It didn't help that she fell down stairs in her home and broke her back, neck and hips and injured her brain. This would've left anyone on less shape to fight off toxins, which cause cancer.
Unfortunately, she followed a high fat, high protein diet. She also took many supplements, and received human growth hormone injections. She appeared to be a wonderful person, but unfortunately picked the wrong group of doctors to advise her.

@deedeesmith3073 Yes and no. I have no genetic markers for any type of cancer and have been eating and using organic and vegan mostly products for the past 40 yrs. Actually, cancer scientists and specialists have recently published that only less than 10% of all cancers have a genetic component. So, it is more diet and environmental than genetic, where just 1, or any combination of 2 or all, can be contributors. I would say that family clusters of disease coke not from genetics, but a shared emotional and physical environment, ie a toxic family member who causes everyone else around them to be constantly stressed and therefore, ij a constant state of physical and emotional inflammation. Or, they are living in a shared toxic environment. I agree with Dr. McDougall about osteo arthritis. I'm not a doctor but My experience was that when I ditched the fat except for 1/4 cup a day of raw nuts, seeds, avocado, and fat found in legumes, grains, fruit, and vegetables, mushrooms, and sea vegetables (look up sea vegetables with safe iodine levels), my osteo-arthritis disappeared along with all my other pain like migraines, sciatica, etc.I started to eat the McDougall way to get rid of my migraines and to lower my cholesterol because I resemble my mother, and she went from a life of pain similar to mine (migraines along with other aches and pain), and then after menopause she no longer had migraines but started to have heart attacks, heart by-pass surgery, etc when she was older than 65. My eyesight has improved so much that I no longer need glasses, which I had worn since the age of 9.I no longer have acne. I had acne up until I started to eat this way. I'm 72 now. It was the fat clogging up everything, I believe.
Another this that has helped me eat most of my food as raw food. I've lost about 50 pounds since my highest weight and have no problem keeping it off, without being hungry. Also, I rarely have food cravings since I started to eat as many greens as I could fill up with. I'm lucky that I like dark, leafy greens and most other foods so this has been easy for me. Finding a healthy dip (I now use crushed tomatoes as a dip {I use canned when fresh are out-of-season}) has been helpful to eat the many greens and low-density veggies. Also, it helps to get the veggies in early in the day when I am hungrier.

