In my humble opinion, Seegson sounds like a company with a heart of gold in comparison to Weyland-Yutani. Either that, or they know how to hide their dirty little secrets a hell of a lot better than W-Y. Good video.
I liked Seegson, it was fun to see other corporations exist within the Alien universe, and while eventually it was (spoilers) revealed we were fighting against Weyland-Yutani all along, for a while it was just interesting to see how a lesser corporation dealt with the Xenomorph.
One thing I enjoy about the Alien universe, is that companies use the founder's surname, primarily. Its so much better than some random or made up word (Amazon, Netflix, Facebook, SpaceX, etc). Funnily enough Ridley Scott directed that 1990s ad for "Apple". It makes a company stand out, in my opinion, using the founder's name, and gives it a sense of history. The automotive industry still uses surnames. Ford, Aston Martin, McLaren, Ferrari, Porsche, Dodge, Honda, etc.
Most people, when scared, look under their beds at night to see if there are Aliens there. The Aliens look under their beds to see if Alien Theory is there. LOL 😜
Great video, I absolutely love the detail Creative Assembly put into the lore for this game. Echoing others in saying that it would be cool to see you do a let's play/informative playthrough of the game sometime :)
They definitely packed in as much detail as they could, I'd love to see them follow up on Alien: Isolation but I think it's really a matter of how at this point, would they continue on Amanda's story or would they attempt to make a more Aliens like game? Of course Colonial Marines was a colossal wreck, but I think if they did things properly, they could make a very good game in the style of Aliens. Where it starts off with you and your squad then they all get picked off, then shortly after you'd be on your own, again.
What would be cool is a Seegson scout team and a weyland yutani scout team both stumble on an engineer pyramid full of ancient horrors and company rivalries are put aside in order to survive. We could explore more about the engineers and the ancient xenos and perhaps what the engineers did to other races they created or encountered.
Jacen, I did just that, howbeit in a different mode ;-) www.reddit.com/r/experiments/comments/6s1iy1/my_death_experience_finally/ you might enjoy that.
Alien Isolation is the best thing what happened to the Alien franchise since Aliens."APOLLO and the Working Joe. Working together for a safer, better connected Sevastopol."
I was always under the impression, from Alien Isolation, that Seegson, as a major competitor to Weyland-Yutani, was being sabotaged by the latter corporation. We know about WY's interest in the xenomorphs, and their potential use as a weapon, or other scientific/technological applications. But there was this feeling, from the pieces of info gathered on the terminals on Sevastopol, that what was happening on the station was orchestrated; that it was intentional. How did the original xenomorph(s) get aboard Sevastopol in the first place? The most likely culprit is their main business rival, Weyland-Yutani..
I love the Alien universe, and was pleasantly surprised playing Alien Isolation that the somewhat evil corporation was in fact not weyland. So yes I suppose I would like to see more of the Seagson company and what their role has been in this universe. Great video as always.
I would love to see more of this company, it had always been Weyland-Yutani, so I'm curious to see more on the company that was able to be powerful enough to be their competition.
I always imagined Seegson was the low budget version of Weyland-Yutani. The place you could get cheap knockoffs of the expensive products WY produced. Of course, in my headcanon Blade Runner is a part of the Alien universe. And the Tyrell Corporation is like the Microsoft to Weyland-Yutani's Apple (or vice-versa depending on your inclination). So I guess that'd make Seegson Linux. hehe.
I started on PS3. Didnt finish it, I was too scared. Bought it for PS4 and played it 5 times to get Platinum of the game. The game is scary and tense. Medical man....medical.....:|
Alien Isolation was one of my favourite games from 2014. The atmosphere and graphics were beyond amazing and spot on. Really captured everything that made the first movie so amazing. I beat the game 3 times and even got the Platinum trophy for PS4. I wish they had made a patch for PSVR, but I suppose that will never happen. I am really hoping for a sequel to this amazing game, but I'm not sure where they would go.
IGN obviously don't know quality. This game is the best fan service of the franchise ever. I admit it wasn't perfect, but if you stick with it the game seems to never end, and with the DLC pack you certainly get your money's worth. It took me ages to finish it. Perhaps they spent too much money making it, I think Sigorney Weaver's voice is used in the game which probably wasn't cheap and the shear amount of content probably cost them too much I suppose.
I feel like the best way to show Wey-Yu or Seegson more in-depth would be a television show. I don't know if we will ever get it, but I think that an Alien series is almost over due, really. Imagine a prequel series to Alien: Isolation (set on Sevastapol. Maybe end it right when Marlow and crew show up?), an isolation prequel chronicling Seeg and son purchasing Sevastopol, or something like that. Even something not really connected to Isolation, just about Seegson trying to compete with Wey-Y. Could be great!
We can even see today how mega corporations and military are working together. When our democracy finally tears itself apart. They're waiting in the wings to take charge.
I would love to see more of the mega corporations in the galaxy. WY has had so much screen time it would be great to see Seegson or any of the ones from the comics, on the big screen, or explored in more games.
love this channel mate. So I cannot for the life of me see any rational or logical reason to dislike this video. Those 4 people have never watched an Alien film or read any Aliens books or comics.
I found it interesting how an entire corporation like this pretty much operated and ran all internal and external space communications as well as manufactured synthetic robots like Wey-Yu did, in the series, for Sevastopol Station. It was never operated by the government. Nostalgia!
