I like to think that basically everywhere that isn’t America China Russia and Western Europe is just business as usual. Like Australia heard the news and went “huh, damn” and have just collectively decided to not go to these places post-war. Because America especially California and south west there would be tons of South Americans taking land where they could, same with the north and Canada (unless Canada was just nuked too due to it being annexed by America)

Well guessing a large island based economy would be first to split from any mainland pacts isn’t too tough. At face value it’s impressive but all things considered it’s obvious that the U.K. would always be in a place to leave. After all it’s a whole United Kingdom with its own commonwealth.

The United Kingdom has been strengthened throughout history not just through economics but also through hardships together. All the countries had to face Napoleon, their sons and father died as British soldiers first. Then on Scottish people became extremely important in the process of building Britain into the biggest empire with famous Scots such James Watt or David Brewster. The idea of being British was at an all time high between these nations, Scots were very influential in Victorian Britain and had very many notable people. Going into the First and Second World Wars, Scotland profited quote well from these experiences especially in the naval sphere where their massive shipyards outdid the ones of Portsmouth and Plymouth.
During the empire the Scot’s and welsh were taxed less than the English and this persists to this day. England has always spent outwardly more than it has inwardly throughout its whole existence as a union. Indeed even America’s revolution was caused by America wanting representation in U.K. Parliament because Britain dropped the tax on tea and undercut their black market. New England had the highest wealth per capita on earth. The 13 colonies combined however made less money than Jamaica alone. Canada later requested local government rather than representation in U.K. Parliament and it was granted after and inquiry.
To this day both Scotland and wales have their own parliaments and receive free education and payment into their health services as part of the NHS body.
P.s my argument was than the U.K. is a large governing body of itself, I was not speaking for unity in all matters but more so that it’s a large enough political and economic power to successfully be first to split from the fictional European commonwealth.

Fallout setting in Canada would be good addition to the world of Fallout; new wildlife, new views of the world and pre-war situations, new factions, new settlements and vaults, new technologies and so on.
As nice as that would be, we both know that if Bethesda made it they’d just shoehorn in the Brotherhood of Steel and Super Mutants when they have no business being here lol

@@youngcracker9517 Realistically, some of them probably would go to Canada, but my issue is that Bethesda is more focused on re-using factions likes the Brotherhood instead of creating new ones that would better fit the area or setting. At this point i want a Fallout game with no BoS, mutants, or Enclave. I want new factions that are entirely original.

From an Indian perspective, i can say that a lot of people in India would survive the great war and mostly would be the military because of the following reason; there are many underground army and air force stations in the Himalayan region from Himachal to arunachal which can hold thousands of soldiers and years of supplies...they would definitely survive the nuclear impact....in the same region there are many towns and villages which are covered by hugh mountains and these mountains will act as a natural border from the nuclear fallout...but the other parts of India will face devastating nuclear fallout other than the mountain areas
I like how the lore took place in our world, unlike GTA, which messed with the lore to place Vice City in Leonida instead of its original location in Florida.
Rock Star Games always placed fictional cities within REAL US STATES like Vice City Florida, Liberty CIty NY, Los Santos California, etc. They even retconed the Cubans and Hatians in the Vice City remaster.
If anyone says that it's always been Leonida, it has not, the Vice City radio comercials always mentioned Florida and Reddick Florida.
Los Santos was always in San Andreas. It was never in California in any of the gta timelines, Liberty City was never in New York either. Only Vice City was in a real state

Fun Fact: Glock firearms are named by their patent number (the 17 being Gaston's 17th patent and so on) So if they kept this naming scheme consistant, that would mean modern handguns such as the Glock 19 or 45 could exist in the Fallout timeline in theory.

I would imagine that the Swiss and Austria might have gotten through the economic collapse better than many other countries. Both countries get quite a bit of their electricity from hydro electric facilities, so they'd probably be less heavily hit by the drying up of fossil fuels. Though they both are quite strongly integrated into the local international trade networks, so they'd certainly not escape unscathed.
Frankly I'm surprised Austria was in the European Commonwealth at all. Sure it's in the EU, but in military matters, Austria is staunchly neutral like the Swiss. And just like the Swiss it was initially forced to declare themselves neutral, but the population has since embraced this neutral status. If that hasn't changed in the Fallout universe, that would make it less likely anyone would have wasted nukes on Austria or the Swiss, at least in term of direct hits. Though with the small size of both the Swiss and Austria, they might still be quite heavily damaged by nukes detonating in neighboring countries, close to the border, even if not hit directly themselves.
As a Norwegian, a country that gets mostly ignored in games except for Viking games and games with a "Nordic" setting.. I always love when I play a AAA game and randomly bump into Norwegians.. This one in fallout is good but the voice actors is clearly not Norwegian, the voice acting is on the level of the ones in captain America first avenger 😂 there's also the group on RDR 2.. The first time I picked up a random not and realised only Scandinavians would be able to read it without getting a translation was very cool

I blame Todd and Bethesda. From what I've read Tim Cain, one of the creator of the original Fallout stated, there's was too much recycled story elements from it's sequels.
Just think, if Bethesda had the balls to actually be more creative with the Fallout lore worldwide, we would have many Fallout sequels from around the world by now.
I also don't like when people say that Fallout lore should only stay in America and it would be boring game settings if it takes place outside of the USA. Lol.

Britain a great power was in a Union with Europe called the European commonwealth a super power (combined) and they nuked the shit out of the middle eastern powers for oil. Britain starved of resources split from the commonwealth and they both went to war and the European continent was destroyed by conventional warfare like world war 2, then a global nuclear war started and i'm guessing Europe nuked the shit out of it's self. i know the UK was laid waste and most of the major powers in Europe like France was also absolutely decimated. if tenpenny moved to the US from the UK then the UK must be in the worst possible state.

Having the Only service type US rifle be locked being a rare atom shop skin in Fallout 76 was a huge let down I waited almost a year to start playing until it was back in the shop. Funny enough it overrides the Homemade Rifle which looks like an AK
