Such a good video bro, I love the electric diagram 💯. So question I have 2012 v6 with this kit, I always getting misfire after 2-3 flames 🔥. It doesn’t mean check engine light only, the engine starts working rough, one or two cylinders don’t work. What could be a cause?
Does it have to be wired to my ignition? I feel like if I wire it to my ignition and hold the button down when I’m supposed to I’m going to stall my car by accident one of the times.
@@vencd4010 the plugs wasn’t gapped properly and my car wasn’t up to temp it would just backfire instead holding the flame because of the condensation still being on the exhaust.
can you PLEASE help me!!! please explain at 5:10 what the 2nd red wire is taped too? did you just connect the other purple side to that side same way and just tape it?? hope you understand and can help with my question
Well.. the cylinders are likely going to be okay, it's everything else that can fail catastrophically if you're not careful. * if you don't remove the cats, they'll melt from the unburnt fuel, clogging up the engine. In the best case, your engine will just run poorly or not at all. In the likely case, you'll blow seals and gaskets due to excessive cylinder pressure or with high enough compression you could damage the pistons, possibly hydrolock engine depending on how much fuel your squirting, definitely dilute your oil, perhaps even crack the head or block depending on what car it is and how quickly and how badly it gets clogged. * you will get a check engine light unless you're running a custom ECU specifically built to handle this, because the stock ECU will be expecting to see burning fuel, but instead sees a no-spark, so it will throw a code. * you will destroy your O2 sensors in short order by giving the hot sensors cold blasts of fuel followed by hot blasts of exhaust, followed by cold again, etc., as you use the system. The rapid thermal expansion changes will eventually crack the bulbs. * you will foul your spark plugs over time as the overly richly fueled cylinders are sparked back up and the lingering fuel undergoes incomplete burn. This will also throw a rich code on the ECU and you'll get a check engine light. * you might prematurely ignite the fuel mixture in the hot exhaust pipes, causing a massive backfire in the pipe. It might just be an annoying noise, but it could also crack your exhaust pipes, pop exhaust gaskets, crack the exhaust manifold or even crack the head. * if you're sitting still and shooting flames, you might set your bumper on fire. Or you might set the ground underneath you on fire without realizing it. Any time there's fire at the rear of a car, there's the possibility of that fire traveling to things such as the fuel evap canister or the trunk upholstery, and from there to the fuel tank and/or fuel lines.. and by the time you have the interior of the car or the fuel tank on fire, your car is pretty much done, and possibly you with it. * using the wrong wire gauge, having a manufacturing fault in the controller, or doing a poor job of the wiring somehow can cause the wire to melt and short to chassis, causing anything from electrical damage to an unwanted fire. Bottom line: this is a cool effect, but it should not be marketed to Joe Sixpack as a fun toy. Doing a flamethrower mod correctly requires substantial knowledge of the car and using it requires restraint and acute awareness of one's surroundings. People just "sending it" on the streets and causing damage in the process is just going to make both the flamethrower mod itself as well as car modification in general get made even more of a legal minefield by the government.
Hi! Thank you for taking the time to answer me and giving a lot of information on the subject. It's true that it's fun to watch and certainly impressive, but there is the mechanical side of the vehicle and our safety. Maybe a breaker limiter will be the right compromise? Otherwise for my part I prefer to favor all the components of my car. I do not want to compromise the reliability of my vehicle, we can see that the flames do not come out as the engine would have done naturally; ) Afterwards, everyone does as they wish.
@redtagmedia what if the car goes into Limp mode I hear alot of people cars going into limp mode when they install the flame kit on there car if there anyway to avoid that ?
To avoid excessive back pressure if the catalytic converters melt or brake. It's recommended to remove them. The active exhaust and resonator shouldn't have an issue.
Yo at the end did you say DONT PRESS the button while on the gas if moving or don’t DEPRESS (like stop holding) the button while on gas for moving flames?
This is pretty cool and I wanna do this to my car, but because you’re not burning the air/fuel mixture, doesn’t that affect the timing and so, the reliability?
Hey brother i have longtubes n extremely high flow cats which i can see through and roush axlebacks i can literally see a shadow of fuel that comes out on ground behind the car when i rev it on rev limiter .should i be good then
Hell yesss....so 1st I need to order that kit. 2nd I have pre cats on a gen 7 accord 3.0 v6 off the headers but straight pipe everywhere else al the way back with muffler delete... will I need to remove the pre cats to work and not damage anything like u mentioned or leave the pre cats .
I had a question for you guys. i have an exhaust setup as you and i have no cats. i installed it, it definitely sparks. it wont shoot flames like you guys showed. i see it sometimes make the flame inside the exhaust but it wont shoot it out. i sometimes see flames but its super inconsistent, is there really any tips on it. i do "have a muffler" its not really a muffler it doesnt even work like one. but it is drilled before it so its about 3 inches before the tip of the exhaust (where the spark is). i really want this to work please help!
You throw it on neutral, accelerate the car over 4000rpm and as it drops you pump the gas without letting die or go too low(meaning the RPMS). Once it goes under 2k you do it again. The higher you Rev it the bigger the flames and the more time you have pump it. Hope this helps and stay safe.
@redtagmedia I love the video. Made me get one now. Just curious how do you know how big the flames are or how much it’s blowing out while going down the high way at high speeds? Just hope it’s coming out good?
Good infos thanks. But " pumping the gas " on an electronically controlled injection system? Dont think so... we dont have accelaration pumps anymore... just hold it down I would say.
TENGO EL KIT TORCH YA TENGO TODO CONECTADO SOLO ME FALTA EL CABLE DE 12V PERO NO SE DONDE CONECTARLO YA QUE SOLO ES CUANDO ENCIENDA EL CARRO , QUE ME RECOMIENDAS ?
It won't add hp. A flamethrower kit basically disconnects the spark plugs from the engine and reconnects to the sparkplug on the exhuasts upon pressing the switch.
This is an Auto electrcians nightmare. The pliers used to crimp will not hold sh*t, the lack of conduit on the wire ANYWHERE, especially in the engine bay, the wire being pressed BETWEEN the firewall grommet and metal edge, the wire route in the dash looks like someone through a role of toilet paper at a house, the free drilling into the plastic trim piece for the switch. Yikes, obviously not professionals but damn this hurt to watch.
We are sorry for not meeting your standards for safety. If you think this is so dangerous and it hurts to watch we encourage you to give us a better alternative to install the flame thrower kit.
@redtagmedia the alternative would be to include conduit, route wires away from metal that can rub through by using existing wiring loom and mounts and Proper crimpers to crimp the terminals correctly.
thank you bro you actually made this seem easy asf ngl
Always remove the NEGATIVE battery cable first, then when reinstalling attach positive first!
So if I have an auto will this work and the switch do you just click it or is it an off on type button or can I buy a toggle and make it a switch ?

Why my flames don’t stay consistent? They just pop do I need to gap the spark plugs?

Do I need to remove catalytic converters?
You need test pipes to replace your cats or catless down pipes

How can you minimize the wear on spark plugs from this kit and if there are better plugs to run for a 21 GT which ones should I get?
Do i need a tune to disable the codes for the ignition system when i use this exact flame kit??
An sct device should do the work, just delete the codes everytime they come on and wait for the engine to heat up.

does it work with active exhaust with only resonator delete ? i have a 2021 mustang gt 10 speed

As for wiring is it the same for an automatic? And to be clear car has to be catless?
