Ford reintroduces the Bronco, it's wildly popular with thousands of preorders. Chevy reintroduces the Blazer and nobody cares, because it's another mediocre SUV and K5 is now a Kia. Huge missed opportunity GM. Shame too, I really like the K5 Blazer. Good work Kyle.

My family had a 78 then a 86. They were like family members. We loved them. Gas monsters sure, but it was under a dollar a gallon for decades. They were infinitely repairable. We dove the wheels off them. First one got wrecked, the other we drove into dust. I wish I could buy one today. I would get two.

The King Kong V8 (as John Davis referred to it in the '89 K5 Blazer list of hits) sounds amazing! If you can restore it and put a new exhaust system that sounds as good as this worn out system does, that would be so cool! 🤟👏
I also noticed that this is a dual-exhaust unit. Didn't know dual exhausts were also available for trucks at that time, I only knew this for the body-on-frame sedans of the period! That's nuts! Haha! 🤣🤟
I really like this car, seems like it's good for a variety of uses, both on and off the road, and the quad-shock front suspension looks strong, if a bit unloved after all these years.
Great choice, Kyle! Show it the love it deserves! ❤🤟

Given the state of the engine ?, a 10-40w or 10-30W for cold climate or 15-40w for a climate that has minimally sustained cold weather and if not a high zinc phosphorus oil, use a additive like ZDDP+(1oz per quart for oil with 800 or less parts per million like premium synthetics for example) for the flat tappet lifters(1200 to 1800 is the goal, 2000 ppm will corrode the bearings).
