This is a very nice edited video. I love you guys. I hope this channel grows bigger
I could imagine Gaga writing a song in the style of the film pretty easily. She did plenty of jazz and Broadway work with Tony Bennett. I can easily imagine her writing a more low key song that fits the melancholic tone of the film, while still feeling fitting for a blockbuster. I just wonder if that lowkey song could win (I lean toward no)
This is a question for Matt. When you go to cannes are you gonna release videos everyday of you going to the movies at cannes and telling your thoughts like you did for tiff last year?
Idk if you said viewers can do this but, I wanted to give some advice since I like your vids. Maybe don’t stick to your script as much, use it as a guide for what you want to say. Maybe edit the vid more, so that it doesn’t feel like it just one continuous take and if you guys feel like one moment is awkward or you can’t remember what you want to say, you can edit it out. And for your intro, maybe fade out the intro sooner bc in some of your vids it’s hard to understand what you’re saying when the music track is louder than your audio tracks. Anyway, hope you guys see this and can use it to make your vids better, keep up the good work
You could justify a Gladiator PD nom without it being too strong if you consider Napoleon an apt comparison
I'm a little torn about Silvestri getting nominated or possibly winning. This category doesn't really care about narratives (look at Robbie Robertson and Joe Hisaishi this year for example) but then again Morricone mostly won on a narrative and you could argue Laura Karpman was overdue for a nom as well. Silvestri is a big name with big movies behind him like Predator, Back to the Future & Avengers and maybe if it picks up steam they can milk that and use it to push him for a win (assuming Here is good)
Question for your next question portion for next video (that is if you plan to do such)-between Paolo Sorrentino’s Parthenope and Jia Zhang-ke’s Caught By the Tides sight unseen which is more likely to win the Palme d’Or?
Certainly a choice to not have Joker 2 in Score considering the first won that category 😂
It's valid though, they don't have Zimmer for Dune 2 as well. Ludwig won for Black Panther and wasn't even nominated for Wakanda Forever despite people saying his score is better than the first. Only exception so far is John Williams & Howard Shore
