theoben came from the uk and was bought by an american company, the first ever precharged rifle design and still to this day one of the best rifles on the market.i still shoot one of the original rapid 7s and can group at 100 yards no problem. just one note to all rifle owners with a free floating barrel,do not rest it on stands like the video with the barrel taking the weight it will not do your barrel or grouping any good. i do like what america has done with this and glad it still has the alot of the looks of the original.
I got to say I love the intro. I was a teenager in the 80s so I totally get the joke. I have been a huge fan of rapid air weapons as long as I can remember I just can't afford one. their home base factory is here in Tennessee and it's only a couple of hundred miles from where I live. I've always wanted to take a day trip and have a tour of their factory. I read a few comments down below and I'm just going to say.....There's always somebody that's going to say their gun can do this and their gun can do that. They are only fooling themselves. This rifle or any of their rifles out of the box are tuned to perfection....and if you don't think so you can tell them exactly what you want and they will do it for you. I think a lot of people have over expectations of what a air rifle is capable of doing. It is not a powder burning rifle and will never be able to perform like one. My only qualm with this rifle is the trigger guard. For me personally I would like an enclosed trigger guard. I hope rapid air weapons makes a ton of money off of doing this. They absolutely deserve it. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong it's been a long time since I watch the documentary on their factory. They are owned by a husband and wife and they employ about 20 employees. Everyone that works at that factory cares about their job at loves what they do. That's something the rest of the world should take note of. In a world of disposable appliances..... Rapid air weapons make something that will last you a lifetime and they stand behind what they make.

My RAW1000X is my fav gun far and away, my highly perfected .25 Impact is a close 2nd and my Crown .25 is 3rd... my Impact is insanely consistent and 10 shot 50 yard groups consistently with Kings will run .35 avg and it's hard to believe the 1000X is more accurate. My 1000X will shoot MOA 10 shot groups at 100 yards all day long at the indoor range... 3 MOA at 200 yards with MKIIs at 64ftlbs. Right now the 1000X is THE gun... I'm ordering me a 1000x LRT. 30 here very soon.
Surprising low shot count for a bottled gun especially at that power level. My taipan vet .25 standard with 18 inch barrel got 30 shots at that power level. With much less Air. My custom brod with 350cc tank got that power level for 60 shots. Awesome accuracy for the raw but where is the efficiency?

raw is a is a theoben air rifle they were originally made in United Kingdom so the raw is a old English design (looks a bit like the BSA S10) the directors of theoben had a bit of a falling out and one of them buggered off to America with the designs and opened raw and started making air guns again. r a w not all American.

Rapid Air Weapons is or was headquartered in Minor Hill, TN. Martin Rudderford and his wife immigrated to the United States from England about 11 years ago. Rutterford did work for Theoben, which went belly up and declared bankruptcy. Rutterford bought the rights to whatever remained of Theoben. And why did he immigrate to the United States? What Martin told me is that the economic and manufacturing climate in England was so poor (too many regulations) that he did not think he could run the company profitably- Theoben could not. So he came to Minor Hill, Tennessee, where he opened up a small shop in a town of 500 people where ALL RAWs were and are produced. Like many companies, RAW purchased parts on the world market, including the German Lothar Walther barrels- but the air rifles are clearly all American built. The HW 1000 is not a Theoben, although it is based upon that design. Rutterford has a prototype of the new Theoben. I bought a Beeman HW100 that was advertised as being fully shrouded, when the rifle arrived it wasn't, they have not made this issue right, I would highly recommend that you chose a different company to purchase from. Pyramid air, airguns of Arizona, etc.

Wow 2 grand for an airgun? I agree with jeff , my 223 remington could easily out shoot this ,granted its more expensive to shoot and way louder but 600.00 for gun and whatever scope you would need. I reload so the expense is not as bad. I get it these are the high end of the airgun world like FX and the like.Sort of like a rolls royce vs vw ? Sure is pertty though and at that price it should be!
Airguns are always going to be more money than a comparable firearm because they are far more complex. But for those that love airguns you can't do much better than the HM1000X.

The prices are high on these higher end airguns but you can find more affordable options that are really good, ( Hatsan, Ataman, Benjamin, Kral ). The prices on RAW, FX, Daystate are really high and yeah you could easily buy 3 to 4 firearms with one of them but they are built for different purposes. I do own both airguns and fire arms, where the big difference comes with them is the legality of where you can shoot them and for what purpose. You can't just shoot 22lr, 9mm, 5.56 Nato or 223 REM in you backyard without the police showing up and not to mention the expenses, cleaning, etc.. Airguns you can shoot in your backyard all day, super quiet, don't have to clean them as much, very cheap to shoot, accurate up to 150 yards and perfect for hunting all sorts of small to large game , plinking, pesting, target shooting and competition.
The quality must be affected by the production model. I just received my HM1000xlrt with the camo wood stock. The wood stock has a terrible fit at the butt plate. It’s oversized and has a sizable ridge on one side and its nice and flush on the other. The breach also has some significant dings in the portion around where the pellet goes in. Im really disappointed. The price point is far too high to reflect this production version of the HM1000. I purchased through Airgun Depot.

