Honestly the best ball diff vid I've seen & plenty of them around, after seeing this I carried out some rebuilds & very happy with the results, agree you don't have to have the adjustment so damn tight & I guess you can have that as future adjustment if needed, can't wait to check out what's else you have coming, all the best.
Best ball diff video I’ve seen, you taught me something! I didn’t know about sanding the rings so that will save lots of money. I’ll pick up your tool asap
Humm.. didnt know schumacher invented the ball diff… doesnt really mean its the “best” IMO, but, i see what your getting at…. As long as the diff “works” i would think any difference in greases would be more of a “feel” kind of think, not “better or worse”… like, 35 shock oil isnt better than 30… or worse….
Sounds like a Bob Ross tutorial, with the happy balls… 👍🏼😉
I’ve got the smoothest ball diff I’ve ever had thanks to this video
Tony, you know how I know you are an old school racer...."after a couple packs"... ;) Well done, perfect old school diff building instructions.

Excellent! Tony Like you been doing the ring sanding since the 90's Zero issues. Need to get that driver here soon!

I had no idea you had a TH-cam channel tony….This was a great video!
Thank you!
This is it Dave!
Great video
Thank u
This is a nice video. But this is the newest diff from Schumacher whit the spring. Something special about the older "cup" springs?
I build and adjust the v1 diff the same way
Thanks for the video, very informative because you took the time to explain 👍🏻 Do you sand the rings when they are new also?
Yes 👍
What car does that diff belong to? I’m used to AE, but I’ve never used washers between the bearing on the male outdrive.
Schumacher. The inventor of the ball diff 👍
What's the difference between the white and black grease? Why ball diff over sliper/gear diff?
Ball diffs are used on dirt and low grip Astro surfaces. Gear diffs are typically used on high grip Astro and carpet in 2wd buggies.
hi, where can I get that diff tool?