Hope you can reply. You said that magnesium can cause heart problems, yet I was told to use magnesium to help the bowels. I’m confused, and don’t want to do something that could potentially be harmful. What should I do?
2015 article title: Oxalate induces breast cancer. "We found that all tested breast tumor tissues contain a higher concentration of oxalates than their counterpart non-pathological breast tissue. Moreover, it was established that oxalate induces proliferation of breast cells and stimulates the expression of a pro-tumorigenic gene c-fos." Notice how it says all tested, not some, or might, or maybe or perhaps, or sometimes, but all. What foods are highest in oxalates?
Being called back for a mammogram and my provider wanting a biopsy brought me to this channel but when I tell you this man who is speaking is very knowledgeable I assure you especially when he speaks of cow's milk and the estrogen I could barely eat a bowl of cereal a few days in a row or ice cream and it will cause me to have a period instantly and I knew the result it became clear that the milk was causing me to have extra heavy bleeding if there's any women listening to this I urge you to please stay away from cows and help and other things that he stating because he's very knowledgeable in everything he is saying is very very true. I am extremely shocked they have not taken this down but I think that they believe that people won't believe him and it's not a huge threat to BIG PHARMA.. This man is telling us the absolute truth!!!!!!
I hardly drink cow's milk and find this interesting. I do love ice cream but it's occasional treat. Now I will avoid it or limit it. Makes sense. I had bc pills from 32-52 and mammograms so I blame synthetic progesterone from the pills (mare's urine) and radiation from mammograms as well as harmful pressing of tissues therein.
Great info. I just had another breast biopsy done last week. I hope the results come back fine. I am trying to follow Dr. McDougall nutrition recomendations for the last few years. Update: My results came back good. It is fiberadenoma.
I’ve been WFPB for 6 years , 61 years old and found a lump a year ago. Finally got tested and have Invasive Ductal Carcinoma . “Small” and doc says I could do lumpectomy but only if I do radiation and of course follow w tamoxifen. I also have osteoporosis 😢. My grandmother had BC twice - first did lumpectomy and chemo then 8 years later returned and did mastectomy. Then a few years later had GI cancers - stomach, esophagus, pancreas. Hard to decide what is best but I’m not doing radiation or tamoxifen.
I didn't catch whether or not Dr. McDougall recommends a mammogram. Does he recommend one or a sonogram? If I am doing WFPB with no oil, should I get one or not? If I hear him correctly, he's saying not to get it, right?
Where I live, they won't do a breast ultrasound without first doing a mamogram, even if your doctor orders one. Unbelievable how testing companies are now telling you what kind of tests you can have or not have. I don't want manograms.
After Lobular cancer, lumpectomy, results came back with a satellite cancer cell, not sure if margins are clear now. should one have another surgery, or find out if there is indeed more cancer? What type of cancer screening would be best for this situation?
Diagnosed ILC 2 b with lymph node involvement. Had mastectomy but was told not clear margins. I had 36 days of radiation and been taking anestrzole. Wondering what else I could do. Thanks for your information
Completely agreed with the above comment, too many carbs. Carbs are the killer, and to a lesser extent this includes fruit and fructose, a direct toxin on the liver no different than ethanol. The plant-based diet is insanity in action. We are mammals with a GI tract that is 90 percent similar to pure carnivores (felines) and thus our diets should be 90 percent animal based. The notion that man at the top of the food chain should being eating a diet of plants which are the antithesis of nutrient density, is a first world problem created by those that ignore science. Carbs are the main problem. Control your carbs as the insulin spike increases inflammation, autoimmune issues, and is a growth stimulus for tumor cells
Try dr. mcDougall's advise and switch to a starch based diet. Mind you, what's already calcified will not heal as that's scar tissue, but you shouldn't get new problems of this nature.
@@learn-when-you-stop-talkingpolitely and respectfully, you look like a newcomer to the program, and you've been listening to low carb propagandists. Not trying to besmirch you here, just saying factually. The longest living populations on Earth eat copious complex carbohydrate, and fructose in whole fruits, the Blue Zones populations. It's worth a study of Dr M's presentations or similar medics, on many levels. Hope you can - so much available free on YT and on the website.
I love these videos and learn so much. Yet, I am in despair that triple negative breast cancer is never talked about. I have a reoccurrence after 4 lumpectomies- 2 on each side, and radiation on the left side 4 years ago. I am scheduled for a bilateral mastectomy in July 2024. I went totally plant based vegan after being inspired by McDougall's work with Ruth Heinrich. The DCIS is in several sites on both breasts. Any comment on Negative, High Grade Breast Cancer would be much appreciated. Thank you!🙏🏽
If you are experiencing symptoms, pain and worried you may have breast cancer or something going on, then should one try getting an ultrasound? I just doing want to end up like the untreated slide you showed. Not a fan of radiation or chemo either so i just need to know whats left as far as options. I'm changing my diet of course.
We already know what we would do, even before watching this. No mammograms in our family. Not the great grandma or the grandma or the mom or the daughter
@@GreaterisGreat Thanks for asking. Nothing. We are not afraid of cancer. The body makes cancer naturally and everyone has some cancer cells in them. Sometimes the diagnostic tests are insult to the body and can irritate it more. Mammograms are not easy on the breasts. Personally we've seen lumps come and go. We don't even palpate, there's no reason to, unless you're willing to go all the way to lumpectomy or more. As I said, in our experience they disappear on their own. We're out of the mammogram/breast cancer paradigm completely. I'm happy to answer any other questions. Edit: We also have faith in God for healing.
@sl4983 and yes, faith is of importance, because I to believe that God is a healer of all things🙏 What about annual pap smears? Do you all get paps done? If no, will you explain why you don't? About 2 years ago, I became more curious as to why females are told that paps are a must. Such an uncomfortable thing for a stranger to probe another person's vaginal area. There must be another way for females other than that. Also, do you and your family eat meats? Is there anything that you do differently to help your bodies to stay naturally healthy? Thanks again for your response.
I’m confused. You said women in Japan with breast cancer who eat a lot of soy lived longer, but then you don’t recommend soy for women with breast cancer. Have I misunderstood?
some study suggests that if you grew up eating soy (Japanese women), it is likely protective but if you didn’t, there may not be the same benefits. FWIW
I can't get off proton pump i., they have taken tagamet or other brands off shelf so theres nothing to transition to in Sydney 🇦🇺 Australia but i get back o. Your diet, i go off when stressed and depressed!😂i have no gallbladder!😂😂❤
Benefiber is a PRE-biotioc, soluble fiber. Dr. Will Bulciewicz recommends it. I'm Very Low SOS WFPB and started doing what he does - two heaping tsp in my 50-50 coffee in the morning. Super regular, needless to say - and if it keeps my microbiota happier, I'm all in!
I can't believe he just told someone that their low C-peptide means they probably have type 1 diabetes and have pancreas damage!!! Mine is even lower than the person who asked that question but my pancreas is normal, no diabetes. You need to know that the "normal range" is not based on healthy people. It's an average based on the crappy American diet, so it expects that you are eating 180 pounds of added sugar and 150 pounds of wheat per year. If you don't eat that crap, your body will not be required to provide so much insulin, so your c-pep will be much lower than the average range. And you will feel so much better!!

