    I've been watching you get better and better and better, I've been watching you since you made the video of your tool case, before you went to school. I wish we had more readily available cabinetmaker, or woodworking schools in the US but it's pretty limited to just weekend "Shops" or "retreats" or whatever, like make a box in two days and pay 1200 dollars to do it. But that isn't why I'm commenting. I'm commenting because I just wanted to give you a shout out for just being yourself, not posting whining videos when your views are low, etc, etc. Keep doing what you are doing, please don't change a thing. You are going to be in the same sentence as as Frank Klausz one day. Maybe not for dovetailing but you will go down as one of the best. I can feel it. Stay happy and humble, my friend. I see more great things for you on the horizon.

      Hey Michael, Thanks a lot for you loyalty and continued support. You'll be surprised there's more woodworking school in the US than the UK. But yeah I know that short course are pricey for the short amount of time you're on them. Thank you for your kind word, I'll keep going... and I'm looking forward to showing you more build! PS, have you seen my dovetail series 😂

    The Ebony build looks striking, then just when I thought it was finished you introduced the Curly Maple. I'm lost for word's I like them both. Very nice. Tony

    • @SeanEvelegh
      @SeanEvelegh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Tony! it's funny both boxes are very similar (it's just the trim on the edges, that is different) however the look very different. I'm not sure which one I prefer!

    Absolutely stunning! I really like the box with the curly maple trim, it really fits the piece well.
    And the endgrain with the inlay is amazing! Really shows the beautiful patterns in the oak. Damn I am impressed.

      @SeanEvelegh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Paul, thanks a lot! I love the figure in the curly maple as well, it really adds something to the piece! Yeah the end grain effect came out great, I might use it on something else like a table top!

      @@SeanEvelegh Oooh a table top would be amazing with that. But I imagine that would be a LOT of work.

    • @SeanEvelegh
      @SeanEvelegh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@paulurbaniak2242 yeah it would be! But I probably wouldn't do the string inlay. I think it would still be as stunning with just an end grain pattern.

    I like this idea. You have some good ones. But it’s not really an inlay is it? More like a veneer. The ebony stringing is a nice touch. I usually buy the dyed stringing. Ebony is so pricey.

    • @SeanEvelegh
      @SeanEvelegh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mate, yeah the string inlay is stained poplar, but the trim in ebony.... I agree doing the whole thing in ebony would be too expensive. Well the string inlay is inlaid into the oak, and then that sheet is glue on like a veneers, but that's a bit to long for a title lol 😂
