Hi MVB Outdoors! Thanks for the great video. I have a couple questions in regards to Enamel paints. I am currently working to refurbish a 12' 1990's windsurfing board. It's completely fiberglass and the hull needs to be repainted. I purchased Rustoleum Protective Enamel "flat" spray paint and wondering if I should use an acrylic based spray paint instead because its fiberglass? I am not sure whether the Enamel spray paint was the correct choice and I should have opted for the acrylic based. A lot of surfers are stating they use acrylic to paint their boards instead of enamel ? Which one is more waterproof? Does it matter? Any help would be super helpful!
I was really happy with it too -- I believe they have Matte Black/White, I'm not sure about other colors. I've liked the semi-gloss for most applications.
Do you have a preference between the two paints- top side vs the protective enamel? I am looking to do a similar project on a small 12ft boat. Love the channel
I would say for small 12ft the enamel would be a great choice. The topside is almost double the cost and the main difference I noticed was the glossiness. I'd save the money and use enamel if it were me. Plus its really easy to touch when for when you eventually bash it around.
@@jeffhenry9329 The Topside Marine was way more glossy and a little thicker. I didn't see any other specific differences. They both went on and laid down very smooth.

Good luck on your project, they're a lot of fun! Just don't buy too small on your first boat, you'll immediately want a bigger one! Trust me!

I'm impressed with the quality out of just a brush and foam roller. Do they sell matte finishes?

Anymore updates have been thinking about getting this paint then doing camo over it?
No issues with it so far but I haven't had it out on the water yet.