I thought we had a natural immune system to fight viruses 🤔 I also thought that once your immune system has fought it off that you would have natural immunity 🤔 If plant based food cures/heals you and makes you stronger, then why would you fear getting sick and why would you need vaccinations with artificial stuff in them? 🤔 doesn't really make sense. Surely you will be far healthier and stronger to fight them off. I love your videos though and the rest of your advice re plant based eating. Thankyou for sharing these ❤
Look up Menopause Taylor she's a vegan gynaecologist and does alot of really great videos on HRT and breast cancer. I was concerned about that too, but many Menopause experts say it's very low risk, diet and lifestyle have more risk factors eg. alcohol, animal foods, obesity etc 😊
Dr McDougall comes across so demeaning when he talks about fat. I have struggled with weight since childhood. I have been fasting 20 hours a day, eating one meal a day, and it still comes off slow. Over the years I have eaten a low fat Whole Foods plant based diet and the weight still comes off very slow or not at all. Dr McDougall’s son is my primary doctor and he doesn’t know how to help me. Please be more to people who struggle with weight.
I loose fat slowly too. If Dr. McDoogle's son doesn't know then that is saying something. I know I have the best results when I eat as much WFPB, SOS free, raw vegan. I'm fortunate because I like salads and fruits and veggies a lot. I even like mushrooms, now. I love dark, leafy greens as well as long as I have a little miso or even canned crushed tomato to dip it in.
I'm sorry you feel that way. I would recommend eating more than one meal a day. I think you will find that you do better eating smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day, rather than filling up on one large meal per day. Are you eating a 50/50 plate? Do you get some daily activity? Slow weight loss is still weight loss. You will get there.
Also, walking with a weighted vest helped me lose a lot of weight even before I was WFPB. I started with an 8 pound vest and gradually worked up to 20 pounds over 2 years. Then I added another 20 pounds gradually. Now I get along with 20 pounds, walking 20 minutes every few days. I started to do this because of osteopenia, but it also helped cure my migraines, I believe, and also helped me shed about 40 pounds. Now with WFPB, SOS-free diet (I do use a little miso), and walking with weights, and a 20 minutes of kettlebell work every 3rd day or so (I use a Fitness Blender beginners routine on TH-cam), I don't have a problem with weight like I used to. I think it may be because it revved up my metabolism. I had to work up to heavier weights gradually so that my knees, etc could also bear the weight gradually!! Good luck with whatever you and your doctor decide will work because every body is different.
He’s all over the place! I would say he’s not on point with what he says. Our bodies need sex hormones from saturated fats. Get rid of seed oils and processed foods, and sugars they wreck the body in a big way. Eating beef, raw butter, fruits, eggs. Are healthy. Everyone should be taking iodine for men helps with prostrate for woman helping with breast tissue and ovaries. A lot of plants block absorption of iodine causing people to have thyroid issues. The pituitary gland, which is at the base of the brain needs healthy fats to function. I was on thyroid for hypo changed my eating to an animal based diet off the thyroid meds. I’m also 45 and have been on HRT since 35. I was estrogen dominant my estrogen was 900 I’m now at 30 b/c of being in HRT. If I wouldn’t have been on HRT, I would’ve had breast cancer because I had the bad estrogen from eating low fats, high carbs, and lots of vegetables and living on chicken and turkey. Hormones are a huge part on how our body is going function. Magnesium lol what increases the risk heart disease… oh my! Ugh… heard enough. Red flags here! Do your research and listen to your body!
Is anyone here coming down with the Newer Covid? I’m WFPB low oil.. but got Covid for 2nd time since 2021... and this mutation seems as bad as that 1st version.. maybe worse. Just wondering if anyone else here getting it?
You’re sick because you are plant-based. Your diet is likely lacking in animal proteins and connective tissue precursors that the human body needs. This plant-based nonsense will be looked at in 100 years as a mass fallacy of the 21st century. Complete delusion, selective cherry picking of the evidence, and ignorance of basic science and comparative anatomy. Utterly bonkers.
I used to work in a COVID assessment clinic - a favourite saying of one clinician was 'it homes in on your vulnerabilities'. That may or may not be true for all - but it seemed true for some. WFPB doesn't make you invulnerable, and we all have existing health vulnerabilities, minor, moderate or major. Hope WFPB is then getting you through COVID as best as can be 🤞

You're obviously not aware that he died in June 2024.