I absolutely adore Alien Isolation. It gives such a deep insight into the original Alien movie universe but from Seegson's perspective. I am waiting for the Alien Isolation 2 announcement....will it ever come?
Alien Theory, yes please. I'd love to hear more. All this information is turning the whole story into something real, with roots, if that makes sense. I'm beginning to think this is a real story. A 'history of our future' kind of thing. ;-)
I’m curious about whether or not Alien exists in the same Universe as Blade Runner, especially in light of Basel Runner 2049 when the Tyrell corporation no longer exists
Only 3 years late on the Isolation timeline. From what I read, a sequel to Isolation is scrapped because SEGA never really recovered from the ALIENS: Colonial Marines scam. (I still pray that Randy Pitchford suffers from a Facehugger) and as awesome Isolation is, it didn't sell too well because of the Sega-gearbox reputation.
It's possible there was some corporate espinoge between Seegson and WY, it is never really confirmed. It's merely hinted to throughout the story of Isolation, and also among all the log files found in the game on terminals and tape recorders. Like I say, it's possible. Merely hinted at, not denied at all mind you. But... not confirmed in any sense of the word.
finstrike7 Then why did Ripley tell Ricardo that Seegson sold out. Weyland-Yutani is in control of APOLLO! I personally think 🤔 that’s why the Androids when Crazy. In my opinion: Think about it Weyland-Yunti wants The Alien, Androids go Crazy when you try to get into Comms Control to contact the Torrens. Even Taylor was working with Marlow, she is looking after Weyland-Yutani interests. I think Weyland-Yutani did something to The Androids. Just my thoughts though.
The Alien franchise seems to not want to mention Seegson too much, perhaps so as to not confuse the viewer with having too many faceless entities. They already have to contend with Weyland-Utani. So, the movies seem to want the viewer to think that the androids are part of Weyland Utani.
I'd like to see some kind of Alien media, whether it be a game or a movie or even a book, where it's a crew hired by Seegson that gets wrapped up in Weyland's shady, alien stuff.
The Alien movies are famed for their anti-happy (or at least sub-happy) endings. Therefore, I'd love to see more of Seegson as the 'good' company, which eventually get's owned, bought or outright defeated by it's competition; the crooked Weyland-Yutani.
logged and yes! universe expansion is a needed and necessary tool in created worlds, the downside of the new alien movies is that Scott didn't travel far enough away from the original story and elaborate, people make the same argument about star wars...8 movies later we are still talking about darth vader and luke skywalker....really?...expand expand expand!
Professor Zoom wow I've watched it like a thousand times and never seen it. Thanks though. They're playing the movie in my cable service. I'll try to pay attention next time.
I am a huge fan of Alien, Aliens and Alien³ and the universe behind me fascinates me to no end. Your well-made videos do shed a lot of light onto these things, which is why I subscribed to your channel and have seen the majority of your content by now. However. The cookie-cutter like & subscribe begging as well as the usual list of the "find me on..." banter in every. single. video. really does more harm than good, in my opinion. You absolutely do not have to beg for likes or subscribers. If someone likes your content he will follow you to satisfy the desire to get more of that automatically. Even the most brain-dead person would do so, making the begging so very irrelevant, and honestly, a little pitiful. It gets especially annoying when one wants to binge-watch your content. Most of your videos are very short, which I welcome, but if a good chunk of every single video is the same ever repeating like & subscribe begging as well as the irrelevant information to make requests (people will do so anyways, even if you'd specifically ask not to do so) then it really hurts the quality of your content - again - in my opinion. Just wanted to get that off my chest.
Greet Alien Theory I'm your new subscriber, I wanted to know more about the name of the station "Sevastopol." Why was the station named that way? There is very little information on the Internet about this and it is very controversial. Sincerely.
Don't hold your breath for a sequel to the game, there is not going to one. Even though technically the game sold well and was very highly rated, Saga said the game did not have the sales it hoped for and that any sequels were now, because of their sales projects being so over inflated, basically boxed the game and any future it had away. Maybe they will pull it out of mothball in the future, but between Saga's stupid expectations, and reality, its a real shame this seems to be a dead game franchise at this point. I truly wish I was wrong on this, but you can dig around and find articles that deal with Saga's choices over the games sales and its future. Saga, as always, shooting itself in the foot.
In my humble opinion, Seegson sounds like a company with a heart of gold in comparison to Weyland-Yutani. Either that, or they know how to hide their dirty little secrets a hell of a lot better than W-Y. Good video.
Well, the only pieces of media that we have about them is the videogame and a few comics, while WY was shown since the first movie
I liked Seegson, it was fun to see other corporations exist within the Alien universe, and while eventually it was (spoilers) revealed we were fighting against Weyland-Yutani all along, for a while it was just interesting to see how a lesser corporation dealt with the Xenomorph.
Stingra87 It always goes back to Weyland-Yutani but I never thought about how Seegson sold out when playing the game though.
Am i the only one that kinda wants the Seegson "Working Joe" Droids to appear in the films at some point? Man those things are creepy.
Sam Weth
Exactly; agreed
Alien Isolation would translate so well into a film. It could have been the Rogue One of the Alien series
You Allways know a working Joe
Same dude!
Hazard containment breach logged.

