+James leija well there is never a guarantee but Matagorda always seems to get a blacktip from the beach where we go 5 miles down the beach but bring a 4x4. This isn't a car beach that far down and always live or cut mullet or croaker
+Kamran Haris ... now... September to November they are on the move. Live bait or cut bait (mullet, croaker, whiting) for the bulls. But really any time of year you can find reds somewhere. But now is the time and don't wait for calm water. I have caught very large reds in some choppy conditions and also in flat water. It all depends what the bait fish are doing... follow the bait fish....
