    These are such useful jacking units for a pretty low price. I like your mods. As for power lifting, make sure to never use the impact gun on it, the gears will spit their teeth very quickly. I sadly killed 2 very nice old jacks learning the hard way.

    You should have flipped the base plate upside down so it will dig into ground so it doesn’t slip when you use it off-road.

    As I noticed from the comments and your responses regarding the music, and while I personally like the music - reminds me of The B-52s or Oingo Boingo - it is too loud for the video. In just about every video editing software you can control the volume on the individual audio tracks. The best range for music along with video is to reduce the volume -20 to -25db. There is also a thing called audio ducking, to find it for your particular editing system, look it up on YT. It's where the music sound automatically reduces in volume when someone is speaking and then comes back to full volume when not speaking.
    As for the jack 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼! I made one similar from a 5k jack square jack foot 20 years ago to lift my lifted F-350. They work great. Are better than Hi-Lift, and lighter to maneuver.

    I love the idea! It's great! I would however, try to move the lift point closer to the vertical section. I think you'd have less issue of it wanting to kick out (which is the scary part of all high lift jacks).

    • @MiahsBug
      @MiahsBug  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I agree. The lift arm should be as short as practical. The articulating foot helps with being able to angle the leg directly under the lift point to reduce the chances of it slipping out

    Is there a reason to include the round tubing and pin? If you had cut that off and welded directly to the c channel, you would have your lifting point closer to the center of the jack so it wouldn't kick out like that, and it would be stronger. Originally I was thinking you would weld one of those rings directly to the vehicle so it could be a lifting point and storage location.
    Also, turn down the music. It's louder than your talking in a couple places.

    • @MiahsBug
      @MiahsBug  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The only reason we did that is so it can be changed out if needed. You definitely could weld directly to the leg and not use the pin portion. Good idea Kami!
