  • A beautiful island in Norway, but what about those fricking windmills? I hiked up the mountain to check out the windmill park. It was perhaps a rather menacing place. The island of Hitra is a stunning and quite large island in Norway with much to offer, but the windmills are not the greatest feature of the island. Join me to see those windmills that are located in the mountains of this quite remote island. A hike to a windmill park, Hitra island, Norway.

It's the same at many places in here in the Swedish "fjällen" too. Visited one of these "wind parks" last summer. That mountain area used to be full of bird life and beautiful nature. Now all that could be heard was the powerplants, and the nature was destroyed as far as I could see. And just like Norway we too produce a lot of electricity but export so much that the regular people here can barely afford the bills during the winter.

Sad to hear that...it is absurd and insane what they do. Seems to me almost everyone are against the windmills, but politicians keep doing this. Thanks for watching!

Very Jurassic there Chris. It’s a terrible shame, all these turbines are killing our beautiful birds of prey. It’s the exact same here in Scotland.

Yes, there are other places more affected too than here. And in Norway we HAVE enough hydroelectric power, but those "in charge" export so much electricity to Europe instead of using to benefit regular people AND Norwegian industry. Insane.

@@sandvenexplorerWe have more than enough energy for Scotland but, like you, we export a lot to England. We don’t need more turbines.
