I love this video as it’s the only time I have ever been call a “great player”. 😂. Thanks for all your help Todd. It almost felt like I was only swinging halfway back. The drill at the end works very well. I have seen Bryson swing over 130mph doing that!
@ Getting better slowly but surely, thanks. Lots of short game work! Handicap down a couple this year. Getting closer to shooting my age, but I think it’s going to be easier to get older than to score lower. Like most “experienced” players I could do with hitting it 30 yards further, but doing speed training for the first time in your late 60’s is a sure-fire way to injure yourself (ask me how I know this!). I need to visit one of your camps for some warm desert golf.
This is yours and Nick's best video yet, Todd. I thought I was overswinging. The problem was...as you described...dragging the handle across the finish line first. Thumbs to the sky, guys. Thanks for the video and the teaching. This is Steve in Oklahoma...the land of wind and seniors who overswing to try and beat that wind. Thumbs to the sky!!!
Dave from Indianapolis here. I am an experienced golfer with a 25 handicap. When I use my driver, most of my strikes are high on the club face and usually go left. I videoed myself and found that during my downswing, I am raising up on my feet with my hells off the ground and my hips are not turning toward the target. I have your book The Bad Lie but still struggle with my driver.

Shaft lean and compression is all the rage of late with your colleagues Todd. How do you incorporate that into an efficient and effective swing given the advice provided here? THANKS!
@@michaelsliwinski8044 good question. With irons, more shaft lean can and will help many golfers. Driver , not so much. One of the big reasons for doing this video is that shaft lean happens naturally when other movements are correct. It is not something that can be "created" in our experience. Hope that helps 👊