The Mayo Clinic now recommends that men avoid dairy to avoid prostate cancer.
Hi. I agree. I can’t drink cow milk either. And I too have to get a biopsy next week. Did you get yours done? Hope all is well.
Dr McDougall you look great! Love that shirt. Tell Mary I hope she feels better.
Where can we find out about Dr MacDougals diet?
Great info. I just had another breast biopsy done last week. I hope the results come back fine. I am trying to follow Dr. McDougall nutrition recomendations for the last few years.
Update: My results came back good. It is fiberadenoma.
Best wishes

I’ve been WFPB for 6 years , 61 years old and found a lump a year ago. Finally got tested and have Invasive Ductal Carcinoma . “Small” and doc says I could do lumpectomy but only if I do radiation and of course follow w tamoxifen. I also have osteoporosis 😢.
My grandmother had BC twice - first did lumpectomy and chemo then 8 years later returned and did mastectomy. Then a few years later had GI cancers - stomach, esophagus, pancreas.
Hard to decide what is best but I’m not doing radiation or tamoxifen.
@@allysonmccormack5529 I am so sorry. Hang in there, big hugs to you🤗🤗🤗
@@allysonmccormack5529we stay away from all that stuff. No symptoms whatsoever but we don't go looking for it either.
I found aromatase inhibitors the worst part of my BC treatment, I didn’t have chemotherapy. I had to stop taking the drugs, I felt so awful
Dr.McDougall, can you please do a video on ADH and DCIS.
I didn't catch whether or not Dr. McDougall recommends a mammogram. Does he recommend one or a sonogram? If I am doing WFPB with no oil, should I get one or not? If I hear him correctly, he's saying not to get it, right?
I think he doesn’t recommend as a routine
@@miriamalonso3959I would agree with him
Where I live, they won't do a breast ultrasound without first doing a mamogram, even if your doctor orders one. Unbelievable how testing companies are now telling you what kind of tests you can have or not have. I don't want manograms.
@@deeandrews7051 That's ridiculous. I do believe that cancer and medicine as a whole is a huge money-making industry and I don’t trust the system.
That’s corrrecr as per Dr M, no mammograms
Love the beard!
Speaking of prescribed thyroid supplement, are they underrated?
After Lobular cancer, lumpectomy, results came back with a satellite cancer cell, not sure if margins are clear now. should one have another surgery, or find out if there is indeed more cancer? What type of cancer screening would be best for this situation?
Diagnosed ILC 2 b with lymph node involvement. Had mastectomy but was told not clear margins. I had 36 days of radiation and been taking anestrzole. Wondering what else I could do. Thanks for your information
I agree with alot the doc says but not all.
Hi DR Mcdougall is it normal for a 56 year old male to have atherosclerotic calcification in the aorta? what to do to reverse?
It's pretty normal.
A starch based diet of course
@@learn-when-you-stop-talking Yes 9 meters vs 1,5 meters is pretty much the same!

