EvoSvex Yeah srsly, they are unlike your typical modern BR00TAL death metal doods, they are both very intelligent, creative modest musicians with tons of passion in they're music and they have really good and thought provoking messages in the songs too. Real role models
I'm just getting into them heavily, and I love Mario's drumming, he's a monster! Yet yes, so humble... in an interview he said that, in addition to an hour of steady 32nd note bass drums increasing in tempo for practice (which I can see, considering), he took 7 years of jazz drumming.. which I can also see, but still.. that's freakin awesome. Digging everything about the band, from the writing, to the musicianship, to the message, and their attitudes. Long Live Gojira! Favorite metal next to Krallice now, and Mick Barr's insane ass...
This guy writes some of the best lyrics I've ever heard. I'm consistently impressed by Gojira. They really are on another plane, where metal bands are concerned. "You have the power to heal yourself."
guitarist that are also lead vocalists are the best, adds a better dynamic to a band. He has no piercings or tattoos huh? Seems like a very clean band overall and of course their narrative being focus on the earth and environment.
What’s up with metal musicians being the most brutal people on stage but so humble and down to earth people when you meet them in person? Especially Joe, he seems like an awesome dude. I just saw my first Gojira show tonight and I’m still stunned by how good it was! He really got the crowd super hyped and there were mosh pits on every song! Great energy and great musicianship!
Me too... Hate social people... The weather is fine today, is that a new shirt you're wearing? Yeah right. Let,s fuck things up, and headbang till we die🏃
It's why I love Gojira. For me, along with Slipknot, they are one of my favorite bands. Both are able to do something super unique in their music. They will do something crazy on drums or guitar only when they need it, unlike most metal bands.
Joes thoughts at 5:38 are interesting. I never really thought about it like that but it makes perfect sense. Just being able to be as loud and aggressive as possible through something like music where it's a positive, not negative release of frustration would help deal with some emotions. I've personally never sung out loud ever, but it seems like such a cathartic experience and I'd love to learn to be a decent singer one day. Good interview, didn't know he had a bit of social anxiety. Partly explains his calmer demeanour off stage, he doesn't seem like an extrovert
What's the band shirt joe's wearing during the show? Can't quite decipher it. Yeah, I don't know many black metal bands, as I already fail at this font. XD Anyone wondering: kvelertak
"it was sold out!!!" like she could never believe that...."you got great reaviews!..." Eeeh..okay who the fuck cares. She´s the second swedish interviewer, and she´s almost as bad as the other one..skämmigt att vara svensk ibland. :P
(I know this is kinda old, but meh) I don't know what being skinny or thin has anything to do with being vegetarian. I mean, yes, you can lose a lot of weight because you get rid of most of the saturated fats, cholesterol, etc but that doesn't mean you're gonna get skinnier because you're vegetarian... Just look at freaking Doyle from The Misfits.
Joe seems such a nice guy, i never knew he was shy, he looks always so bad ass at the conserts. I'm so glad i discovered Gojira
him and his brother are the most humble humans on earth
EvoSvex Yeah srsly, they are unlike your typical modern BR00TAL death metal doods, they are both very intelligent, creative modest musicians with tons of passion in they're music and they have really good and thought provoking messages in the songs too. Real role models

"You have the power to heal yourself."
Plastic bag in the sea
Now i see those mounds of fear, feel the weight of nonsense kill simplicity
"We're all born from the burst of a star"
WHAAAAAAALLLLEEEEEEEES
When you change yourself, you change the world (Angry positive shit)
Joe you even not seems like a death metal vocalist here, so humble, no tattoo no piercing i like it
Joe is so adorable here. That shy side is very endearing.
And great job as usual Stephansdotter!
guitarist that are also lead vocalists are the best, adds a better dynamic to a band.
He has no piercings or tattoos huh? Seems like a very clean band overall and of course their narrative being focus on the earth and environment.
You don't need tattoos or drugs to be badass, it's in your talent what makes you great.
The best musician in Metallica is he only one without tattoos : Lars. Bad joke I know...
"Guitarists that are also lead vocalists are the best, it adds a better dynamic to a band." Yes, yes, yes!!! I agree 300%!

mikael from opeth to this day claims hes not a good singer
It’s called “stage performance mentality” 😉👍
Not one dislike. Ladies and gentlemen, that's Gojira for you.
6 now
6 dislikes after 5 years is still quite impressive
Edit: damn, it's 7 now

I feel you Joe.
You are my hero.
Me too... Hate social people... The weather is fine today, is that a new shirt you're wearing? Yeah right. Let,s fuck things up, and headbang till we die🏃
I relate
Having played live shows and also having anxiety I completely relate.
Weird Flex but ok...
Joe it's not even a human ! Viva Gojira !
I really respect how transparent, spontaneous and humble Joe is,
It's why I love Gojira. For me, along with Slipknot, they are one of my favorite bands. Both are able to do something super unique in their music. They will do something crazy on drums or guitar only when they need it, unlike most metal bands.
Awesome dude!! So humble And down to earth!
Awesome band !!
The best live band on the planet.

Joe est tellement humble et honnête. Je viens adore ça de lui.
Merci Gojira \m/
Love how candid he is. The host is hot.
Love all of what is happening here.
They were awesome at Tons of Rock. Such a great band.
I ship them!
Both of them got natural attraction ! Look at their body language
For some reason i really want to play videogames with him now
Props to the interviewer for letting Joe speak. Good job.
Joe' the man... His band is incredible🎼🎸
Good interview.
So many metal interviewers are awful but nice to come across an exception.
This is a great intreview!
These guys are amazing.
I fucking love gojira
Like I know they're both french, but jeez, I can only think that he sounds like xQc but deeper
Juicer in gojira comment section
"I've been trying for so long, but when I get on stage it doesn't work, THE SOUNDWALL!"
His english really improved jesus christ. Now you can hardly tell he's french
Sadly, I know how he's feeling. Other than that, this is by far the best vand out there right now. #GojiraMusic
Cant be more impressed
i love that brief moment when the camera focused on his hands
Haha that Kvelertak shirt!
I actually really like the version of Le Enfant Sauvage they use. Anyone know a link to a full version?
Curren Ficco im pretty sure its just little bit faster, because pitch is also there
And I thought joe was gonna scream at her like in the studio and live
"a bit exspensive" *moves to NYC* haha love gojira
What's the band shirt joe's wearing during the show?
Can't quite decipher it.
Yeah, I don't know many black metal bands, as I already fail at this font. XD
Anyone wondering: kvelertak
The interviewer is very attractive. It's actually distracting hahah
I agree
Not that attractive
Name of the journalist ?
What's the song at the beginning? I'm pretty sure it's off of l'enfant sauvage
+Denver Dubtle It's L'Efant Sauvage from the L'Efant Sauvage album ;)
L'enfant !!
What does he say at 6:35?
"Sometimes I wake up in the bunk and I don't know where I am and I don't know what's going on"
Thx
J'aime Joe et j'aime la journaliste suédoise.
She likes Opeth 😍

Joe's looking a bit thin. He needs to eat some food. Is he vegetarian?
+Horatio Huffnagel lol he looks fine
He looks healthy and normal
+James 1984 In fact, thats what i thought too in the new Video "Stranded" He really looks much more thinner in the new video :o
He is indeed vegetarian
(I know this is kinda old, but meh)
