    Lyrics:
    Piece and piece, composed infinite order
    Lacunarity denied
    A swarm of harmony, a libertine in disbelief
    A symphony of forms, a choral remnant of stars
    Quantifying eclectic textures
    Intrinsic perfection
    Periphery atonality
    Errors withheld
    A heavenward cathedral of tones
    A crystal momentum so pure
    A Fractal Dimension
    So concinnous and clear
    Apollonian multiverse
    Of moulds, immortal
    A Fractal Dimension, concinnous and clear

    I love that they added a sped up version of the intro of death's "the philosopher" at the end, beautiful.

      +Simone Cioppa retribution isn't bad, it is something quite different. Had a different approach, more about being brutal than bringing Death Metal to a new level. But I understand if people who are into their recent stuff don't get along with the first record.

      +James Oh neat my name is James too. And Im almost certain that was intentional. I really don't like this song. All it does is rip on Necrophagist and Death. Steffen is nowhere near as original as Hannes, Chris or Tom...

    So bad ass! I was disappointed with the first two singles for sounding pretty bland and I figured it was just because Hannes and Christian arent in the band anymore but this totally turns it around for me. I'm impressed

    • @vZZenn
      @vZZenn 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Akroasis is probably one of the best songs on this album next to Weltseele. Just because it isn't heavy doesn't make it bad. It's a lot more dynamic and there is a lot of musicality behind it.

    • @Zyborggian
      @Zyborggian 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +vZZenn Bland doesn't equal not heavy. He didn't really get into why the song didn't hit him and one can't help that regardless of the reasons... Glad you have an open mind about this record without Hannes being at the compositional helm anymore. Btw, what do you think of Alkaloid and Radial Covenant? just curious

    • @vZZenn
      @vZZenn 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Zyborggian I know bland doesn't necessarily mean heavy but I've come across tons of people who think that way which really bothers me when some one thinks just because it's not super heavy, it's bland and not good. But ya, I just made an inference Improbably shouldn't have.
      Personally Radial Covenant is slightly above this record for me and The Malkuth Grimoire is a great step above Radial Covenant. I mean you not only have Hannes but Danny, Christian, Linus, and Morean's vocals.
      Rating wise I'd give Akroasis(the album) a light 8/10 while Radial Covenant a strong 8/10 and I thought Alkaloids release was so good it deserved a sturdy 9/10. (I don't go around giving everyone 8's and 9's, I sincerely think these releases were that good.

    • @codyblanchard15
      @codyblanchard15 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not saying it wasn't heavy! I just like all the different types of grooves such as in songs like centric flow, Euclidean elements...etc. whereas akroasis felt like one big rhythm, more like a melodic death metal song. Of course it will take more listening, as I'm definitely getting this album. Everything takes time to grow on you, I'm speaking of just 1-2 times of listening

    • @vZZenn
      @vZZenn 8 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Tom (Fountainhead) is responsible for a lot of the leads and almost all the solos and the whole Weltseele track. Thank him not Steffen the asshole who almost didn't give Tom any credit for his work on the album and caused a huge scene

    • @Zyborggian
      @Zyborggian 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +David G. A. Go listen to the Radial Covenant. Like. Right now. Hannes Grossmann wrote like 80% of Omnivium. The Radial Covenant album consists of songs that WERE SUPPOSED TO BE on this record initially. And it's even proggier than Omnivium. You're welcome.

    • @Funnyyelowdog
      @Funnyyelowdog 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I read somewhere that steffen wanted more songs like anticosmic overload and hanes wanted progier songs like septuagint and that's at least part of the reason he left

    • @Zyborggian
      @Zyborggian 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      True. Its very much in terms of the depth of the song structure and arrangement and having more frantic "notey" parts, which are totally things Hannes explored further on Radial Covenant. But Steffen I imagine wanted the songs to catch on to the average listener and translate better live. As much as I love songs like Vortex Omnivium.... it doesn't translate well live... like at all.

    • @Zyborggian
      @Zyborggian 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** True but Prismal Dawn without him wouldn't exist. All of the chordal harmonies in that song were written by Steffen first and Hannes made it crazier.
      Steffen wrote the backbone of that song. Also almost all of Noospheres and a significant chunk of Anticosmic, Desolate and obviously all of Incarnated were him. He's way less prolific than Hannes (and so is Chris in extreme metal writing) but I honestly thought all of them are capable of writing gorgeous passionate melodies. And so is Tom. Thats why Im happy, even though it turned sour and downright ugly, he was able to give his touch on the new album.

      +Cory Dun (Loon313) It's funny you said that, because at the beginning I thought necrophagist - epitaph more than anything, like usually I don't like comparing songs but I felt the influence almost immediately, however that's just my interpretation.
