Hi Craig, great video. I thought of doing the similar fashion as yours on my hobie compass too but am concern of the imbalance due to the weight of the motor and the mounting on the kayak to be strong enough. How did you manage to overcome those two obstacles?
Hi Kelvin. Was quite easy to balance out by having the motor on one side and the battery on other. The motor mount is easily removed through the fishing rod holders.
HOLA, mi nombre es Carlos, de Santander, España. Tengo un Lure 11.5. Me podrías enviar imágenes de cómo has instalado el motor? Muchas gracias y felicitaciones.
Wow, that's really flying. How is the steering with the rudder and sidemount? I'm trying to decide if I should sidemount mine or go to the extra effort of setting it up on the rear.
Darren Turner cruises along quite nicely even in some chop. The rudder system works well with this setup, the motor very easy to install/remove when required...
cool dude i love it but lets just hope the feds dont start wanting us to register our yaks if they get too fast. like the yanks the feds and do gooders cant helps themselves
JUST AWESOME. Any photos of how it's setup. I want this over the t24. Perfect amount of power
i have one i'm mounting on the back with pedal steering.. can't wait to see how it does.
Hi. I just purchased one of these. How did you side mount it?
NICE VIDEO how long does a 40 battery last if trolling half that speed? thanks

Great vid mate just out of interest what size battery are you running? And how long do you get out of it?
Using a single 40 amp hour deep cycle battery. Generally lasts 2-3hrs depending on use and speed.
@@craigledbury6405 thanks Craig much appreciated

We have to register here in Hellinois. As soon as you put a trolling motor on it the alphabet boys want to snatch a twenty from ya
Needs to be registered in wa, or and id if you add a electric trolling motor .
What kind of mounting do u have installed
how long does your battery last?
jeremy wolski Around 2hrs or so with a 40ah
cruizing
can you still paddle with in mounted on the side
Yes you can... Although you won't get anywhere fast. I usually paddle with the motor tilted out of the water before use.
