Tengen is back, and more flashier than ever. He is one of the coolest Hashira, and it's so good that he's training Tanjiro, and also that he has his wives with him.
I thought they just try to push their limit with worthy opponents. Because do not forget that the ultimate goal their boss gave to them now is not training slayers. Actually it is to wake their demon slayers' mark asap.
The good thing about the s4, and specifically this episode is that literally 90% of it was anime original, pretty sure they only adapted like few panels from a chapter in this episode Many won't like it but I feel like hashira training arc in manga was rushed and they are adapting it greatly as a complete season
To answer your question about if anybody else has seen the Infinity Castle that's a no. Obenai and Sanemi were the first out of all the hashira/ main characters to actually see inside it. We've seen it before as the audience a few times like when Akaza jumped in there and when the train demon got Muzans blood. Other than that nobody has ever seen it Also the reason Obenai and Sanemi wanted to have a sparring match was because as Sanemi mentioned they aren't gonna improve themselves if they're fighting what's essentially level 1 demon slayers when they're on level 80. They won't improve that way and keep in mind it was Gyomei who suggested training the other demon slayers also. Everybody else originally wanted it to be just the hashira. So training with somebody that's on your level or close to it will improve both and not just one side
The anime is doing an amazing job by expanding a lot of things in a good way. We got more of my man Tengen and his wives, things that as far as I remember were not in the manga at all because we just got like two or three pages with them before going to Muichiro. Also the new scenes of Shinazugawa and Obanai are great, because now I feel these two actually get along while in the manga they barely talked. If this keeps going I have hope that they will give you much more content I felt was missing in the manga and actually make the show better overall.

I think it's so important to show that while we're used to Tanjiro struggling and talking about how he needs to improve he's always up against an upper rank or next to a Hashira so we don't really get to see how those experiences have really created a massive gap between him and the rest, this arc is a great way of both having more time to enjoy and know the characters before the final big fight/s and see how far Tanjiro has come so what happens next is believable.
Tengen still the best ever. First to defeat an Upper Rank for like hundreds of years, survived, went back and retired with his 3 lovely wives. The man deserves it
Tengen along with Tanjiro,Zenitsu, Inosuke,Nezuko along with his 3 wives ( Total = 8 person) defeated Uppermoon 6 (Daki And Gyutaro ) . If Tengen Fought Alone then he would have died. Thats the difference .

Tengen Lack Some forms of Sound breathing(skills) and as he constantly worried about his wives ,he also lacked mental strength. So even if mark was introduced early tengen would have have awaken it... Also Muzan clearly mention that Gyutaro would have been Uppermoon 4 level if daki was not holding him back as gyutaro was constantly look after daki in that battle... At prime Gyutaro can easily defeat most of the hashira as not only Gyutaro attack are highly deadlier ( a single cut from gyutaro and that person will be easily poisoned) but also gyutaro is very fast. In fact Tengen was fastest hashira in unmarked form but still gyutaro wad matching him clearly shows how much powerful gyutaro was. If kamado sqaud was not present there then tengen would have died
If you've read the manga, then seeing the other Slayers accepting their own inadequacies compared to Tanjiro and the Hashira and decide to assist how they can in the coming battle should be insightful . . .
Tengen's still making himself useful to the Demon Slayer Corp and it was enjoyable seeing him have some "down time" to interact with Tanjiro, also a bonus that him & Tanjiro inspired the others.
A lot ofold-world japanese clothing is meant to be "modest" or hide your body, especially in the case of samurai or swordsmen which is why tanjiro and zenitsu seem so average without their shirts off. When you thin about what they've been though it's no wonder they're so jacked lmao
I'm probably the only one who thinks this, but honestly? I enjoyed this arc more than the Swordsmith Village arc, in both the manga and, so far, the anime. There's a ton more characters, for starters, some of which we haven't seen since season one and are finally getting more development.
80-85 % things of this episode was not in the manga. Actually in manga (believe me I'm not spoiling anything) tanjiro just speed run through these trainings specially uzui's training. I'm glad to see ufotable is adding more concrete story to it. Just remember its just a buildup for the next arc and believe me you all are not ready for what's coming.

We got more of my man Tengen and his wives, things that as far as I remember were not in the manga at all because we just got like two or three pages with them before going to Muichiro.