With Seegson, there is someone behind you. Helping you.
every step of the way ...
WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?! LET ME HELP YOU.
Tut-tut.
YOU ARE BEING HYSTERICAL.
Strange
When you see a new Alien Theory you stop and watch it
bluestickman26 agreed
Yes I would.
"Why not ask me about Sevastopol's safety protocols?"
"You are becoming hysterical"
"Come with me please."
"Running causes accidents"
"Tut, tut"
"Something amiss?"
Legends say that Alien Theory himself fought a Alien Queen with nothing but a combat knife and lived.
bullshit it was a sharp stick
Knock it off, Derek. Alright, gear up!
Alien Theory I heard a rumor that you where infected by the pathogen, and lived is it true.
+Midway 1942 still collating on that one
Most people, when scared, look under their beds at night to see if there are Aliens there. The Aliens look under their beds to see if Alien Theory is there. LOL 😜

My second favourite corporation. Just after TriOptimum - "Military, Science, Consumer".
Yes I would love to see more from this Corp as well as a sequel to alien isolation
The prospect of traveling in space sounds so cool, enjoyed this video, it's out of this world! lol
Jacen, I did just that, howbeit in a different mode ;-) www.reddit.com/r/experiments/comments/6s1iy1/my_death_experience_finally/

I like mission 18 the best
After playing the first part where the Xeno came out, I was fuckinh scared and wasn't able to complete the game after months of not playing it.

A.T. Thank you for directing me here. Again;outstanding presentation,a real pleasure to watch. Keeping transmitting!!!
Thank you for watching. Further transmissions imminent. :)
Loved this video! Please do more videos on "Alien: Isolation" lore! Also would be very interested to see more on the Seegson co.
“Come with me please.”
I've been waiting for more alien iso related videos. This is great. keep it up!
Thanks to Sega and IGN we wont be seeing Alien isolation 2
Jay Dowg Damn. It would've been awesome to play or see another Alien: Isolation game.
Fuck them
Wait, what?? Why tf not?
Didn't make enough money apparently. Ign shite all over it in the review.