Brilliant ❤
I love these videos and learn so much. Yet, I am in despair that triple negative breast cancer is never talked about. I have a reoccurrence after 4 lumpectomies- 2 on each side, and radiation on the left side 4 years ago. I am scheduled for a bilateral mastectomy in July 2024. I went totally plant based vegan after being inspired by McDougall's work with Ruth Heinrich. The DCIS is in several sites on both breasts. Any comment on Negative, High Grade Breast Cancer would be much appreciated. Thank you!🙏🏽
Water fasting and dry fasting and thc and cbd and also steamed broccoli 🥦
If you are experiencing symptoms, pain and worried you may have breast cancer or something going on, then should one try getting an ultrasound? I just doing want to end up like the untreated slide you showed. Not a fan of radiation or chemo either so i just need to know whats left as far as options. I'm changing my diet of course.
We already know what we would do, even before watching this. No mammograms in our family. Not the great grandma or the grandma or the mom or the daughter
@sl4983... if none of you have mammograms done, what do you do for your annual mammogram checks? Thanks 😊
@sl4983 thank you so much for responding ❤️
@sl4983 and yes, faith is of importance, because I to believe that God is a healer of all things🙏
What about annual pap smears? Do you all get paps done? If no, will you explain why you don't? About 2 years ago, I became more curious as to why females are told that paps are a must. Such an uncomfortable thing for a stranger to probe another person's vaginal area. There must be another way for females other than that.
Also, do you and your family eat meats? Is there anything that you do differently to help your bodies to stay naturally healthy? Thanks again for your response.
@@GreaterisGreatsuper uncomfortable. Totally agree paps wish there was another method.
When are u live
what if the breast cancer is in 4 or 5 different places.... Is it possible to remove all those lumps or is chemo the only option then?
I’m confused. You said women in Japan with breast cancer who eat a lot of soy lived longer, but then you don’t recommend soy for women with breast cancer. Have I misunderstood?
some study suggests that if you grew up eating soy (Japanese women), it is likely protective but if you didn’t, there may not be the same benefits. FWIW
❤thanks
I can't get off proton pump i., they have taken tagamet or other brands off shelf so theres nothing to transition to in Sydney 🇦🇺 Australia but i get back o. Your diet, i go off when stressed and depressed!😂i have no gallbladder!😂😂❤
Suzanne didn’t take tamoxifen either. But I don’t think that gave her reoccurrence
She did do a lot of hormones
Please comment on women who choose to remove ovaries instead of using chemo or tamoxifen type drugs

how about hemp oil?
Benefiber is a PRE-biotioc, soluble fiber. Dr. Will Bulciewicz recommends it. I'm Very Low SOS WFPB and started doing what he does - two heaping tsp in my 50-50 coffee in the morning. Super regular, needless to say - and if it keeps my microbiota happier, I'm all in!
What’s WFPB?
Whole food plant based
I can't believe he just told someone that their low C-peptide means they probably have type 1 diabetes and have pancreas damage!!!
What's reptile poisoning? Is that something in that drug?

Oh, I thought Suzanne Somers ate more vegetarian. I did hear recently she used more natural cleaners in her house.
Too many plastic surgeries, too much chemical cosmetics, too much diet soda and the list goes on.
She ate lots of meat

I'm not sure she really exercised very much either. Not like Jane Fonda etc

If we do the program did dr Mcdougall say he doesn’t really participate any more ?
He is very much involved in the program. He hosts a chat every morning with the patients in each course and gives a series of 5 lectures throughout the 12 days. We also host a twice monthly chat for all graduates of the 12-day program.
If you screen someone repeatedly with a 10% false positive rate, statistically they will test positive, sooner than later.
He is LYING!!!!! My Grandma had breast cancer in 50’s and they did what described early 1900’s! Cut part of her arm out too!!! Your timeline is off Doc sorry
I had my cancer removed, but didn't do radiation either! I treated my cancer holistically!
I’ll never do low fat or vegan. Carnivore for life!
That might be short
He must really hate the traditional Eskimo diet.
Are babies fed on formula from birth chubbier than on breast milk? And are they as healthy?
Some might be chubbier but breast is ALWAYS best
Our breastfed baby was a little chubber!
When I worked for a company that made baby formula, I was told that Baby Formula causes infants to be chubbier than breastfed infants. I was told this about 10 years ago.
Thankyou for sharing these ❤
So is HRT safe or not?
That's a very general question. There's different kinds.
Suzanne Somers was also on HRT for many years. Was this possibly the cause of her cancer to return? I’m currently hearing mixed information about HRT.
Estrogen saved my bones
The fat comes spilling out when a surgeon makes a cut? 😯Didn't know that
I find this seriously overly graphic and disturbing.

Eat your starches but bulk up on non starchy veggies too aim for a pound
Dr McDougall isn't the best communcator. He's so exasperated as he speaks.
With all this amazing info for free and all the work he clearly put in I don’t care about delivery
100 percent!!!
But potatos today arę not the same. And you not gain weight because salt???
Utterly bonkers.
just got covid...also wfpb very low sos...seemed like a mild cold.
No covid ever for me. WFPB, very low sos
Hope WFPB is then getting you through COVID as best as can be 🤞
People who have been getting the vaccine and boosters are more vulnerable to the virus and it’s symptoms.
