Great share, gentlemen - been on my mind if that wind shadow/bubble really was that shape. I read/saw it other places but it was hard to resolve that there was disturbance effectively windward of the boat/sail. You cleared that up with this vid. I think when we are talking about strategically using the "force field" it would be lee-bowing someone. If I am correct, this discussion explains what the lee bow is. Your final point about that scarcely-used position well below the disturbance of the upwind boat is excellent. Hopefully, I am the boat in the front, though.
