The saddest part is that it IS about somebody he's obsessed with and loves. His own mother, who was terminally I'll and this was written before her passing. Her death was incredibly painful for the entire group, being that 2 of them are brothers. Love for a partner is incredibly deep and powerful, now imagine losing your own mother to sickness.
Hearing the words and the sadness after knowing that makes it kind of hard to not get emotional listening too. Especially me, being an only child, raised solely by my mother.
