    I have made these pancakes 10 times!!
    My family loves this, I do a few alterations , i add 2 tsp of vanilla , I add some cinnamon and brown the butter,
    Omg is an understatement 😋🥞
    Thanks so much Sarah

    Sooo yummy, I made this today and I felt like I was in heaven- so tasty. I substituted with almond milk, added vanilla and cinnamon to the pancake batter. I am happy I was able to use my older apples to avoid food wastage!!

    Okay, question.
    Wouldn’t there be chunks of flour if you don’t mix well?

    • @rufusred44
      @rufusred44 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the moisture expands and evaporates as you cook them. Here's a general tip when making pancakes, after making the batter, let it rest for 10-15 minutes. That way, the raw flour will absorb some of the moisture before you start to bake them.

    Can I fold the apples into the batter before cooking them? Or just totally omit them?

    • @guyfieri7504
      @guyfieri7504 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can make these without for sure! You could also add in your other favorite fruits! (dried cherries, cranberries, fruits that don't leak juice everywhere would be best)

      Perhaps you could sauté them a little in butter or avocado oil before adding them to pancake. That’s what I’m going to do.

      Don't overwork/over mix, and let the batter rest like 10-15 minutes prior to cooking.

    Pancakes can be pretty healthy breakfast but people ruin it by adding cream, butter, maple syrup, chocolate syrup, honey and all that stuff. Just keep it simple, use healthy flour, fruits have natural sugar that is enough and home made apple sauce will work, also you can add a little cinnamon powder and good to eat.

    • @Gonzxpush3r
      @Gonzxpush3r 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      orrrrr you can do whatever you want and cook it as you like

    • @rufusred44
      @rufusred44 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I get your point, when I make pancakes I usually sub out the melted butter in the recipe for safflower or a tasteless vegetable oil. But when I'm eating them, it is butter and maple syrup I top them for me. I also will macerate strawberries in a little, yes, sugar and balsamic vinegar as an added treat.

  • @drew2pac
    @drew2pac 11 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    Cool, vid. But from a health point of view - sugar is a much much worse than fat. Never understood this low-fat stuff. Spend 2 weeks eating bacon and eggs, and 2 eating candy - and see what i mean....

    • @Nocturne22
      @Nocturne22 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you spend two weeks eating just one thing, no matter what it is, you're going to get sick...

      Eh, most people in Asia eat white rice every single day in reasonable amounts, often with little meat, and they're perfectly fine. Maybe it's genetic, but high starch diets aren't inherently bad whatsoever.

    • @iluvhotblondes
      @iluvhotblondes 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nocturne22 bullshit. i eat pho soup EVERYDAY for years. 2x day usually. i can also eat chicken enchiladas breakfast/lunch/dinner till the cows come home. then i use the tripe / brisket / tendon and put it back in the next batch of pho. mcd's makes me sick in 2 HOURS! not my cooking tho...

    • @Nocturne22

      I can eat all the McDonalds I want and not get sick, ever.
