This intro has befuddled me for years, Jeff. Thanks for illuminating the concept behind Scott’s double-kick assault. There is still a lot of homework ahead, but now I have the official Bowders road map, so getting there will be much … less befuddling.

Jeff...you're one of my favorites...not only are you a great drummer in your own right, but you're an excellent teacher. Some of the "Greats" can play the most technical parts but couldn't explain their way out of a wet paper bag. That's what separates you from them.

Scott's groove on Racer X's "Hammer Away". Not super technical, but super groove'n with double kicks. And of course, "Scarified".
The pattern in the pre chorus is such a great example of a musical drum composition.

Thank you! That's a good idea. Just may have to do that. In the meantime, the biggest factor is tuning the drum to your style and playing that way consistently. Everything else is just decoration.
