I just replied with: "That person looks gorgeous, probably went to Silverhold" and he just left with his ship. I love this community.
I love walking to people and asking them if they have "seen this man" before, if they manage to make me laugh I will totally leave them alone regardless of their bonunty, kind of a vibe check to decide wether I should hunt them or not lol

A little while after I set sail from Palo Town, and he pulled out an assassination contract with my name on it, asking if I had seen that person. I was nervous, but went along with the joke, saying that I had never seen that person. After some joking back and forth, he said he wanted me to get to my destination and place a tent down, so I wouldn't have to travel from the other side of the sea, again. We got to Kenton's island, and I placed my tent down. We fought, and he won pretty easily since I was too low of a level to put up a good fight. Afterwards he thanked me, gave me Elius's shirt and sailed away. I was somewhat mad about losing 4,000 fame, but I have nothing but respect for that guy.
I do this plenty of times before ending a criminal i ask them “do you know who this man is?” And they mostly say “thats me” and u just end them on the spot BUT if they say “no” i leave them be and end then anyway lol

Funny moment: some low level marines really wanted me dead but they couldn't hurt me (i had really high fame) so they were either trying to bash me doing nothing or phasing into me waiting to try to shoot me. Then i found an AI criminal on harvest island, fought a bit, then the stupido marine stole my kill. The chat said "The criminal [his name] was defeated by [my name] and apprehended by the Grand Navy."
I have had a good number of ketches worth of sailors do this to me but I'm a marine myself and despite the lag I drag them to all sorts of places to just help me fight enemies XD Even had a lvl 200 captain just causally clear ravenna guards for me by just getting the guards aggro and hitting them
i wish it was just like this instead of heroes instantly becoming toxix and trying to finish you while accidently instakilling you in a gank squad cuz other player also came for you. Having 100k+ bounty is only a problem and never useful. Wish there was more than every hero on server trying to hunt you
I did this too a guy at Frostmill once he said “so how do you wanna do this?” And asked me if I wanted too 1v1. Majority of the people I do this too just attack me straight away so that interaction was nice
