Glad you bought this up today about hair loss…mine is thing out ..I’m 70..thank god I was born with a good crop..now I’ll continue in listening to your advice.❤
This helped me. I am a menopausal female. This is advice I’ve gotten from other plant-based doctors. 1. Omega 3/6 ratio 2. Low Ferritin 3. Low Zinc 4. Low Iodine. I’ve corrected these things and my hair is not coming out by the handfuls anymore.
Thank you for the common sense apprach to thyroid medication! I have Hashimotos and it's just a fact that I will have to take it for the rest of my life. Doesn't mean a good diet doesn't help me feeling better overall, it does! But that doesn't mean I don't need my medication. There are so many "thyroid/hashimoto influencers" out there selling you the dream of getting off your medication, all while actually sellng you their expensive courses and supplements.
Many of us have optimized TSH, yet years later, hair loss NEVER reversed. Not related to diet, not related to other hormones which are fine, yet hair loss still happening no matter what we do after hypothyroidism. This is a huge problem that needs more research.
Thank you for such informative content. I always learn so much from your videos. Please continue sharing all your life’s work & experiences. You’re a blessing to so many people.
I know women eating fast food most of the times and one person who has cancer and went through chemio; all of them have luxurious hair. It is not only men but also women who have androgenetic alopecia. It is time to normalize this condition as we did for men, and stop using terms such as "disease". Women who suffer from this condition have gone trough a difficult time to accept themselves and do not want to carry a social stigma. However, in my opinion, there is something fundamental not discussed: toxicity in our water and food. This can be relevant and maybe some bodies react differently than others.
Kiki lost her hair on a plant based diet. The maximum starch based diet. She said she took extra vitamins and it came back. Why would someone on a plant based diet lose their hair ?
I did also - eating vegan 1 1/2 lbs raw cruciferous daily. Besides flax and chia, also fruit and other raw veggies. 70% of my hair fell out - traumatized! 2 years later no regrowth.
@@barrysieg well I hopd McDougall can answer this question because I need to know. I don't only think it has to do with eating meat. I think it's something else as well. I'm losing a little bit of my hair too.

@@barrysiegI eat this way too due to Dr. Goldner’s advice and thank God this solved my hair loss and I was able to get rid of my animal based Collagen. But I’ll tell you the name of my animal based collagen if you’re not opposed to trying it because it did solve my hair loss problem before I started hypernourishing and eating starch based. The Collagen I used prior to the changes was Modere’s skin formula. That Collagen stopped the fall out and regrew my hair after it had been falling out in chunks. I’m glad that I don’t need it anymore but I wouldn’t hesitate to use it again if I had to!
Can anyone tell me what instant brown rice is please…I bought Dr McDougalls quick and easy cookbook ages ago and forgot all about it until I was looking through my ebooks. I could live off most of his recipes,so easy, I love rice, potatoes, and pasta but not too fond of beans. I’m Australian so we don’t have all the products here , is he talking about the rice you buy in the packets and heat up in the microwave? And are they healthy? Thank you.
I can't prove it, but current thyroid numbers for me are a lot better than they were 3 years ago. I had started on 5,000 IUs of vitamin D just after the old blood tests. I suspect the D has helped my thyroid to heal.

I appreciate the wisdom and experience of this man so much. He certainly keeps me slim and trim - without ever going hungry.
Thank you. These Sunday nights are fabulous! So informative.

Check out Dr. Brownstein and get one of his thyroid books at your local library! Wonderful info on hashimoto and hypo.

Minoxidil is for female pattern baldness too.
Yes, unfortunately it does not work and has side effects.
In my experience, a plant-based diet also helps a lot with thyroid problems.
Much Appreciated!! Thank You For All Your Expertise!
Thank you for again an informative session
Low Ferritin can cause hair loss as well.
Always a good Morning on Monday waking upto these beautiful people

I agree on the toxicity of our water and some foods

I use men's Minoxidil. My dermatologist says it's ok.
It does not work and has side effects.
Minoxidil is a nightmare for the average woman.
@@dharma__3 like what? I don't have any issues but I'm post menopausal.

Bell's palsy from the jabs.
