      @USGOLFTVshow  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is possible to do that, however we like to see some movement in the swing as it helps tempo and rhythm and timing in our experience

    Should my wrist be cupped or flat at the top?🤨

    • @USGOLFTVshow
      @USGOLFTVshow  ปีที่แล้ว

      Really depends on your grip style. In general most amateur golfers are better to feel like the lead wrist is flat IMO.

    I think, turn, set wrist and swing. For me its tempo. Turn, set wrist swing. If I set wrist early, no distance in my back swing. So its all sequencing, tempo. Turn, upper body, set wrist, swing. I do that over and over so my tempo is the same.

  • @Peter-we8iw
    @Peter-we8iw ปีที่แล้ว

    Totally disagree with you, at least the way you describe and demonstrate the weight of the club in the swing. To me, the club must feel heavy from the handle to clubhead through the swing. What you demonstrate is weak hands where the weight of the club overpowers the hands and arms. I need a firm grip feeling the weight of the club in the coil to set the club at the top of the backswing. Once the club is set the lower body and legs lead the shoulders, arms, and wrists through release in the downswing.

    The trail wrist does NOT hinge up and to compare this with an extreme wrong swing is a strawman argument.
    Lead wrist hinges up. Trail wrist hinges BACK.