I bought a POS fx impact mk2 and all it does is break. FX is total garbage. Never expect a socialist company to have a good work ethic. They are scum. Buy American! I am selling my POS impact on ebay this week.
It is nice gun but I think it is not as special as you are presenting it. This gun to be accurate at its best need Huma regulator. LW barrels are great. European guns are better . You know it and everybody else knows it.
Antonio Mornar - My guess is that you have not held a RAW in your hands, let alone shot one. There exists a reason that the folks who own RAWs- and waited months for Martin Rudderford to custom make them- call RAWs “The Porsche” of air rifles. RAW build quality truly puts some good European air rifles to shame. And how do I know? I own Theoben, Air Arms, Weirauch, Daystate, Beeman (old Beemans manufactured by Webley, Theoben and Weirauch), and FX air rifles, as well as two RAWs. Not one has the OVERALL build quality of a RAW. And yes, Rudderford was an integral part of Theoben (and he owns that name and patents and even has new rifles coming- I have held a prototype). The Daystate and Air Arms likely have the best metal finish by a hair, but the RAWs OVERALL build quality is clearly superior all other air rifles that I own. My first 12 shot group with my .25 Raw (60 FPE version) after I mounted a Nightforce SHV) at 50 yards off the bench was a single hole which was barely bigger than the JSB pellet, maybe a total of 1/16 inch larger. RAWs are indeed extraordinary air rifles.
You are probably right but why not built it backyard friendly instal proper regulator ? The built quality meens nothing i it is not a coplete package. This days ewerithing is on the market. Just need to make proper dessision and have a perfect gun. I do not doubt what you say just you have not make me belive.

Indonesian make better pcp rifles with better groupings using local made cnc chamber with anti bouncing hammer technology. LW barrel polygon, composite tank, huma regulator and match grade trigger for only $500. Proved lots of our athletes won the regional shooting championship (Sea Games) using our local made upgraded pcp rifles.
One correction: Right hand feed magazines are available, so Travis's concerns about inserting them with a large sidewheel are moot.

Over the FX royale 400 and the wolverine hi lite 2 deystate. I ended up choosing my RAW HM1000. The best air rifle on the market. 100% reliable.

The hammer spring adjustment is for fine tuning only. You would want to adjust the regulator up to get to 60fpe.

@@budfarkus...also Bud, if ya haven't already, check out the FX Crown. They allow interchangeable barrels, so you can change out from .177 - .30 :)

Lay your thumb alongside the stock. Reduces torque from squeezing too.

You're not paying for speed, you're paying for accuracy. Virtually no pellet shoots even halfway decent at 1150fps.
Still can’t compete with FX tunable and mags so needs more improvement!

There exists a reason that the folks who own RAWs- and waited months for Martin Rudderford to custom make them- call RAWs “The Porsche” of air rifles. RAW build quality truly puts some good European air rifles to shame. And how do I know? I own Theoben, Air Arms, Weirauch, Daystate, Beeman (old Beemans manufactured by Webley, Theoben and Weirauch), and FX air rifles, as well as two RAWs. Not one has the OVERALL build quality of a RAW. And yes, Rudderford was an integral part of Theoben (and he owns that name and patents and even has new rifles coming- I have held a prototype). The Daystate and Air Arms likely have the best metal finish by a hair, but the RAWs OVERALL build quality is clearly superior all other air rifles that I own. My first 12 shot group with my .25 Raw (60 FPE version) after I mounted a Nightforce SHV) at 50 yards off the bench was a single hole which was barely bigger than the JSB pellet, maybe a total of 1/16 inch larger. RAWs are indeed extraordinary air rifles.

You are probably right but why not built it backyard friendly instal proper regulator ? The built quality meens nothing i it is not a coplete package. This days ewerithing is on the market. Just need to make proper dessision and have a perfect gun. I do not doubt what you say just you have not make me belive.

Indonesian make better pcp rifles with better groupings using local made cnc chamber with anti bouncing hammer technology. LW barrel polygon, composite tank, huma regulator and match grade trigger for only $500. Proved lots of our athletes won the regional shooting championship (Sea Games) using our local made upgraded pcp rifles.
