- As a foreigner in India I got a $0.60 street haircut and a $0.50 shave in an Indian slum in Mumbai by the busy railroad tracks. First time I experience an Indian barber and this will probably was the cheapest haircut of my life, now and forever. Met some of the greatest local Indian people while exploring Wadala.
That kid in the blue shirt was amazing he translated everything so correctly and didn't want anything in return and he never left your side....hope he does well in his life and becomes successful

Just want to appreciate the little who was there with you all the time. You could see how well he was raised when he was asked to get something for himself from the shop, all that innocence over his face!
I was impressed and should have just got him something since during sunset he disappeared before I could try to get him something else.

That peanut seller wasn't telling you the price of peanuts 🥜. He thought you are asking his daily income. His daily income was around ₹1000. Also the boys suggested to the shop owner to ask ₹1000 for the peanuts 🥜.
Ah man poor peanut man, he was the real deal while some of the boys were being mischievous. Miscommunication altogether but it happens.

Peanut seller said about his daily income after selling his peanuts.. He did not quote about single portion. Communication gap was there and those students also didn’t understand you asked about single portion or daily income that’s what they were discussing after that chat with peanut seller..

When you asked "How much for 1 portion?" (2:28), the guy (wearing white half shirt with blue spots, and a chain) behind the vendor told him "kitna paisa kama leta hai (how much do you make a day?)" That's what the vendor thought you asked. So, 1000 was not the price for 1 portion, that's what he earns a day.

I wanna tell you that the festival of HOLI starts from tomorrow. It's a two days festival.
Day- 01:- Holika Dahan (More of a Traditional or Ritual kind of celebration). Different parts of India celebrate differently but signifies the Victory of Dharma over Adharma (Iniquity)
Day- 02:- Here's the real celebration and fun begins. Loud Music, Some Non-alcoholic Drinks, Flying Colours, People Dancing, puting colors on each other, people sharing Holi specific sweets (Gujiya) ..This actually happens in North India. But am sure South Indian Holi is also quite good..

@@MadlyRover the festivals in India are celebrated according to the Hindu Calendar which works according to the formation and position of the earth, moon and other planets in our solar system.
Since the Earth completes the rotation around it's axis in 23 Hours and 56 minutes...so those left 04 minutes adds up. Hence such weird combination of timing for festivals ( in India) takes place.