Another great video :) Keep it up my man 👍
I like to see more about other companies like the Alpha Tech Corperation from Aliens Coloinal Marines comic series and others.
“Your becoming hysterical.”
We can even see today how mega corporations and military are working together. When our democracy finally tears itself apart. They're waiting in the wings to take charge.
I'm glad this video is here. Never have time to read the logs in the game for the constant threat of death.
U keep it up bro i like your searching bro
“Tut, tut.”
This game is the definitive Alien experience. It blows anything in the cinematic canon to smithereens.
More vids like this please !
I'm still hoping Alien Isolation gets a sequel. That game is just ❤️
I would love to see more of the mega corporations in the galaxy. WY has had so much screen time it would be great to see Seegson or any of the ones from the comics, on the big screen, or explored in more games.
I find nothing worthwhile in a mega corporation which disregards human lifes over possibly of bigger profits.
love this channel mate. So I cannot for the life of me see any rational or logical reason to dislike this video. Those 4 people have never watched an Alien film or read any Aliens books or comics.
love the video, and I absolutely love Alien Isolation, it is my favorite Alien game to date.
yes! more Seegson, please.
ALIEN ISOLATION 2
Joseph Hoffman please!
Not coming say thanks to IGN and Sega for that.
I found it interesting how an entire corporation like this pretty much operated and ran all internal and external space communications as well as manufactured synthetic robots like Wey-Yu did, in the series, for Sevastopol Station. It was never operated by the government. Nostalgia!
Weyland Yutani-Apple
Seegson-IBM
Would you consider doing Predator lore videos?
+Frosty Venom definitely
hell yeah, but definitely enjoy all the Alien ones
Frosty Venom Predator Theory. Sister channel to Alien Theory.
“You and I are going to have a talk about,” why predators don’t belong in the alien universe. Maybe another one but not the alien universe.
I absolutely adore Alien Isolation. It gives such a deep insight into the original Alien movie universe but from Seegson's perspective. I am waiting for the Alien Isolation 2 announcement....will it ever come?
Would love to see a sequel to Isolation.
I hope Disney doesn't completely cap the Alien franchise off and allow it to go stagnant.
How do w-y and seeg FTL'S work? Is there any other media it can be compared to?
Making me want to replay this.
Nice to see some competition to Weyland, even though it isn't much it's something.
with the rich backstory of the Alien universe, A sequel is not only wanted but mandatory.
Hi. I'd be interested in the type of FTL drives ships in the Aliens universe use if there's any info out there.
Great video!
Maybe you could make a video on the way aliens breathe if they breath at all.
You mention the Shadows Trilogy, what exactly is that?
Nice video!
Hey, how about a quick vid about Jonesy? I think as one of only two survivors of the first movie he's kind of earned it.
Alien Theory, yes please. I'd love to hear more. All this information is turning the whole story into something real, with roots, if that makes sense. I'm beginning to think this is a real story. A 'history of our future' kind of thing. ;-)
Alien Theory. What do you think about the Bugs from Starship Troopers?
They are very cool and scary.
Did you all make it too the surface yet on alien isolation
Unidentified species... Logging report to APOLLO
_What are you?..._
Pedro Coimbra how u do that
I love this game so much
freeman1352 I wish my Brother never bought me this game.
Is Seegson also in Blade Runner?
you're becoming hysterical, let me help you
I’m curious about whether or not Alien exists in the same Universe as Blade Runner, especially in light of Basel Runner 2049 when the Tyrell corporation no longer exists
Thank you for shopping at Seegson~! 🤣
We need a video about the working joes one of the finest new additions to the alien franchise
+Cris Pires definitely, I'm working on one right now! :)
Alien Theory nice! You have an amazing channel keep it up and cross fingers for an alien isolation 2! Jaja
Yes I could like to know more
Very informative I enjoy Aien Expanded universe than S.W. Expanded great big.

Odd. I just started this again a few days ago.
Really, its the only alien game worth the name. And it is worth it
It's possible there was some corporate espinoge between Seegson and WY, it is never really confirmed. It's merely hinted to throughout the story of Isolation, and also among all the log files found in the game on terminals and tape recorders.
Like I say, it's possible. Merely hinted at, not denied at all mind you.
But... not confirmed in any sense of the word.

Not gonna lie: the retcon of seegson also being scummy (albeit a less far reach) is nice.
Quick side note. Seegson was not founded in 2034.
Yes.
Alien Theory do you know how many people were sent to that colony in Aliens? I just wanna know how many possible Xenomorphs were born.
saprissa9 There was a sign for Hadley's Hope that said "population 157" in Aliens.
Professor Zoom wow I've watched it like a thousand times and never seen it. Thanks though. They're playing the movie in my cable service. I'll try to pay attention next time.
So I'm guessing there must be around 120 to a 130 Xenomorph's in the colony.
Something amiss?
internetnavigator a What are you?
2019 - ALIEN: ISOLATION sequel arrives!..... for mobile devices only. WTF.
These old seegson models are so slow
Yes more corporate stuff would be great; weyland yutani controlling everything is not as interesting.

Too bad they were very bad at building Synethics :(
Honestly Seegson took things to far and used their full potential too early. I think that is why they kinda fell in popularity at the end.
