So....wait. Was Weird Al a part of MTV (like a VJ) back in the 80s b/c the beginning looked like he just showed the music video for "Sledgehammer." If so, that's all the more reason I wish I could take a time machine and live out the 80s.
From his second album until Running With Scissors, every time Al put out a new album, MTV would give him a few hours one day to do whatever he wanted and called it Al-TV (although for Bad Hair Day, they only gave him an hour, and it was just him showing videos and then his parodies of them and doing two or three skits. There were no fake interviews for some reason, although he did do a few of them for Canada’s Much Music). He would do skits, these fake interviews and other silly things, and he’d show his new video and any other videos he wanted. It was a really cool concept. After that, VH1 had him do an hour special every time he released a new album up through Straight Outta Lynwood. It was basically a very condensed version of Al-TV where he showed the videos for his new album and mainly focused on the fake interviews.
@@crescentfreshbret I remember AL TV from way back. At least around or before the Even Worse/Off the Deep End era. I used to have like an hour's worth of it on VHS
And now we have his awful daughter making trash TV and having women starve themselves with her diet “accountability” program that you have to sign a non-disclosure agreement to join. At least she’s not gonna be on TV anymore.
This stuff is solid frickin' gold!!!!
We need more Al TV
What a coincidence, I was listening to my Best of John Cougar collection today.
His last record in 1987 sold 3 million copies
Brilliant comedy genius 💕
Oh my goodness I thought it was real at first LOL
As far as I'm concerned, Weird Al IS Mr. Mtv....
the clothes... the scenery.... the 'stache...
little johnny cougar: always a favorite.
Good ol' days.
Someone gave a thumb down!!!! Go listen to Lil Wayne man. AL TV is classic. UHF is best movie ever 😂😂😂😂
Agreed, a true under appreciated classic...
Al is so timely and the kids are doing it again for the next few weeks but I think he will get a newspaper so he can get the chicken
Lol, I know John's dad and he's a nice guy.
I hope he finally got that raise
I had one of those talking robots!
This totally cracked me up HA HA

Yes, his show was on MTV.
Yeah. MTV used to be good.

@@crescentfreshbrethe did an Al TV for Poodle Hat as he did a mock interview with Eminem and Avril Lavigne.
This is a SUPER FUNNY ONE!!!
between 2 ferns before there were ferns
I wonder if someone followed up with Peter Gabriel on how he got the footage of his younger self.
Well I tell you what, my last record sold 3,5 million records so far!
My dog's name is Woggy
The only thing Mellon camp ever did worth watching

Yeah
The politically correct thought police wouldn’t allow Al to make us laugh these days
I heavily doubt that. Weird Al is transcendent comedy gold and his humour is witty without being offensive, it's not the secret to success.
Ha
shit, thats messed up lol
its fake for one
Oh, pshaw.
You're a troll. We all know it and it's funny.
