Her voice really never changed much through the years
I guess its because her voice was already extremely developed at such a young age so she always sounded very mature
How some people don’t believe that she sang rockin around the Christmas tree at 13, they need to see this video asap
Me, for a moment. I just heard on the radio tonight that she was born on this date in 1944, and I thought it must have been an error (actually nineteen THIRTY-four or something, surely?) because I'd always assumed the voice in "Rockin' Around" was an adult's.
Such a serious little artist! She is really into her craft and has such an established voice at a young age.
Little did she know that when she was older she whould make some big hits! Her voice pretty much never changed!
@@Maspets She sure was not. Even by her own account later in life she loved performing for a crowd.
Not only a big voice but she was as serious as can be on her songs. An adult in a little body. Loved her songs back then and still love them.
She already had her signature sound as a little girl. My mother loved Brenda Lee.
She always had the pipes! John Lennon said she had the perfect voice for Rock ‘n Roll.

Brenda came to sing at the Dixie Skate Land on north Dixie Hyway in Monroe Michigan in 1963. Her managers were having frequent trouble with the audience members getting too touchy-feely with her. I was best friends with the local DJ and was known at the skate rink management as being respectful. He asked me if i would be a body guard for Miss Lee. Of course, i said I would be honored. Brenda sang her songs beautifully, and everyone was thrilled. She was such a lovely lady, and she was courteous and very kind to everyone. Im glad im able to say that I was her body gaurd even if it was only for one night! Thank you, Miss Lee! You're a delight and wonderful artist! ❤
Brenda is 5 yrs older than me. As a young teenager, I had all of her records and tried to sIng like her. I love her voice.
Hi , how are
I’ll like to make friend with you if you never mind ? I don’t know if you do use email address ?
Wow! She looks so tiny and young for an 11 year old. And then that voice!
She weighed 4 pounds 11 ounces at birth and only grew to be 4 feet 9 inches (1.45 m). The contrast of her diminutive size and powerful voice, along with the fact that she had a hit song titled Dynamite, led to her nickname Little Miss Dynamite.
Signature voice and sound. Certain people, many performers you know who it is as soon as they start to sing.
She has been such a consistent performer all her life. ❤❤❤
I also was 11 in 1956 I remember listening to her as a kid I had no idea that we were the same age way to go girl I love your music
The real stars have it from their youth up. And Brenda sure had it.
I remember meeting Brenda on the set of the Ozark Jubilee around this time. My older sister was a dancer with the kids square dance group that were regulars on the show. I got to hang out during rehearsals and met many famous country stars. My favorite memory was sitting on Minnie Pearl's lap, sharing cookies and learning about comic timing. I was 5, haha.
@@pepperspei6804 hi , how are you? I’ll like to know more about you if you don’t mind
Brenda Lee was born gifted with a beautiful voice and talent. She will always be a memory of my childhood.

A song Little Richard made a hit with. I know Brenda made him proud singing his song. And boy did she sing it!
Desde niña fue una leyenda a futuro.
Forever Brenda Lee.
Perfect skills in presentation and acting like a professional in such a young age. She has been far ahead of her time!
Very talented! She made her family's living in the hard times.
Weren’t the 50s a time of economic growth where people could buy houses from sears?
@@o0blubblub0o No, not for everyone!! Especially for those living in the South where Brenda comes from.
@@Gerardnolan191 thats a question thats more complex that you think. youd have to specify that
If she is still alive, she is 1 year older than me and I remember her great musical talent/voice. I still have many of her songs in my musical library.

😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
My happy memories of Christmas as a child during the 1960s always have 'Jinglebell Rock" playing in the background, in fact it's not the Merry Christmas Season until I hear her singing it.
Ha ha ha! 👍🏻😆 Even here in the South of the American Continent..! Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱🫶🏼
I believe she did Rocking around the Christmas tree And Bobby Helms did Jingle bell Rock.
@@edb294 They both sang "Jingle Bell Rock", both are great. Brenda's was released in 1964 and is the one I remember. Google it.
Wow! Brenda Lee at 11 yo, a treat to hear her sing. Thank you for posting.
She was as cute as a button. What a bold voice!
I LOVE Brenda Lee! What a cutie here. I don't think I've ever seen her so young performing. You go, Brenda. Love ya.
Had the chance to meet her and sit for a while to talk. Very nice person and very down to earth.
Brenda Lee had everybody loving country music. She was the best!
Little Miss Dynamite ‼️
Went out with a guy once and he was a big fan, he had all her LPs - good memories listening to some of them ... 👍💯
Even at 11 she had that distinctive, brassy voice. Wonderful.
A Star in the Making you can hear it in her distinctive voice even at that tender age.. People such as Brenda are born to be lifelong " Star Singers " its a Gift bestowed upon them .
So true. That's something you don't learn. You're born with it. S God given talent that she was blessed to have.😊
Que linda niña. Es la canción original. Que maravilla. Gracias. Bendiciones.😊
What a sweetheart! Love her voice.
Was lucky to see Brenda at a Fair way back when in Washington State. She signed autographs later after the show and she was the sweetest person! So tired, yet loyally signing autographs! One of her band people asked her if she was hungry..did she want to go to a restaurant..I think she wearily said "yes".. and signed away!!
I got to see her perform live when she opened for Fabian in Houston. You can imagine how long ago that was. I have never forgotten that concert and it was many many decades ago.
It's not only her talent, but also her attitude!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Brenda Lee! A great talent!
Amazing gifted voice, so glad she was discovered!
OMG...she's awesome!!!!!!!!!!! Best cover of Little Richard's song by far!!!
I know you are not serious, because Elvis was the best cover version of the song, Even Little Richard stated so and he should know!!
All talent, no gimmicks.
Wow! Even at 11 she sounded great. She stayed that way and her voice didn't change that much.
My most favorite when I was 14 ! “I’m sorry “, “sweet nothing”, “jambalaya “….!
