The fact that 'law' doesn't require Al to get permission to parody a song, yet he still does...shows the class act Al is. It also warms my 55 year old heart (as old as Al's) to see youth appreciate Al's talent. #Teartomyeye Al is the MozartBeethovenBrahmsGriegBach of parody music.
This makes me happy on so many levels! I'm so glad they all like my hero, Weird Al. And I loved what Eric and Madison said about making parodies because you love doing it, not for the views. Amen.
Weird Al may be the unquestionable master of the genre, but he certainly didn't invent it. Dr. Demento had a radio show in the 1970s that played other parody artists (or just plain weird music) and this is where Weird Al was first showcased. You gotta hand it to Weird Al. Who else has had 95%+ market share of a genre for 40+ years? I can't think of anyone else so dominant in their field. What on earth are we going to do when he finally stops?
Parodies have been around for decades dude. They just weren't popular until Weird Al made it a music form that not only almost sounds better than the original song he based it off of, but it is very entertaining to many people, including myself.
I’m so handy was the first weird al song I listened to, my dad pit it on the radio we where on our way to school. It’s one of my favorite memories lol that song will always remind me of my dad driving me to school
my dad bought me Running with Scissors for Christmas when i was around 12 or so. I lost him at 14. It's one of my fondest thoughts of him because of all the joy Al has brought me through years. I have the CD in my Dad Box.
"he's actually a really good singer" girl you are SO under-appreciating this mans voice. Not just a really good singer, probably a contender for the BEST voice alive right now.

Always amusing that everything flies over Miracle's head. And there's Michael happily ignoring her while she declares her general confusion with the world. Strong plan.
Years go by, Weird Al is still going strong, and those who criticized him here are aging and being replaced by a new generation. Only the good is still here. '...just take it...'
OH my goodness, lil' chick says "I thought all this weird stuff happened when the internet was invented, now I'm learn everyone's was weird since like, the dawn of time" HILARIOUS!!! Dear Teens, Get ready Al is the G.O.A.T. of parody. Plus he is a good singer. His creatively knows NO limits, none... Madonna stated once that if Al parodies your song, then you have arrived. You have made it....
Reminds me of when the Hamilton Polka came out. Questlove called Lin saying "Screw all you're older accolades! You have been immortalized by Weird Al! You've peaked! You're done!" I think it was on Jimmy Fallon he spoke about it.
as a teen i had a very sad feeling that none of them would know the legend that is Al, but faith was restored when atleast 3 of em not only knew Al but idolized him
I'm now in my 70s. I raised my two kids, born 12 years apart, on Weird Al and Monty Python. My son is now 47 and my daughter 35. My daughter's first concert at age 12 was Weird Al and she actually got to meet him one-on-one. I got into Weird Al as an adult in the 1980s, but my love of parody goes back to Shel Silverstein (who wrote "A Boy Named Sue") and, before that, to Allen Sherman (famous for "Hello, Muddah"). I loved the Bonzo Dog [Doo Dah] Band in the 1970s, Tom Leher in the 1960s, Stan Freberg from the 1950s, and Spike Jones and His City Slickers from the 50s into the 60s (who originally included Mel Blanc, the 'Man of a Thousand Voices' for Warner Bros cartoons). And Ray Stevens ("Ahab the Arab"), a lesser-known 'Weird Al' from country music, rising in the 1960s and still making music. And loved Jim Stafford in the 70s ("Wildwood Weed" and "My Girl Bill"). Every young child loves novelty songs, but some never grow out of that love of the absurd. I am one of those, and I admit to indoctrinating my own children as well as other people's children with an enduring love of silly songs. And when silliness is married to high cleverness, THAT is ART! They say the Great Leveler in life is Death, but I maintain the Great Leveler is silliness; it reduces us all back to being children again. Adults charmed by the silliness meet their children enjoying silliness as equals and in shared humanity. Having a good cry allows tears to heal us, but laughing until we cry and gasp for breath seems to ward off trauma in the first place.

Ok boomer
One only hopes, right?
I was seven like two seconds ago... Now I'm 26...
Think about it. All these teens are now adults with 2 or 3 kids, and jobs and bills.😅
You wanna feel old? 9 years later and the new teens, the kids on Kids React, are doing a react on Weird Al.
This makes me happy on so many levels! I'm so glad they all like my hero, Weird Al. And I loved what Eric and Madison said about making parodies because you love doing it, not for the views. Amen.
hello
Weird Al Yankovic: coming out with more original lyrics than 97% of the music industry.
jacob guillen EXACTLY, & the fact that Weird Al has an ACTUAL BAND behind him & NOT autotuned just makes him THAT much better!
His originals are just as good as the parodies. I honestly like them better.
If something (God forbid) should happen to Weird Al, the original artists should do a concert where they sing his versions of their songs
So far he's doing a pretty good job of outliving them!
That would be awesome but sad 😢
Weird Al is the most amazing satirist/parody act of our time. Just make a special award for that category and nominate him as the sole winner forever.
Kid "That was weird."
Me "It's WEIRD AL! It's suppose to be weird!"
"Can we replace Iggy Azalea with Weird Al?" Hahaha LOL best comment I've heard in awhile! Yes!
The skater dude with the hat and braces, is super positive. I got in a good mood by his attitude and fun comments. I like him :)
"Can we replace Iggy with Weird Al" give that boy an award
No one knows her now, so yeah.
Who's Iggy
Weird Al is a legend. So glad he won a Grammy for his album.
A girl at my school sang "Foil" his royals parody at my school concert and she actually made a foil hat!
BUT, the question is......................did she put it on her head??
Haha
I sang foil too at my school and made a foil hat XD
yep
***** you failing your horrible joke is entertaining
That one kid with a hat gives me hope for this generation
2:12-2:15 “Who would dedicate a whole song to foil?” Well who dedicate a whole song to butts or no flex zones?
weird al is on the top charts right now how do you feel about it? - it sadens me.. - me : oh screw you

Eminem once said "You're not a famous musician until weird al has parodied a song of yours"
"He who is tired of Weird Al, is tired of life"
Weird Al.
He parodied song before it was cool
It was cool in MAD magazine before weird Al but you had to supply your own music. Weird Al and his musicians rock.
5:43-6:00, My thoughts on Bart Baker's parodies.
Basically.
EXACTLYYY OMGGG he bashes artists soooo bad and then calls it a "parody" to cover it up.... What a jackass
***** He's still very repetitive with his humor.
Well... thats a arguable statement.
Wierd al is on the top of the billboard charts, some girl "but hes like, old"
.... this generation.....
Weird Al is the Boss of Parody!
I almost pity the ones who didn't like weird al! He's amazing ♥

The instruments used. The music they make. The artists that make them, these all change. But Al... Al NEVER CHANGES
Weird al is the best parody artist hands down I went to see him in concert 😄

Weird al is incapable of aging
Yes he is immortal
"I'm so happy he's back!" HE NEVER LEFT!
"Who dedicates a whole song to foil?"
Al does.
This guy started before the internet came around and had nothing but paradies. Good to see his art stands up against time.
