They should give us the option to peel the bananas, eat them, and then toss the peel so that enemies and other players can slip on it.
I think that would fit very well into the "mischief" theme of Season 14.

I hope one of the traps is a spring that flings targets in the air. Someone tries to board my ship, boing, pirate is in the water.

Great idea and perfect for solo players. They would be easy to balance as well. Every time a trap is activated, it has to be reset.

The harpoon gun is gonna be a lotta fun. Imagine chilling on the big rocks, and when a ship comes by, you and your whole crew grapple right into their deck, like a western style hold up.
Or you could go full Batman, and stealth your way around. Paired with the recently released Throwing knives, we have Baterangs.
I wonder if you can bury an occupied chest.

i feel the harpoon gun is pretty balanced or base because you need to remember yes you can board easily but you only have one weapon slot that deals damage, whiles everyone else can blunder buss you and then finish you off with a sword, best you can do is keep stabbing them or shoot them and wait for reload, there is no combo
It’s going to need a fairly loud audio cue tho. Otherwise there’s little stopping you from using another crews weapon cabinet.

I taught of a way to make the harpoon gun more balanced and skill based.
It would be cool to make it shoot in an arc. Si if you are really close, you would have to use less skill, but is you mid/far away you would have to pre shoot and aim upward to arc the shot

A dart gun that can use technology way ahead of the time era where the already weapons in the game are from, might as well add full auto guns at that point
Agreed that Season 14 is the best update to this game has ever had. So much replayability for players who love the sandbox / adventure. Feels like after seasons and season of annoying / grindy stuff, the game is FINALLY getting back to its roots.
Let's hope it stays that way.

If the Harpoon-Gun goes live as we imagine, casuals will get shit on even harder than ever, as they lack the awareness to notice even regular ladders boards.

I doubt the harpoon gun will be that strong because you need to sacrifice one of your weapons to use it and with the new weapons that'll be a lot more of a sacrifice 😂
I really like the climbing in chests idea but who doesn't open and look in the chest before picking them up? this will be a strange one to pull off without being detected imo

I think we need someone to go over the Bonecaller at some point. I've seen people argue that the Bonecaller is the solution to the AI crew thing me and others have been wanting but I would argue it doesn't solve that what so ever. It is just another tool, that both sides can use, and if all they can do is attack, then they aren't really a crew. So maybe a theory about the possible uses the Bonecaller could have would be interesting. Until I get proof that they can do other things besides fight, I'll still argue for AI crew.
A part of me is kinda concerned about the traps and harpoon gun primarily the harpoon gun idk why I can’t put my finger on it
If they can keep the updates commin with more weapons and stats to make the game more skill based ill be playin a lot more. There is so much potential
Here’s hoping no potential traps include stuns or Immobilization. Boarding a ladder contested by a skilled crew is already an exercise in futility and hitreg. Being immobilized for a free blunder shit is going to be cancer.

They’re adding a harpoon gun and yet they still haven’t added a latine sail or gaff to any of the ships and the rigging is still less than unrealistic.
i think harpoon guns will be good as they are now. the simple fact that ur then restricted to 1 weapon is balanced

I couldnt even care less about season 12 let alone 14. I crashed probably 10 times last night in a 3 hour session. Hit reg is terrible again too. FAR from 9/10 shots register. PS players who preordered are going to be pissed.
