    Honestly, the single sided swing arms are a nightmare if you ride a lot...the bearings are inside of the hub and the entire hub has to be replaced ($750) as opposed to double sided swingarms, where the bearings are located inside the wheel (rim) and cost $40...anybody that rides, by ride I mean 1,000 miles a month, should either avoid the single sided swingarm super bikes...ducati 848 series and 916 series bikes...the multistrada is the only single sided swingarm I would recommend because its meant to ride longer distances, so your tendency for replacement is much lower....I see multistradas bearings being replaced at 30,000 miles, but the job will still cost a ton of money...because u still buy the hub.

      The 696 does not have a single sided swing arm though, correct? I'm looking at picking up an '09 but I don't want maintenance to absolutely kill me.

      Pretty sure the end of the video just answered my question, video was taking forever to load on my limited data.

    Not a fan of your mods except for the carbon pieces thats really nice! Why did you CUT off the passenger pegs ?!

    • @TheJudge64
      @TheJudge64  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did not, the previous owner cut them off for some reason and I eventually replaced the rear sets with non cut, powder coated black ones

    Brother i have the same bike where did you get all the carbon?

    What brand clip ons are those? Love your work with the top triple clamp by the way.

      @TheJudge64  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jackson Calman thank you, they are off a 2009 r6, 50mm clip-ons from any bike should do plus they are cheaper

    Who did u get the exhaust black? Is that a wrap or did u take the somewhere to be done?

    • @TheJudge64
      @TheJudge64  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I painted them with exhaust paint, just masked off the tips and painted them. Held up very well

      Michael Trading not sure mine didn’t come with one, if you watch my headlight bulb change video you can see how I disassembled the front cluster area of the bike, might help you!

    Can you tell me the pros and cons of the m696? and if you recommand the bike to others?

    • @TheJudge64
      @TheJudge64  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      GSX-R 125 overall it’s a great bike, just make sure if you do get one that it has service records no matter the mileage. It’s a little difficult/ not comfortable on highway rides that are over an hour long but other then that it rips. Good amount of aftermarket parts support and it’s easy to work on compared to other bikes. Overall I would recommend for sure!

    • @tibiaxd
      @tibiaxd 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Okay, thanks for the information, I think alot of bikes are not comfortable on the highway, as a passenger on the BMW GS 1200, it also isnt comfortable for 1 hour, Even tho its made for touring its not really that comfortable. Ty for the information again!

    Are those spools also on your front wheel or sliders? I was able to find spools only for the back wheel of my 696. Can't find them for the front wheel.

    • @TheJudge64

      Marco73 yeah they are, I bought generic ones online and used an all thread to have them bolted through the axel

    How does it ride with the clip ons

    • @TheJudge64
      @TheJudge64  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bagy H worked great, they were off a 09 r6 and didn’t require any modifications besides new holes for the switches which is quick

    I am always entertained by the remove before flight laynard cyclists use. You can tell they are not pilots.
